I smell "puppy breath" coming from the White house.

Posted by: Yankee | Nov 2, 2008 9:58:01 AM

As I see it, there were two key elements to this election that I noted early on.
The first was a profile more than a year ago in the Atlantic Monthly in which the author said: "Obama's history is our destiny." It seems to me that there is a yearning for an end to divisiveness in this country and no issue has been more divisive in the history of this country than race.
The second is something that occurred to me as I considered my own vote in the Democratic primary. I looked back over the last three presidencies: Bush-Clinton-Bush. Was it really to be Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton? I really didn't like the idea of a permanent ruling class handing the presidency back and forth between the chosen families. It smacked to me of the Roman Republic's later days. In the end Obama was, if nothing else, clearly a break from that.

I echo it all in simple translation....

Obama and the Democrats in a LANDSLIDE!

POTUS OBAMA - IT'S A LOCK!!!

I'm still afraid to hope.

Amazing that ABC News leans so predominatley left. Is it possible to get a more substantial slant to the political left on one Round Table discussion. How about some diversity in a discussion so close to a very important Presidential Election. Why would I expect anything more from ABC News. "Amazing"

My prediction for Election Night:

2008 Election:
Obama 489, McCain 49

Which is the same as...

1980 Election:
Reagan 489, Carter 49

I don't really care much for the Senate or House outcomes, but the GOP is in big trouble on November 4, 2008. No recount will save the GOP this time.

Obama/Biden '08

It's never over until the fat lady sings. But the way it stands, McCain would have to win every single one of the swing states, and most of those are leaning Obama. All Obama needs to do is win one of them (or 2 if he wins NV or NM which are only 5 EV's each). I'll be out getting the Obama word out all the way until the polls close on Tuesday, but at this point, it's looking pretty good.

Posted by: FLVoter | Nov 2, 2008 10:14:28 AM

You have got to understand if Obama is elected he will be sort of like Fidel Castro. If no one in the USA is allowed to be rich we will ALL be poor just like in Cuba where no one can afford a new car anymore never mind a new house. He also used cocaine in his 20's would you hire him if he said that in a job interview? If foreign investors like China and other countries see him as the 'tax man' they will no longer invest in America and start investing where its cheaper and more lucrative for them. When the war ends not only the soldiers will be out of work, but all the companies that supply the military will also have massive layoffs thereby hurting the economy even worse. THE COUNTRY IS AT WAR!!! THE WAR IS KEEPING THE USA ALIVE ECONOMICALLY. It employs millions and millions of workers. It generates trillions of dollars for our current economy. Its why we arent in a depression yet! Also the Dems and Barney Frank want to cut military spending by as much as 25% (but not end the war) so this would leave our troops leaving them in harms way these cuts mean they dont get the extra armor for vehicles or body armor etc. For our troops to be outgunned and under armored means we lose the war! America needs to be ready to win the war we are in and any future war. I dont see Obama as a war time leader he is more of a Jimmy Carter. I like the Halloween candy analogy 'redistribution of wealth' means one kid go's out and gets all the candy but has to SHARE all the candy with his brothers and sisters (leaving him not so rich). I dont want to live in the "United States of Cuba" ask any Cuban what its like to live under Castro. Also Obama lies! He even lied about his own Aunt. If he doesnt know about his own Aunt do you want him in charge of national securty???Vote McCain!!! Do you think the terrorists and Islamic Fundamentalists we are at war with will ever surrender?? They have been at war with each other for centuries!! Your childrens and their childrens future hinges on your vote. Vote for a safe USA and world! Vote McCain!

I hate to spoil the party for everyone, but I found "stuff" written by Barrack Obama himself in Bill Ayers own words:

These are writings from Barrack book that are attributed to Barrack on his views of White people. I think this is definitely racist but I guess its OK right?

From Dreams of My Father:'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'

'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'

Barrack has a pervasive sense of grievance against me and mine because I am / we are AngloSaxican? Would anyone blame us poor uneducated racist rednecks in PA for not jumping for joy at the thought of the Obamas in the white house?

ya'all know what I am talkin bout?

Well, you sure are showing your uneducated side!

Amazing.. these people aren't out in right field.. they are in the parking lot trying to find the entrance to the stadium. A poor reflection of the education system in America today.. something that Obama wants to change!

Obama in 2008 - for a better America
(even for the idiots out there)

I think your predictions are off. After reviewing an indepentent poll; the States you are giving to Obama, are tending to be closer to McCain. But then what else is new? I predict Obama 231 to McCains'276. And I do agree with FLVoter about Obama speachs on spreading the wealth, etc., with echos of Fidel Castor. I have studied history and all you have to do is go back to Castor's speches to understand were the left liberals are coming from. If this is were you want our Country to go then be prepared for what he and the left will slowly start doing to our country; starting with electing judges to the Court who will and want to change our FREEDOMS.

Posted by: lisa2012 | Nov 2, 2008 10:42:35 AM

So Obama is going to help me? What is he going to do pray tell? America doesn't need your kind of divisive change! America doesn't need to be divided by Black and White by Mr. Obama. We don't need his racist communist attitudes taught in our schools.

I think his mother made a huge mistake in her choices. I am pro-life, but in this case, I think I you will agree we could have made an exception with Obama and agreed with him.

Posted by: Infidel | Nov 2, 2008 10:46:13 AM

It sounds like people are looking for ANY excuse not to vote for a Obama regarding the fact that he is a black man. Here we are in the final stretch and it doesn't look good for McCain (D white man) and we resort to talking about his momma. Be proud of who you are! If you have a problem voting for a black man then say it but don't resort to BS comments and allegations as excuses for yourself.

Posted by: MyJewel | Nov 2, 2008 10:50:35 AM

Obama gives America plenty of reason, not excuses not to vote for him. Read his book:

From Dreams of My Father:'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'

'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'

Prediction?

Pain.

Posted by: Clubber Lang | Nov 2, 2008 10:57:21 AM

John McCain served more years in a POW camp for his country than Obama has served in the senate. - Arnold. sells itself.

Posted by: Infidel | Nov 2, 2008 10:57:39 AM

Same Gen outcome but the above numbers may be a little high for Obama. Ofcourse that depends on voter turnout for both parties.

Ah here they come, the thought controllers are logging in, a red alert sounded moments ago in the obama party HQ in the heart of cook county. Hundreds of overzealous otards login to spew forth the latest talking points from the dear leader...

My prediction is that one way or the other the extreme buttheads who have held sway over our economic and spiritual lives will go by the wayside.

Go to: www.buttheadpolice.com.

Vote for already has beens McCain and Palin to get asses stamped on their heads. All in good fun but makes a wicked statement. Spread the word!!
