Ted Kennedy Returning to DC
October 28, 2008 10:46 AM
Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., is returning to him home in Washington D.C., sources tell ABC News.
He will continue his treatments in Washington and may go to his Senate office during lame duck session where he hopes to work on his health care plan and participate in the stimulus debate during the lame duck session of Congress, sources say.
Kennedy, the third-longest-serving senator in history and patriarch of the Kennedy family, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in May.
The longtime Massachusetts Democrat has been at his family's compound in Cape Cod and undergoing treatment.
Kennedy's last major public appearance was at the Democratic National Convention in August where he gave a rousing speech endorsing Barack Obama for president.

Hooray. He's back where he belongs and where the country needs him to be.
Keep up the good recovery, Senator!

Welcome back Senator! God Bless you.

I'm pretty neutral on Kennedy, not sure if I like him or not. But I do know that I wish him and his family well. Having lost a family member to an inoperable brain tumor, my heart goes out to them.

He wants to see if any one wants to go for a ride in his car.

Ted is a true, patriotic American like the rest of us. His family has given so much to this country.

The comment about the car ride is uncalled for. You are nasty and should just keep your ugly thoughts to yourself. Why don't you go to a Palin rally where people want to hear the crap that comes from your mouth and Palin's.

God Bless Ted Kennedy his family has weathered many obstacles and still they serve this country I wish him well and pray he gets better.

Regarding the comment about the car ride: We all know the story. We all know you Republicans like to regurgitate it. How's this one for you. Let's say it's a story about George W. Bush, the man responsible for more than 4,000 deaths in Iraq. Hey, anybody want to start a war?

he's not dead yet? bummer...
Posted by: David | Oct 28, 2008 11:32:34 AM
TYPO ----it should say "his" and not "him" in the first papragraph.
Posted by: Marie | Oct 28, 2008 11:34:20 AM
Yeah welcome back Ted...maybe you can support some more legislation allowing even more illegal immigrants into this country to dilute our soveriegnty and burden the legal taxpayers just like you did in the 60's. You are a true patriot.

Welcome back Ted Kennedy. You have been missed. I don't always agree with you but I admire your spirit and dedication over the years. I pray for you and your recovery.

Just what we need - another liberal Democrat in Washinton. Groan.

What a load of crap. Ted is a drunk and his family is loaded with controversy, conspiracy and lies. I don't wish anything bad for him but I'm not ready to drink the kool-aid yet and kiss his but like some posters here
Posted by: jaded | Oct 28, 2008 11:40:35 AM
P.S. Ted is nothing like his brother JFK whose Democratic Party then is nothing like the Democratic Party now.
Posted by: Gary | Oct 28, 2008 11:42:34 AM
Ted is no saint, just a man. The Kennedys are not royalty, just another family who have had their share of ups and downs and questionable dealings. Don't make more of them or him than what they and he are.

...If he only returned to the car he deliberately sank to rescue the drowning woman he impregnated.

"he's not dead yet? bummer..."
what a nasty and uncalled for comment, just remember what goes around comes around after all your repub leader is not that far from kicking the bucket himself.

"Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., is returning to him home in Washington D.C." To ABC editors: I just don't understand why it's so darn difficult for you folks to weed out errors BEFORE you post them for all the world to see. If your language standards are this low, it makes me wonder about your journalistic standards as well. Don't you even care? FIRE YOURSELF AND HIRE A HIGH-SCHOOL HONORS STUDENT TO PROOFREAD FOR YOU!

Kitty you are so unkind. This world needs a change from people like you.You should be out ther with Palin/Mccain with your hate. I'm glad to see Ted still able to get around and still here with us all. Kitty you cannot possibley call yourself a Christian.
Posted by: linda | Oct 28, 2008 11:45:41 AM
Hey Linda, maybe you didn't pick up Kitty's tone in her post...she probably doesn't call herself a christian....she calls herself a Democrat!
