Rudy on Palin: My Party Needs That Kind of Excitement
November 15, 2009 10:41 AM
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani was bullish on Sarah Palin’s future in the Republican party. This morning, Giuliani told me she’s “an exciting figure” and that the GOP “needs that kind of excitement.”
Even though he said last summer that she’s more qualified than Barack Obama, when I pressed him today on whether she’s qualified to be President, he would only say that she’s got 2 to 3 years to develop.
Watch more of Giuliani on Palin HERE:

Take Gulliano, that fake hero and coward, off your show. He was not a hero in 9/11. He was a spectator. His main concern was combining the two command posts. If he was a hero he would have taken command and given orders to save lives. All he had to do was order the evacuation of the two World Trade Towers but he choked. Then in the aftermath he was offered $10,000,000 form a Saudi sheik and he refused to accept the donation. Very nice for him to refuse money when he is a ward of the city and all his needs are met and paid. He should have accepted the money and turned it over to the families of the 9/11 victims. He could have made a statement after he accepted the money and said he was accepting this money and cleansing the money coming from the evil empire so the families can have this needed help but he choked, again. He is an arrogant coward that is allowing people to believe he is THE 9/11 hero. He needs to be ashamed of himself and has choked many times when he had the opportunity to be a hero and now keeps claiming he is the hero of 9/11. He is just an opportunist exploiting the 9/11 tragedy.

The republicans do not need useless excitement, they need policy ideas that make sense. I am looking towards a republican congressman that will be 77. This guy is old, but he predicted the economic crash causes years ago, and he told us that Iraq would be a mess and nation building is dumb.

Who's Sarah Palin??
Posted by: jks | Nov 15, 2009 10:59:46 AM
She can only guarantee a second term for Obama.
Posted by: CWinslowe | Nov 15, 2009 11:01:29 AM
yup, because everyone knows that excitement trumps understanding of the issues every time...was he not paying attention when palin's insertion of her opinion in the 23rd district race cost republicans a seat that they had held for over 100 years?

"I am still wheeling about that fact that I just got done watching what I thought was an extensive program on Sunday morning." Mr.Stephanopoulous, you should be ashamed that your show this morning delt with Afganistan, rather than dealing with "its the economy! Signed used up...

Palin was a popular Gov of Alaska.. She is well spoken and presents her points clearly... Guliani is a thoughtful person that is very passionate about NY and loves his country...
All you liberals, try arguing points on issues and not attacking the individual... If you can't contribute to the discussion to move the country forward.... With all due respect, close your trap.. You are not helping this country... You are only hurting it!!!

I'm hoping by his party he means his holiday party. Palin is a quitter and grossly unqualified to be anything other than being in the backwoods of Alaska. I'm hoping the republicans' will continue to have her as their poster child. Yet another failure for them...

I totally agree with Giuliani. The GOP does need excitement.
Sarah Palin is providing us with another installment of a badly-written soap opera, providing new chatter for all the gossips on the entertainment networks. And what can we make of the title of her book, Going Rogue???? A rogue is, by definition, a crook, a con-artist, a fraud, a charlatan. Our "excitement" is really a sort of trashy guessing game about when Palin is lying and when, if ever, she is telling the truth.
As we are witnessing this latest episode of one of the trashiest soap operas in history, Obama is conferring with leaders on the Pacific Rim as well as Medvedev about a wide range of important issues. No - it's naïve to believe that we will solve all our problems in one week, but at least it is a start. Obama as demonstrated compassion, concern, and statesman ship. His demeanor makes me feel proud of my country.
So in short, Palin does provide the GOP with excitement. Who wouldn't want to miss the latest episode of "As the Stomach Churns"? (Title courtesy of Carol Burnett.) She also represents America at its worst. Obama, on the other hand represents America at its best.
Perhaps Rudy is getting senile????

Remembering Palin during the presidential campaign, she stoked the fires of hate at McCain/Palin rallies. That is NOT exciting, but downright dangerous. GO AWAY, SARAH AND RUDY TOO!
Posted by: Mary MacElveen | Nov 15, 2009 11:53:04 AM
An exciting figure is not going to be enough, Rudy. That's what got you in trouble once before.

