John McCain, According to His Colleagues
September 02, 2008 5:18 PM
The meaty portion of the Republican National Convention gets off to a delayed start Tuesday evening -- with a theme of "service."
Two senators are being called on to tell the John McCain story -- former Sen. Fred Thompson, R-Tenn. (who qualifies as a bona fide celebrity in St. Paul, given that most Hollywood types are Democrats), and Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn. (who qualifies as a bona fide celebrity Democrat, given that most of all types in St. Paul are registered Republicans).
It may seem odd to have this candidate running as an outsider have his praises sung by a pair of insiders -- plus President Bush, who appears a day late, and via satellite from the White House.
We’re being told to expect a ramp-up to the harsh stuff: after yesterday’s call to service in the cause of hurricane relief, it may take some time for the red meat to be served. But here’s guessing we’ll get it before the convention is over.

Now, the truth is starting to come out about the reckless, cavalier, and dangerous decision made by McSame to place Sarah (knock 'em up) Palin on the ticket. If this is the type of decision making to be expected of McSame in the White House, then he is a very dangerous man indeed to even be considered for the presidency. Hopefully, the American people (this doesn't include mentally deranged social conservatives) will wake up and smell the coffee before it's too late. Obama/Biden 08!!!

Someday Obama may be fit to shine McCain's shoes, but for now he's just a junior senator with a gift for the gab.
Light years away from being ready to be President. Light years.
Congrats McCain. You'll be a fine president.

Yeah, McCain for Prez:
"He's senile. He's old. He swears a lot. He likes people who tortured him. He doesn't know what he's doing".

So, with all the hoopla with Sarah Palin, if she rises above all the scrutiny what happens in Alaska expecially with the Republican’s battle with Stevens and the ‘other’ guy she has supposedly been calling to the turf? Does getting her out of Alaska help or hinder the ‘clean up of dirty politics’ OR if Sarah Palin doesn’t survive or McCain loses, what happen’s to Palin if she returns to Alaska and attempts to continue her clean-up with a possible difficult image issue to clean up?
What happens to Senator Stevens with Sarah Palin as VP or if she returns to her duties as Governor? He is considered one of the most influential Senators. . .

I WOULD LIKE TO TELL THE MCCAIN STORY----lets start with ,how does someone with a d average and a very low iq get into the naval air acadamy----follow his history from there and you will understand what the results were---five aircraft wrecked to start with-----check for yourselves what happened on the forestal--and ask why mccain was removed from the ship--and keep going on ---

when tompson states that mccain was pow--i wonder if he will tell us about the propaganda broadcasts he was making against the united states.-iwould guess not --tell a few lies.i dont call that a maverick--as many thought he should be tried for treason----

If Sarah Palin had been a mayor in a town in a different state she would have made news with all the abuse of power things she tried to do...fired the police chief because he was big and intimidated her, tried to fire the librarian because she wouldn't ban books for Sarah, fired town council members because they didn't agree with her stance on abortion. The things she did and continues to do (under investigation for trying to fire the safety commissioner for not firing her ex-brother-in-law) are unconscienable. She is truly a scary and arrogant person.

The only red meat I want to see at this convention is Ms. Palin's announcement that she's dropping out to spend more time with her family. They clearly need her more than we do.

I hope the liberals will stop breaking the law by abusing Palin's daughter. She is under age and protected by law. The very same law the liberals seem to disregard.Truth is not relevant to liberals. They will hurt a minor to protect Obama. Even when Obama tells them to back off. If he can't get his followers to stop breaking the law ,what kind of president cannot control his people?

Um, George, it was not the "liberals" that made Palin's Daughter's pregnancy an issue, it was the McCain campaign itself.

And let's not forget that one of the things Palin vetoed was funding for a religious charity that provides room, support, and job training for unwed mothers. Add that to McCain's resume of steering the Air Force into basically giving the new Tanker Contract to Airbus, taking the majority of jobs out of the U.S., and I'd say, as a Republican that I believe everything they both say...
