More Secret Nuke Sites in Iran?
September 27, 2009 9:00 AM
When I asked Secretary Gates if the US had evidence of more secret nuclear sites in Iran, he would only say "we're watching very closely." But his tight-lipped smile sure seemed like a "tell."
Here's the exchange...
STEPHANOPOULOS: US intelligence had been tracking this site for quite some time before President Obama made it public. Is this the only secret site that we know of?
GATES: Well, I’m not going to get into that. I would just say that we’re watching very closely.
STEPHANOPOULOS: Does the US government believe that Iran has an active nuclear weapons program?
GATES: I think, my personal opinion is that the Iranians have the intention of having nuclear weapons. I think the question of whether they have made a formal decision to move towards the development of nuclear weapons, uh, is in doubt.

A headline 8 years ago could read:
"More secret WMD sites in Iraq?"
The question is will the liberals come out against this war? Or is it wars with guys with D's after their names that they support.

This is sounding like Iraq spelled with an N instead of Q. We have seen this scene before. We fear Iran will make a nuclear bomb, is enriching bomb status uranium, and could use it against Israel and American interests. If Iran's nuclear ambitions NOW were 100% nuclear energy ONLY, that still means that in the future it could be a nuclear threat.
Even now nuclear waste from any nuclear energy facility around the world is highly toxic and could be used to make a dirty bomb causing many problems. We are fooling ourselves to think that a nuclear bomb is THE danger to be overcome. We would not be helping other nations build nuclear facilities if that were the case. This is more deception for further control in that area of the world. We better not fall for that AGAIN.
If all nations brought their nuclear weapons down to the lowest common denominator so each nation would have one, it still would cause the same concerns around the world. The only solution is to end nuclear energy for energy and weapons. We do not need nuclear waste that will someday leak from containers even in the most secure bunkers or waste that could be blown up in transit. We are going the wrong way.
If we leave the enslaving employment lifestyle, we would not need the energy that is dangerous, costly, and able to be used as a weapon financially or militarily. A garden paradise lifestyle ends the need for all polluting substances that have made the people and this planet diseased. It is a quick, easy, fair, inexpensive and beautiful lifestyle with families together. It is the only sustainable lifestyle. It is the blessing and prosperity of God with no sorrow, stress and enslavement added.
Employment Lifestyle Failed
Garden Paradise Life Wins

Gates has always appeared to be a very decent and honest man. I am thankful he has been retained in this administration.

I read that Iran shot 2 more short range missiles today (Sunday). I don't think the UN farce impressed Iran's president.
I wish Team Obama were better student's of history, but if they want to continue try the Wilson/Chamerlain diplomacy with Iran... it does not bode well.

I hope Obama comes up with something better than the "Highly Objectionable"whimper that he muttered about the release of the Lockerbie terrorist.Iran is probably reeling in fear, thinking what harsh words might be directed at them.

We have seen the 2nd stage of WW III with the missile tests in Iran.
Stage 3 will merge nuclear warheads with missiles.

You know, you guys can keep saying "secret nuke site" all you want, but we all know that this site was 1-not a secret (it was announced to the IAEA by Iran 12 months before it was legally required to be disclosed) and 2-not a nuke site (there's no evidence of a nuclear weapons program here or anywhere else in Iran)

hass, wow, your an insider or what. You believe everything Iran tells you. Then by jove, they will wipe Israel of the face of the earth, will have all nations bow before them. Islamic law will be inforced and if you do not agree you head will come off.

Iran should not arouse concern. Georgia is the most dangerous flashpoint. The Bible says: "At the appointed time [the king of the north = Russia] will return back [will regain the influence, which it lost after the break-up of the Soviet Union] and come into the south [many indicate that this might be Georgia], but it will not be as the former [1921] or as the latter [2008]. For the dwellers of coastlands of Kittim [the West] will come against him, and he will be humbled, and will return." (Daniel 11:29,30a) Then Iran will be humbled also. "But ships will come from the direction of Kittim, troubling Asshur [Russia] and troubling Eber [inhabiting on the other side the Euphrates]." (Numbers 24:24a, BBE)
At that time, peace will be taken from the earth and the "great sword" - nuclear sword - will be used. (Revelation 6:4) However, it will be neither the great tribulation nor "the end of the world" (Armageddon). As Jesus foretold, that will be "the beginning of birth pains". (Mathew 24:7,8)
