Wandering in West Virginia
September 18, 2008 10:57 AM
ABC News Travel takes you to the great state of West Virginia this morning on our tour of 50 states in 50 days. At this morning's whistle stop, we visit with West Virginians who are talking about the economy, learn how a rich history has shaped the local White Hall Tavern in Harper's Ferry, and take you behind the scenes to see how the GMA team is reveling in its time on the road.
In other travel news, we check out Minnesota's smart new bridge, opening today one year after the Minneapolis bridge collapse. We give you tips for renting a vacation home this fall. Our partners at USA Today examine how airports are going green – whether installing wind turbines to turning to toilets that use less water. Also consider these questions as you mull your next vacation or even your evening commute: Does Chicago need a new airport? Can mass transit make you sick?
