Rift Cracks 'Demoralized' McCain Campaign
October 28, 2008 2:40 PM
The McCain campaign is definitely demoralized right now. The blame game has begun.
There is no question that there is a rift between Sarah Palin's camp and that of John McCain inside the Republican campaign, sources tell ABC News.
To read more about the McCain campaign, click here for my Nightline analysis on ABCNews.com and watch the video below.

Shouldn't "Sarah Palin's camp and that of John McCain" be one in the same. If they are that divided now I truly feel sorry for them. Evidently, they aren't in touch with the majority of American people and if they are in touch they sure haven't been convincing. If they were they'd be winning.
Anyway I'm voting for Obama/Biden because this nation needs real change from the Bush-McCain policies that have ravaged our country for the last eight years.
Everyone still considering voting for McCain, think of this. If McCain's campaign is so poorly run, off message and plagued with in-fighting as it apparently is, how do you think he would run a McCain administration?
Obama/Biden '08!!

Mccain look at your Campaign,Its a mess you have no message, you have done nothing but lie,You have done nothing but attack Obama and Biden, and your VP Is out of Control. A few weeks before she was nominated for Vice-President, she told a visiting journalist—Philip Gourevitch, of this magazine—that "we’re set up, unlike other states in the union, where it’s collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs."
lol
i guess palin is a socialist
and didnt mccain say something on hardball that was basically people who are rich shoudl pay more than those that dont
oops socialist

What an embarrassment both of them are for the Republican party and the United States.
It is over for both of them.

is it me, or "being proud" is something parents say about their children, not colleagues say about each other?

My Friends, I'm truly sorry for what I have become. The maverick I was when I ran in 2000 would denounce my campaign tactics in 2008.
You have to understand that my unraveling and incoherent campaign is largely not my fault, but the fault of Republican operatives formerly of the Bush camp.
They made me pick Palin when I wanted to pick Joe (Lieberman) or Tom (Ridge). They told me to embrace the negative smears on my opponent that I once aggressively denounced when they were instigated against me.
I apologize for what I let them do. It wasn't completely me. They told me what to do and I went with it.
I do have to say the McCain of 2000 would cast a vote for Barack Obama, not the sorry Bush clone of McCain 2008. Thank you my friends.

What I realized this weekend after speaking to mom about McCain/Palin is this:
All she has is the regular TV stations, they show a perfect McCain/Palin. She knew nothing about Palin being on any stage referring to Obama as a possible Terrorist, people calling out "Kill him". She also only listens to Republican talk radio stations.. Do we have any Democrat Talk Radio Stations in the State of Iowa??? My mom was so confused when I was telling her just half of the crap McCain/Palin have lied about. She called McCain a perfect man... LOL
The Democratic party need to somehow get their message out to the older generations. They do not have computers, cable TV.

The French Embassy puts out a statement denying the Haaretz report that an Israeli official said President Sarkozy was troubled by his Iran policy:
The remarks attributed by the newspaper Haaretz to the president of the French Republic concerning Sen. Obama's positions on Iran are groundless. To the contrary, the in-depth discussions between the president of the Republic and Sen. Obama on Iran during their meeting in Paris in July demonstrated a broad convergence of views on this issue. President Sarkozy and Sen. Obama agree to oppose Iran's development of a military nuclear capability.
The statement doesn't answer the question of whether Sarkozy is worried that Obama's direct talks with Iran would get in the way of the current proces
funny that this story is being circulated on ABC on the day mccain camp is trying to redeploy its old false ad
also funny that abc is the only major network not able to air the obama 30 minute spot
jealous much?

If you can't run a campaign how can u run the country.
Not only Palin problems but
McCain has Joe the plumber on the campaign trail saying Obama would bring death to Israel.
Using this idiot as a metaphor is one thing but making him famous on the campaign trail means his comments are tied to McCain.....a nail in McPain coffin the last week of the campaign

Becky,
Good point. I agree completely. In a perfect world all media would present all sides of every debate equally and unbiased. When it comes down to it the media only present what suits their particular interests.

Rift Cracks Republican Party too!
The Republican Party has opened up a perfect window for a third political party to emerge. There are so many disenfranchised Republicans because the party has moved SO radically right, they are unable to even see the center anymore.

And about that McCain character, Blind ambition! His own words from McCain's book Worth the Fighting For:
"I didn't decide to run for president to start a national crusade for the political reforms I believed in or to run a campaign as if it were some grand act of patriotism. In truth, I wanted to become president because it had become my ambition to be president. I was 62 years old when I made the decision, and I thought it was my one shot at the prize...
"In truth, I'd had the ambition for a long time... it had been there, in the back of my mind, for years, as if it were simply a symptom of my natural restlessness."
- John McCain
Stay anything, do anything, I wanna be POTUS dammit! Agenda?!? Who needs a stinkin AGENDA?

Will you please report on what Sen. Obama said today when he stated that we need a "Second Bill of Rights" so everyone will be able to have a job, a home, etc.,. He has consistently attacked the constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the founding fathers. The framers of the constitution did not intend socialism. It is evident that socialism doesn't work. Socialism and Social Justice are two different things so don't confuse the two. Sen. Obama should be troubling to all of us.

Chuck
What has your republican President done to the Constituion over the past 8 years. How did you know what they intended? Were you there?
Besides the only reason you are calling it socialism is because every right wing nut and McCain told you to.
Posted by: Jwench | Oct 28, 2008 3:40:55 PM
Oh chuck you have way to much time on your hands - try taking up golf or maybe doing something good for your community. The government has already taken over the banks - so what - if it works - fine - if we can get people back to work - fine - if it stabilizes the economy - fine.

Why isnt obama blowing away mccain? He is out spending with a 3 to 1 ratio. Is this how New England felt in the superbowl last year.

I agree. The current way of doing things doesn't seem to work.

Dear Sen. McCain --- you have been having a hard time managing your message, reining in your erratic behavior and controlling your own campaign as well as your "maverick" running-mate. What do you think makes you qualified to be our next president?
Posted by: teddymaniac | Oct 28, 2008 3:50:54 PM
The only evidence of Obama's "socialism" are refundable tax credits which requires you to work.
But John McCain proposes a $5000 refundable tax credit for health care, and this is NOT tied to work
Posted by: becky | Oct 28, 2008 4:17:41 PM
Yet they are on the same page when it comes to attacking Senator Obama. They do NOT have a real plan for America at all except to repeat the same failed policies of the past and try to sound democratic about it on John's end and sarcastic on Sarah's end.Obama = Hope & Change
Posted by: TV | Oct 28, 2008 4:43:35 PM
Family feud in McCain's camp. lol

Obama has set forth plans to free money in government being used on failed progams & policies, to free &10 billion a month by bringing to an end a war that was started because of a lie. McLame has been in 3 debates, numerous rallies, have you heard him list his policies, No!!! Because if he does, we will hear that it is the same as Bush, an arrogant, beligerent, lying ???????
Sarah Palin is a laugh, very unprofessional... winking, silly????

Don't believe media spin about this election. The media has been pushing Obama from day one and doing everything possible to damage McCain. Obama is a classic liberal. He's Santa Claus in a suit. The rich guy is going to pay for everything. Anyone who falls this tripe is a dunce.
