Picture of Obama's Plane After Forced Landing
July 10, 2008 1:23 PM
New photos and an update on the investigation into what caused Senator Barack Obama's plane to land unexpectedly earlier this week:
"Preliminary findings reveal that the slide was partially inflated and the inflation bottle was empty,” the National Transportation Safety Board said in a Thursday statement. “Examination of the hardware did not reveal any evidence of missing components, nor any evidence of tampering."
The safety agency released a photo of the Midwest Airlines MD-81 plane carrying the presumptive Democratic nominee and compared it to what that part of the plane should have looked like.
Here's a photo of the slide in Obama's plane.
And here's a photo of what it should have looked like during the flight.
NTSB said the slide and hardware have been taken from the plane for further examination, as have flight recorders. Although the flight crew said they detected stiffness in the controls after takeoff, the NTSB added that, "flight crew statements indicate that the crew did not hear the slide deploy in flight nor did a mechanic who was seated in the rear of the airplane."

I can't believe ABC just allowed a post wishing the death on a U.S. Senator and Dem nominee. Scary. What is wrong with these people who hate so much.
Nester, I bet you call yourself a Christian. Very Sad.

Has America become so polarized that we wish death upon those who do not think the same way we do? Are we seeing the undoing of America?

Sorry you hate Obama so much, nester. But those of us who want him for our next President do plan to support him and will vote for his election. We had to put up with Bush and his band of imcompetent, war-mongering, arrogant, law-breaking lowlifes for 8 years, while this country has been destroyed, so you'll just have to put up with Obama for 8 years. That's how it goes. The pendulum swings both ways.

Nester,
I will pray for you.

As a former Midwest Airlines employee... Midwest has a reputation for keeping their planes in sound condition at all times. For this situation to occur, and it was on a much older plane because of the 717 came into play, this whole situation is just a freak incident. As, you can tell, even though the pilots did notice some stiffness among their controls, they did keep the plane in complete control and kept everyone on board safe. Congratulations Midwest on making this a successful landing.

Obama's plane has a malfunction. Ron Paul - the thorn in the side of the republican machine - has the plane's cabin depressurize and goes into a deep dive.
Does anyone remember Paul Wellstone's plane crash?
hmmmmm?

I am glad Senator Obama's plane landed safely. Just wondering if anyone else has anyone thought of a possible conspiricy angle in this incident? Think of Vince Foster, Mary Mahoney, James Bunch, Stanley Huggins, etc.

You Dems getting about Nester's comments should look in the mirror. Just look at any left wing website such as DailyKaos, Moveon etc etc etc. There's repeated calls to kill anyone who doesn't "agree" with them. Remember "Lets kill Hyde and his children, and rape his wife"...
Pot, meet black kettle...

Nester you sad, sad man. Internet continues to be cesspool of low-lives. Unfortunately, we humans have to swim in it.

John Right is Dead Wrong..
DailyKaos, Moveon has nerver said to kill anyone. Meanwhile you 2nd amendment freaks shoot at children in Knoxville and when it looks like you can't cheat your way into the Whitehouse you suicide shoot at Democratic leaders in Arkansas.
you look in the mirror - and view your Nazi images

Yeah Kate, why don't you nasty wretched liberal kooks look in the mirror and talk about all that hurrahing over the death of Conservatives like Heston and the wishes of death on the likes of Cheney. Then look out the window and watch how your fellow left wing environmental nazis (MENTAL indeed) torch auto dealerships and new homes being built. Look in the mirror indeed. For the record, I do NOT agree with what "nester" said. Uncalled for and an unacceptable comment, like what I read on Daily Kos and Democraticunderground all the time.

I don't know who Nester is, I hope someone else gets elected but it's rude to assume that he's a Christian.
Talk about jumping to conclusions.
So Mesq, I guess you call yourself an atheist. (Purposing using the same judgment method against you)

I think it is a miracle you liberals (who think it is ok and a right to murder unborn kids) can even look at yourself in the mirror.

Go to a Catholic Church on Saturday afternoon and speak with a Priest. He (apon confession) will absolve you of your sins......and sin no more

I view Hussein as riding in the womb as an unborn baby. The coat hanger is inserted, but just missed his chin. What ye reap ye shall sow.

Wow can't believe I wasted my time reading all this stuff.

The difference between liberals wanting to see Cheney dead and conservatives who wanted to see Obama's plane crash is that liberals believe in due process. As in, Cheney would be charged with international war crimes and war profiteering, convicted at the Hague, and hung from the gallows. You just believe that Obama should be killed in a "accidental" plane crash.

Bob - Obama can prevent hundreds of thousands of abortions that would occur if McCain were in power. The first few years of the Clinton administration lowered the number of abortions by 500,000. Obama supports extra education to fight teen pregnancy, and the relief he would provide the poor would allow more women the hope to keep their babies. Bush wants health care providers to be able to refuse to provide contraceptives for moral objections (such as that the insurance company doesn't want to pay). McCain parrots Bush half the time and supports Roe vs. Wade the other half, but he will never be able to think like Obama and he'll never do anything to really stop abortions now.

Another religious grouped wished for heavy rain during Obama inauguration. They are as radical as the radical muslims they so hate. They are so brain dead and that is why this country is in deep kakapupu. It is an embarrassment when traveling overseas to be thought of as an American idiot. I usually say I am of South American heritage and need to explain the thinking of rednecks, unthinking religious morons and republicans.

Some of these posts just show how Americans waste technology. Just wait, when the ISP's start charging by the down and upload (Time Warner already does) they you will wish you saved your insane insults and name calling to battle corporate interests that are taking your pensions, getting corporate welfare and taking away your ability to spew such nonsense. Ah the American way...cut off nose and spite face. No wonder the rest of the world thinks we are stupid.
