NJ Dems Admit Robocalls Pushing 3rd Party Candidate

November 02, 2009 7:06 PM

That’s what PolitickerNJ.com is reporting.  Embarrassing for the Dems to get caught trying to talk up  Chris Daggett.

But not hard to see why they took the risk: The better Daggett does, the better chance Corzine has of keeping his job.

Will those calls  – plus the Democrats’ field game – be convincing enough to squeak it out for Corzine and save President Obama from having to explain a GOP sweep?

I still have my doubts.  The latest polls are no help at all.

Here’s my conversation with Charlie on World News.

With ACORN and SEIU helping with the election one can only imagine who will win this one. And the big ACORN associate in Washington is concerned?...Really chalk it up to more corruption........Christie needs to be be prepared to get a recount after its over.....After all we are talking ACORN the ones who are good at providing advice on how to defraud IRS and how to get funds to run a bordelo with 13 year olds. SEIU not much better.

Good luck on their con-job. It's right in line with the deception of this administration.

Plouffe will write another book on how they didnt do this and Acorn is just doing there job, what is there job to subvert any honest election?

It is interesting to read about the tactics the Dems are using in NJ - robocalls in favor of the Independent. Do they have no shame? This is integrity???????????????????? I am sure glad I don't live in NJ - sleaziness at its best (or is it worst). Politics is an ugly business without people stooping to such disgusting tactics. Are the Dems so unsure of their positions / candidate that they need this kind of behavior to try to influence their constituents? Shameful.

Now we are seeing that much touted TRASPARANCY

The Repbulicans have at least a 9 year head start on this one as this was taken out of the Republican playbook of 2000. See Ralph Nadar FL.

"The Repbulicans have at least a 9 year head start on this one as this was taken out of the Republican playbook of 2000. See Ralph Nadar FL."

=====
First: I personally didn't hear a thing about Republicans doing robo-calls to support another candidate so can't say one way or another.

But, just because someone else does something wrong doesn't mean it's OK to do it yourself. Or didn't your parents teach you that?

I used to be the biggest fan of Charlie Gibson...until he made it obvious which way he leans politically. I don't want to know which way a JOURNALIST votes. It is surprising to me that this story was way at the bottom on ABC's site and that there are not many comments about Corzine using robocalls to encourage voting for Daggett. Wouldn't he use those calls to encourage voting for himself? That says a lot about him and not too confident in winning. More slick and deceptive tactics from my Democrat Party. Charlie...you continue to break my heart by drinking the WH kool-aid.

Posted by: Karen | Nov 3, 2009 8:43:42 AM

Where's my comment about Perot? As far as drinking the cool aid, people have been screaming , "Where's the Conservative?" from the "big 3" since Edward R Murrow.

Do people not remember the big sting this year that took down dozens of democrat New Jersey politicians and civic leaders trying to sell body parts? The dems have no morals and freely admit they're humanists. Their god is their political agenda.

Posted by: afkbrad | Nov 3, 2009 9:08:34 AM

Karen, I'm with you on Charlie,he has let his liberal slant on the news become the news.First it was his peering over his glasses while grilling Sarah Palin, after pitching softball questions to Obama. Then his and ABC news failure to cover the Tax protest and Tea parties fairly. Then the revelation that he doesn't know or hasn't heard any problems with ACORN.Charlie has lost his integrity as a newsman.

Posted by: Johnny L | Nov 3, 2009 9:11:44 AM

Dems robo calling for the independent, this sounds unethical. Better get Charlie Rangel on this.

Posted by: jamescbuilder | Nov 3, 2009 9:19:45 AM

have U guys never heard of cable? does anybody even watch the evening news any more? unless you're somewhere left of nancy pelosi, who cares what the say on the evening news anymore?

Posted by: Jim Jordan | Nov 3, 2009 9:36:35 AM

Acorn brought some good old Chicago style politics to NJ.

ABC is in the TANK and has about the same credibility as MSNBC. ABC stands for Anybody But Conservatives

Posted by: Sam | Nov 3, 2009 11:42:06 AM

Whatever happened to the good ole days when journalists actually did their jobs and INVESTIGATED what was going on and REPORTED what they found, and let people draw their own conclusions? How about digging into what's actually in the healthcare bill, and reporting some specifics? How about reporting on the fact that the Democrats have hired gangs to go door to door to "urge" people to vote. Or the fact that there are already 18,000 absentee ballots turned in, when the norm is around 3,500.

Why don't you do some research and reporting on some of the people (besides Oprah and Brad) that have visited the Whitehouse?

ABC, it would be really nice if you did a story on something BESIDES what the Whitehouse has handed to you.

Are you proud of your party George?

How are the daily morning conference calls with Rahm & Carville going?

Still kinda tense after you asked the pres a couple real questions?

Still hoping you show some more enthusiasm for real journalism.
