Hillary for Secretary of State?
November 14, 2008 9:43 AM
You heard it HERE first.
But here are the big questions. . .
1) Which meme will win out: Team of Rivals or Too Much Clinton?
2) What does Joe Biden think?
3) Does Hillary Clinton really want it?
4) Can the appointment be squared with former President Bill Clinton's work?
5) What does Michelle Obama think?

@tracyj: "If something happens to Obama and Biden, Hillary is next in line to the throne and "Billary" all over again."
Your elementary school, middle school, and high school history classes taught the fact that the person in line for the throne after the Vice President is the Speaker of the House, followed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.
All departmental secretaries come after the President Pro Tempore in order of creation of the department. Since the State Department was the first, that puts Hillary Clinton after the President Pro Tempore.

I believe it's more like Hillary sold out herself, and her supporters.
Ahhhh Washington as usual - and you lemmings thought it would be "Changed." Fools!

I'm sure Michele Obama will run for the vacant senate seat in NY - the writings on the wall - Obamas = black version of the Clintons - only worse!

"I would of voted for Louis Farranken if he was on the ticket... that's how bad I wanted Bushee policy out.
Posted by: Go Hillary"
Wow - what an ignorant statement - typical Obama base - illiterate!

Are the Clintons already in control ?
WHAT is Obama thinking, or is he thinking.
Was this the price of the Clinton endorsement ?
I feel like Obama is giving his original supportors the finger....

Let's get something straight. All this talk about the Clinton's being bad for the country is just ludicrous!!! I assume if you are old enough to comment on this story you are old enough to remember the 90's. President Clinton was the best thing to happen to this country since FDR. Why would he meddle in the affairs of state? He is a very popular former President. His foundation has negotiated treaties with African countries to help the dying get medication for free. He has helped those countries work with the US in retiring their debts. This is a great man. I alsoo would like to point out that most of us enjoyed the nice salaries that we were getting in the 90's. Remember the very first thing the President did was pass a huge economic recovery package...Sounds as though Obama is following the same playbook. Kudos for Hillary Clinton. I think it is fantastic that she is going to be the SOS. Why in a time of crisis would a new President put a new tot in the position. Do you people even know what it takes to govern this massive country? Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton are both assets to this nation. I thank Bill Clinton for the policies of the 90's that made college more affordable and allowed the private sector to grow. The left wing liberals of the Democratic party need to get over themselves. You sound as if Bill Clinton will be selling weapons to terrorists thru back channels of the State Department. Grow up. He will be doing the same thing he has been doing for the past 8 years...making sure everyone has the ability to achieve their potential. Remember Americorps? President Clinton is responsible for that. He asked us to be better people. Seems as though all we were able to become were bitter people. I am a Hillary Clinton supporter who is beyond thrilled at the possibilities of the new Obama Administration. Let's get behind this President. Let's change this country. Remember "change?" Yeah, it was the same slogan President Clinton ran on in 1992. He left office the most popular President since FDR and was the only Democrat who was able to get re-elected since FDR as well. I like the CLintons and I applaud both of them for putting their country and it's people first. Thank you President and Senator Clinton. Thank you for working your butts off to get President Obama elected. Thank you for offering your advice to the new President. Thank you President Obama for showing courage and leadership. That is why I voted for you.
