Luntz: Voters are 'Mad as Hell'

Republicans are not in touch with the average everday American. Though they try to appeal to the average main streem American, thier policies cater to the weathiest individuals and corpoprations that want rake in the profits but hold pay checks to a decline for workers. It is these policies that has had a direct affect on the recession and lead to an economic collapse. The wealthy does not feel the recession and does not care though they pretend to. As a consumer if you don't make money and get a least average wages you cannot afford to buy products. It is a very simple equation republicans don't seem to get. You have to recycle some of the profits to the people who make the profits possible. If you take away spending power you take away consumption and decline the economy. Most people want to work and just live and beable to buy things and enjoy some of thier life. Republicans recruit people like steele to pretend to be inclusive though Steele is just a puppet as the apology to Lembaugh proved. He carries no wait and what black American would want to follow him.

The attitude of passing the bill reminds me of the irresponsible antics of teenagers living up their joy ride while not considering the consequences their actions are having on the next day. Like those on a joy ride they ridicule voices of concern or warning to the point of victimizing them. The truth is often too hard for the hearing of those that are in denial. And as usual they will blame the voices of warning for being to harsh and not being more convincing.

I'm almost 61, I live in southern California, have worked in the residential housing field for most of my life. I have been out of work for 2 years. I am 5 months behind on my house mortgage payment, which is a fixed rate of 5.35% and will no doubt be forclosed on soon. And the government wants me to buy health insurance? I ask with what?

I will not consider nor will I sign any bill that excedes 900 billion, Why would we be mad as h... when the president of the united states lies and cannot stand on a principal what ever happened to honor, teach our children that it is ok to lie you bet im mad.

Unfortunately our congress has taken on the appearance of an electoral college, with only two party lines represented.

In a recent gathering one friend commented, "I just vote for the man", another said "the reality is that you are voting for the party".

In many respects the second comment is the more correct. The party can generally find a way to tempt, coerce or otherwise manipulate even a "blue dog" to come into line. If the party doesn't need the vote they will let the blue dog vote with impunity to garner his support back home. In the end a democrat is still a democrat in spite of his yellow or blue dog affiliation.

Hell yes we as Americans are mad. The "leadership" of this country has created an agenda that goes completely against what we Americans really want and need. We get a feeling of hopelessness. We see the constant bickering between the democrats and republicans, conservative and liberal, is anyone making an attempt to put politics aside and work for US as we elected them to do. Put the agendas aside and leave lobbuists out of the equation and honor the Constitution as it was intended by those who authored it.

I got curious,and read some of the Fox News watchers comments on this site,Wow I must say they are really like sheep,They all repeat the same talking points!marxist,socialist,etc..You would think that an individual would weigh in on the facts,and form an opinion on their own,instead of being told to oppose anything that is considered Liberal or Conservative,now that's really scary!they make the claim that the HCRB is too much to read,but yet they all know what's in it! which is it? either you read it and don't understand it,or you just listen to what someone told you! and join the frenzy like cattle lead to slaughter!Then you start saying that the 2010 elections are what the Conservatives are waiting for,but you all underestimate Obama's strategy,the real election is 2012, there is a lot of 14 year olds just waiting to follow in their parents and relatives footsteps to vote for President Obama in 2012.

Is bob one who doesn't worry about the future of a nation whose national debt of $12 trillion is forecast to double to $24 trillion by 2019? Just give me what I want today and let my grandkids deal with the debt. Well the news is your grandkids will have no option other than socialism if the debt rises to $24 trillion. The CBO says the current level of debt is unsustainable.

BTW, with respect to falsehoods if abortion wasn't in the bill why did PPA get so upset when it was taken out. If there are no death panels why were CER panels funded under the stimulus? When will our QALY scores be assigned?

Rober. You are correct. The new 18-22 year olds that will vote in 2012 are already being conditioned to vote for Obama. "What can you do to help Obama?" All under the watchful eyes of "community organizers" subverting the values of their parents.

Time to write a letter to the Chinese and tell them that you are going to quit your job and live on the government dole. Let Obama and the rest of the idiots figure out how to borrow money for their pipe dreams when nobody will lend it to them. Oh don't forget to write one to the Arabs too so they will know that if they keep buying T-bills nobody in this country is working and there is no revenue coming into the federal treasuary.

It's literally sickening, when Pelosi stands up and has that phony smile on her face, as if it was fixed by the dried pancake syrup she had yesterday. She has committed so many personal improprieties in her political life that are conflicts of interest with her job that it's sickening. She is in politics like so many others, to enrich herself and her family. She doesn't deserve to be in government "serving" American citizens. She is a crook along with ninety percent of the leftist Democrats and Rino Republicans. Americans have truly had it with these flakes.

Revolt

Of course people are "mad as hell", but mostly by the state this country was left in due to the last administration: we are in the middle of 2 wars, broke and going bankrupt! We are also mad as hell that we finally have leaders who are trying to do something about it and are being denied the ability to do their jobs by disruptive tactics from people who claim they are speaking for the rest of the country. Luntz is right about one thing:I am mad as hell! and I'm not willing to take the Republican party anymore and their attempts to legislate morality and destroy this country further by doing nothing but line their pockets with money from lobbyists and special contracts with big business!

who is John Galt?

Is there any possible way to have a taxpayer revolt? We are taxed before we get our paychecks and doing a work stoppage doesn't do anything but hurt the private sector. The government has its hooks so deep into the taxpayers that the only way to revolt is to quit/lose our jobs and go onto the dole. Oh wait... that's what they want us to do.

I agree TX, the government has us by the short hairs. It seems they believe we are incapable of thinking for ourselves and making decisions that are for our own good, not only as people but as a society. We are being turned into followers and not leaders in the world. I'm so tired of hearing about how much good the govenment is doing for me. I want to see some results. Do we have any leaders capable of working together for OUR good.