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE SARAH PHLIN AS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY PRESDENT. SHE WILL DO A LOT BETTER THEN BARACK OBAMA HAS. I THINK THE FIRST PARTY THAT PICK A WOMAN WILL SHOW THAT WOMEN HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS AS MEN. SARAH FORIGAN PLOTICE PLAIN REMAND ME OF RAGAIN YEARS. OTHEIR THEN THAT NO. I THINK SEE WILL DO MORE FOR DISABLE KIDS AN REMOVE US FROM FORGAIN OIL THEN OBAMA HAS. AN HAVE A BETTER ECOMY RECOVERY THEN OBAMA. SHE HAS SAID SHE WOULD NOT GIVE TO COMPANYS THAT WILL GO BANKRUP. HOW MUCH HAS OBAMA LOST OF OR TAX MONEY SO FAR?
Posted by: mark | Nov 15, 2009 1:55:17 PM
Maybe Republicans need less excitement and more common sense. (Rudy's hardly the man they need to represent them at any rate.) I belong to neither party, but as long as the GOP kowtows to the rabid right by putting candidates of Palin's caliber in national races, I'll vote with the Democrats.

"Rudy on Palin: My Party Needs That Kind of Excitement"
Doesn't say much for his Party, does it? Bloody pitiful. She's a nobody. Not even a governor any more - she's a quitter - "too much hard work", just someone who claims she wrote a book sitting at her kitchen table. With her non-existent knowledge or intelligence, I doubt she could come up with a meaningful shopping list.

Anyone but Obama 2012
Posted by: EmbarressedAmerican | Nov 16, 2009 12:47:51 AM
You've got to be kidding me. Not only could this woman not fulfill one term as governor, A/P has already published a list of factual errors in her new book. Why is she given any press time? The only thing I can think of, is that she amuses people. A trained monkey can do the same, but I'm not going to vote for one.

“Palin was a popular Gov of Alaska..”
WAS is the key word. Palin’s favorability ratings currently range from 27% to 40%. All but one of the recent polls show 50% or more rating her unfavorably.
“She is well spoken and presents her points clearly...”
You’re joking, right? “Palinese” became a term for speaking in run-on gibberish for good reason. Don’t you remember the infamous SNL comedy sketch with Tina Fey’s dialog consisting mainly of Palin’s own words? And let’s not forget her heinous (HEE-nee-us) mispronunciations and repeated grammar gaffes (we must progress this nation).
I leave you with a quote from Sarah Palin, Alaska’s so-called energy expert.
“Oil and coal, of course, it's - it's a fungible commodity and they don't flag, you know, the molecules where - where it's going and where it's not, but in the - in the sense of the congress today they know that they are very, very hungry domestic markets that need that oil first so I believe that what Congress is gonna do also is not to allow the export bans to such a degree that it's Americans who get stuck holding the bag without the energy source that is produced here, pumped here - it's gotta flow into our domestic markets first.”

Memo to Rudy....excitement won't win the election. A good candidate will.
Posted by: Rick McDaniel | Nov 16, 2009 12:52:52 PM
I don't remember the Sunday in November, 2005 that the LIBERAL George S. grilled Democratic guests concerning John Edwards and if he would run in 2008 and if so would you support him and do you know what percentage in the party think he is divisive and do you think he is smart enough and is he experienced enough............Turns out he should have but it never happened. It is blatantly obvious that Palin scares poor George to death, he questioned Guliani like a hostage with a gun held to his head.

Responding to the first post by Rickywahoo - Mayor Giuliani DID give orders to evacuate the Towers. Remember? Remember how the emergency workers went into the Towers to assist evacuation - thereby losing their lives in the line of duty? As for the $10 million offered by the Saudi Sheik - the Twin Towers Fund raised well over $100 million in donations from truly concerned people which resulted in major support to the families of rescue workers lost in the Towers. The sheik wanted to use his "gift" to ridicule the US. We did just fine without it.

Our country is going down the toilet with the Marxist Messiah so Sarah Palin couldn't possibly do any worse. Go Girl! You need to kick this corrupt bunch of Chicago Thugs down Pennsylvania Avenue in 2012. They are destroying the United States of America and taking great delight in doing so. It's disgusting. Where is the FBI and why are they not investigating the corrupt activities of the SEIU and their close association to this "president?" What a travesty!
