Rice on Hillary: 'She's Terrific'
December 07, 2008 9:13 AM
Outgoing Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told me on "This Week" that she has spoken to Sen. Hillary Clinton, President-elect Barack Obama's pick for State.
"She's terrific," Rice said, "I have known her for a long time, ever since she brought her freshman daughter to Stanford when I was provost at Sanford. I think she's going to be terrific."
Of her possible successor, Rice said, "President-elect Obama has made his choice and he's made a terrific choice. Hillary Clinton is someone of intelligence and she'll do a great job. She also has what's most important to be Secretary of State, and that is that you love this country and you represent it from the basic of faith in it's values, and I know that she will do that."
Rice said she looks forward to returning to her life at Stanford University in about a month.
"I'm going to go back to Hoover at Stanford University, back west of the Mississippi where I belong," Rice said.
She said she'll be working on K-12 education issues.
"I really do believe that if we don't prepare our people for the concerns, the jobs of the 21st century, that we're going to turn inward, and we're going to protect, and if the United State turns inward and protects, the whole world will and that'll be a bad thing."

"Hillary is terrific." Really. Don't you mean HORRIFIC? And spell that first syllable any way you like.

One wonders: is Condi's focus on K-12 issues due to her experience with "W"?

Have you heard of Singapore math? Rice
did a fabulous job on the international
stage. What's even more impressive is the understanding of education as a national security issue for the future. Let's make sure the next generation of Americans is not afraid of the world.

Condoleeza Rice, a class act. She is worthy of the place she has earned in history. I would be glad for any one I know to study under her leadership.
I look forward to Dr. Rice's work and can only say that it is unfortunate that we will not have her service in the Executive Branch of the United States government for the next few years.
Dr. Rice, in your studies, do not forget to study the ways that well planned homeschooling enhances the lives of many K-12 students and the burden that is carried by those that choose to give their children quality educations from home.
All the Best!

I love both of these two women.
Hillary inspired me to be interested in presidential election.
Rice inspried me to be a great woman. I haven't played piano for months. Recently, I watched Rice's video playing piano in front of the queen. After that, I made up mind to continue playing piano too. No matter what work I do, I got remember, I'm a woman, I should keep improving myself as a woman. Thanks.

you people are a joke; comparing the usa to nazis is such a stupid and moronic comment. We took action after we had been attacked and a homicidal dictator was eliminated. You ignore what actually happened
