iGot Good News For U

If you can't bear to fly without your iPod - and can afford the ticket - take a look at United's flight #936 from Washington, D.C. to Zurich, Switzerland. It will be the first flight to offer "iPod and iPhone connectivity," according to a press release issued today by United Airlines.
Passengers in first and business class can plug in their portable device and watch or listen to their own music and videos on a 15.4-inch personal television - with the added benefit of charging their device as they cruise at 30,000 feet. I guess you still need to bring an extra battery if you're in the back of the plane with the rest of us.
United says its entire fleet of international and wide body aircraft will be reconfigured to host iPods over the next two years. And no: None of this means you can use your iPhone to make phone calls in mid-air.
