Hillary for Secretary of State?
November 14, 2008 9:43 AM
You heard it HERE first.
But here are the big questions. . .
1) Which meme will win out: Team of Rivals or Too Much Clinton?
2) What does Joe Biden think?
3) Does Hillary Clinton really want it?
4) Can the appointment be squared with former President Bill Clinton's work?
5) What does Michelle Obama think?

Anything the Clinton's do for Obama has strings attached. This is a thinly disguised 3rd term for the Clinton's. If something happens to Obama and Biden, Hillary is next in line to the throne and "Billary" all over again. Obama sold out to the Clinton's already. We're tired of the Clinton's; his and her corruption. Enough already. We didn't vote for the Clinton's. Annie Oakley is here!!

I don't get question 5... What does MICHELLE OBAMA think?? Isn't that a stupid question? Why should her opinion matter? Hillary would make a formidable Secretaty of State! So that's ALL that matters!

No, no, no.

Question 5 is a loaded question that is not needed in politics. If the Clinton in question was Bill the question would not be on the list. It is the sort of politics that has no place in this discussion or any discussion regarding women in politics. What is the actual answer George is looking for?

I think they are all up for a "superhero team" in the face of the implsion of the world as we know it...
my guess is there is a good chance even mccain will sign on...
let us not forget ...when it is all said and done...these people have spent more time with each other than anyone they are looking at outside of them
they know each other...and most of them know the other wants what is best for this country
and all of them want to be a part of a team that history will oook back and say they saved us from destruction.

During the campaign Hillary indicated that she is not willing to talk with advesaries. Contrary to Obama's views.
I wonder how she fill force herself incase she is appointed Secretary of State to apply the diplomacy she doesn't
believe in. The outcome of it am afraid won't give the results Obama and the rest of us expect to be achieved.

for two years they all have been the face of America...
they have been the same team...even with the differences for 2 years...
talking about
thinking about discussing learning and debating the massive issues that face us
that is the team I want to continue.
America's Team.
you know the one that use to be the torch...the beacon.

Why would anyone want to end a Senate career to go be part of a team where you aren't liked and you serve at the discretion of the President? Your replacement in the Senate will likely have the position for several terms so why leave unless you are on your way out anyway.

and FM
Hillary said without pre conditions and she was talking about the President position not sec of state
if Obama picks her it means he may understand her logic even if he doesn't agree.
she is perfect for this position.
and I was not a fan during the primaries... but I personally want the best team.

because if this team solves the problems...that is lifetime achievement to be a member.
and if they don't it won't matter anyway.

Tracyj: You need to go back and read the Presidential Succession Act of 1947. Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House is third in line for the Presidency. You are making the same mistake as Alexander Haig made when Regan was shot.
Posted by: tiredtoo | Nov 14, 2008 10:49:25 AM
Hillary would not be next in line - Pelosi would. Then Robert Byrd. THEN Secretary of State
Posted by: Kennedy | Nov 14, 2008 10:59:55 AM
The debates, Hillary Clinton didn't even know who was the President of the Russia. She talked about landing in combat zones in Bosnia and working on the Northern Ireland peace accords, all lies. She is seen internationally as a fraud and back woods lawyer who does deals, lies and takes back handers as in the countless sleaze deals that came out of her white house. She would be an insult to the US as secretary of state.

I think Hillary Clinton would be more effective as Senate Majority Leader, but that begs the question of what to do with Harry Reid. Given that Nevada's governor is a Republican, giving him a cabinet position to make way for Clinton is probably out of the question.

Periodically, Obama gets feeling down and starts launching attacks to boost his appeal.
This Machiavellian Prince of the White House is so misogynist that he will not appoint a woman of distinction who happens to have won the nomination from him with a higher percentage in popular support than his. The rigged caucuses and strong-arm tactics of the Obama thuggery campaign ensured that the dead were resurrected in time to vote for The Great Leader with the Anorexic Resume!
Now, if this Senator with 143 days' experience ever gives Hillary Clinton the Secretary of State post it will be because she will be more capable as Senator in the House to argue against his stupidly anemic and self-serving oba Myopic policies.
Obama thinks he's the incarnation of Reagan! What a joke if it turns out that he is!

Hillary Clinton would have won in a LANDSLIDE. This election the independents and the sane republicans and democrats would have voted for a ham sandwich to get rid of the Bush Catastrophe!
That Obama won with such a few percentage points over McCain does not look to good for his future 'ability to Heal'! Palin was right, this inexperienced, narcissistic guy from Hawaii's prep schools doesn't know how to do anything but allow others to run a terrific campaign.
Obama is the weakest presidential candidate in history. Playing the RACE-BAITING CARD was his most successful policy initiative!
If it weren't for the gender-bashing going on in this election Barry would be back in Kenya where he campaigned for his cousin Odinga, giving him $50,000 donation for his "change and hope" campain in '06. Odinga supported Sharia Law and Obama contributed his money knowing what Odinga (billionbaire slum landlord of Kenya and now Prez) would do to women's rigts in Kneya.
Now, 100,000 homeless women in Kenya thanks to Barack Hussein Obama! He'll make a wonderful president--in Kenya where women are uneducated and more easily exploited. Bush II Term 3 has just began!

Hillary would make a great Secretary of State. Unlike that apparition of YesSirrism Condi Rice, she has a mind of her own. Of couse we all know how Barack stole the election from her. But let's give her either the Defence or State.
and then give Larry Summers the Treasury. It would fit nicely with what Barack has in mind for women in the sciences and math!!

George:
WHO GIVES A FLYING STOOL ABOUT WHAT MICHELLE OBAMA THINKS OF ANYTHING?
SHE'LL BE TOO BUSY TAKING ANGER-MANAGEMENT COURSES NEAR THE WHITE HOUSE ANYWAY....

Obama's the most geographically-challenged prez in history.
Imagine...Back in Indonesia they taught him there are 57 states! He's BUSH JOKE No. 3!

Hillary “Clinton name” maybe “a gold standard” but there are rogue countries out there that have not forgotten their encounters with her husband, President Bill Clinton. While in office, President Clinton fought against terrorism and that did not sit well with some factions of these countries, and they may seek revenge by trying to harm her in international stage. This is just a thought to be considered.

Watch the view with Obama and the women On the View--on Jay Leno!
Why is Obama so NERVOUS BEING CLOSE TO WOMEN? So fidgety, 20 times he straightened out his clothing, etc. Why is he so uncomfortable with women? Ah...good old Jay, he hit the nail on the head! God help us and the rest of the World with what appears to be
BUSH'S SHRUB TERM THREE. THE OBAMA PRESIDENCY!

"The Borgen Project has some good info on the cost of addressing global poverty.

Some posters here need to re-read the constitution--if Hillary Clinton becomes Secretary of State...NOOOOO...she will not be third in line behind Obama and Biden for this mythical 'third' term. For 200 years, the Speaker of the House (currently Nancy Pelosi) is the third in line for the presidency. This is 9th grade civics, people!!

I would of voted for Louis Farranken if he was on the ticket... that's how bad I wanted Bushee policy out.

I am an American of Hispanic heritage and I just quench everytime I hear that Obama should offer governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson a post in his administration because he (Richardson) helped Obama win over one million Hispanic voters from state.
First of all, if this was true then why wasn't Richardson able to do it for himself when he was running for office one million Hispanic voters instead of the what 0.00001 percent???
Hillary is over qualify to be offer a post by an underqualify like Obama.
Richardson is an Idiot!
