This morning on our This Week Roundtable we made our predictions for Tuesday night's outcome:
Mark Halperin, Time Magazine:
Electoral Vote -- 349 Obama
Senate -- 58 Democratic seats
House -- Democrats net 28 House seats
Matthew Dowd, former Republican strategist:
Electoral Vote -- 338 plus Obama
Senate -- 8 plus pick ups for Democrats
House -- 17 plus pick ups for Democrats
George Will, ABC News contributor:
Electoral Vote -- 378 Obama
Senate -- 8 pick ups for the Democrats
House -- 21 pick ups for the Democrats
Donna Brazile, former Democratic strategist:
Electoral Vote -- Obama 343
Senate - Democrats 59 plus runoff
House - Democrats pick up 29
Here are my predictions ...
George Stephanopoulos:
Electoral Vote -- 353 Obama
Senate -- 58 Democrats
House -- House Democrats pick up 28 seats
Those are our predictions. What are yours?

I've got a prediction too...Nov 5th: Obama travels to Chicago to make amends with his buddies Ayers, Flagher, Wright, and all the other radicals, misfits, and whatnot he had to throw under the bus to get elected.

I think that the predictions accurately reflect everything that we're seeing going into the last few days of this election; the opinions expressed this morning reflect what the polls are showing, and the overall "wave" (as George put it) we're seeing in the national media. I do think, however, that any victory by the Obama campaign will not be as 'fantastic' as predicted. The electoral votes will provide him the presidency, but after a more conservative victory. Great discussion this morinig.

a 12 year old black child in the US who DID not struggle with his identity and the discrimination against people like him would have to be retarded. unlike McCain Obama was not handed life on a silver platter --
I knew his mother -- went to school with her -- and I am not surprised she produced such an intelligent, thoughtful and reflective son. as a teen she also struggled with the big issues that human's face -- she was a bright curious reflective person.
it is about time we had someone who isn't shallow and non reflective in the White House.

After watching George and George and the others this morning, I have finally made up my undecided Democrat mind! I will vote straight Republican. This country cannot afford to have that many Democrats in office in Washington at one time.

Hold on to those quotes because it may be all you have after Tuesday.
I agree the numbers predicted may be too high and other factors have to be considered but it appears right now that McCain's being a POW isn't really selling that much.

"it is about time we had someone who isn't shallow and non reflective in the White House." Oreally? lol
From Dreams of My Father:'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'
'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'
Just one lie after another with obama.

Infidel, don't you have anything better to do with your time that to quote something a guy said about what he thought when he was 13 years old?

Thank you Don and God bless you. America is full of Americans like you. Ones who have been betrayed by their party. Democrat heros like Zell Miller.

I think all those polls look great to me!!
Obama/Biden 08

I'm an Obama supporter but I have what I think are much more realistic numbers than what ABC is predicting. I have it as Obama 287-McCain 251. Granted I could be wrong, but I don't see him being able to turn red states in the south blue. I'd like it if he did but I just don't see it.

For you winger buttheads commenting here, ABC isn't leaning left - and you moes need to stop looking at the 'independent' polls that are fun by ignorant backwoods types like you. Obama will win even with you racists and fundamentalists out there trying to keep human beings evolving into decent human beings.
I'd say you should be ashamed of yourselves, but you have no idea what you should be ashamed of. You are lost at sea, trying to pull down any and all other poor saps that come into your grasp.
What we need to pray for are not the dumbass things you pray for, it's for inclusiviness, compassion and community to sweep over you numbnuts before your influence and dark energies sink all of us.

GOODBYE ABC News, Diane, Charlie & GEORGE!!! I've NEVER seen SO MUCH one-sided news reporting in my life time! You are NO longer respected or accepted in our home. We truly pray & hope that McCain/Palin WIN and snub you and your network for the next 4plus years! You deserve zero support from any of them! Hope your "obama" gives you plenty of material to keep you going...he does do some great stand-up comedy acts!!
Posted by: eli | Nov 2, 2008 11:10:36 AM
It is unfair that all your predictions favor Obama. You should have a real conservative with values, and gotten him really drunk, so he could predict a McCain victory. Bill Bennett would do it I'm sure.

What is wrong Dave, the guy was 8 years old when Ayers blew up the pentagon? That stuff doesn't wash here Dave. Obama was a full grown adult when he had Ayers ghost wrote his book for him and he put his name on it.
Ayers was an adult when he wrote Prarie Fire and dedicated it to Sirhan Sirhan. You remember that piece of filth don't you?
So here come the Chickens Dave, they are coming home to roost. Twenty years with a Black supremecist. Wow Dave. Its in his book. I don't see the problem with quoting him.
From Dreams of My Father:'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'
'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'
What your all afraid of is the real poll. Predictions aren't going to dampen our enthusiasm for America Dave. Though you may try, we aren't giving up.

Prediction - It's "Morning in America" come November 4th. Obama 44!
Posted by: Tiparillo | Nov 2, 2008 11:13:36 AM
In Sundays predictions of the winning margin for senator Obama there was no mention of those who will not vote for a black man regardless of who he is. I have seen guesses that Obama must have at least a 6% lead in most polls to overcome this fact. Your comments?

What did you expect from ABC news .....
They all blow in the same bag !!!!!!!!
Posted by: Joey | Nov 2, 2008 11:14:00 AM
McCain: 539
Obama: 0
Jesus gets his own electoral college vote.
Posted by: troll | Nov 2, 2008 11:15:10 AM
I've voted Republican all my life but I can't face voting for that fool McCain and that jackass Palin. I'm sitting this one out.

Predictions don't win an election. Votes do. We won't give up, we won't quit, we aren't going to stop.
Posted by: Infidel | Nov 2, 2008 11:15:43 AM
I hope for America's sake, that if Obama wins the "election" that George Bush declares martial law, and has Obama arrested for trying to subvert the
American government.
McCain will be an utter disaster for America, but Obama CANNOT be permitted to set foot in the White House.
For the sake of America, neither McCain nor Obama should be allowed to take over.
Long live George Bush!
Make him President for life!

Black people built the White House. It's about time some of them got to live in it.

It doesnt matter who wins the election...no matter who it is, we are all still screwed!

Bill Brown: " How about some diversity in a discussion so close to a very important Presidential Election."
At some point, diversity become a lie. They are reporting the facts, reality, including that suggested by right leaning polls (such as FoxNews among others). Would you have them live in a fantasy land for the sake of balance?
