John Berman has been at ABC since 1995, and allowed to appear on television since 2001. He covered the 2008 campaign extensively, following John McCain and Mitt Romney during the primaries and then Barack Obama in the general election. He also spent more than 20 months chasing George W. Bush around the country as a producer from 1999 until 2001, earning the clever nickname, "Pain in the Ass," from our 43rd president. He is a frequent and sometimes welcome contributor to all of ABC's broadcasts.

Take THAT, Mr. President
September 03, 2008 11:30 PM
Our political director David Chalian, points out that the word "nuclear" is spelled out in easier-to-pronounce form in the advance text distributed by the McCain campaign.
As in: "Terrorist states are seeking new-clear weapons without delay ... he wants to meet them without preconditions."

Exactly! She sounds just like George Bush! (mean-spirited and ignorant) I really, really wanted to be impressed... I'd love to have a woman in the White House--just not this woman.

Republi-CONS : Campaign ugly. And govern even UGLIER!
That is why America is in a big mess -- lack of INTELLIGENCE in leadership!
Americans are awake this election cycle.
And McCaint-bush who destroyed America are in for a rude awakening! lol
Intelligence x Time on task = Effective Experience that leads to good judgment!
Obama has Intelligence and good judgment.
McCaint has bad judgment; because he's 90% bush disaster!

I bet the members of the DNC along with Obama and Axelrod were sitting in front of their tvs gnashing their teeth.
Michelle's hair is probably standing straight up on the top of her head.
Howard Wolfson said she stuck the knife into him with a smile.
How much you want to bet the seat of Obama's pants are ragged from all the holes Palin and Guiliani chewed in his butt? :D
The Bots are now calling the whole Palin family names.
Hmmmm - what they heard must have got to them, you know the truth can hurt. The sad thing (for them) is that there will be instant replays of this all week on the news.
Somewhere, Hillary is laughing...
Obama got played by the beauty queen.
LMAO!!! :D

Still waiting for sarah to address PLANS FOR the ECONOMY AND HEALTHCARE .NOTHING BUT FLUFF BUT WHAT ELSE WERE YOU EXPECTING.
the Republicans did say ISSUES dont matter to the American people.. Oh really!! So why are they voting.
BTW .. she still would like to know what a VP does.

Palin needed the extra help. She pronounced 'nuclear' wrong during her big speech at Dayton, Ohio.
Continuing in the grand tradition of BUSH, of course!
More of the same.
Can we PLEASE elect a President/Vice President who can pronounce SIMPLE words like 'nuclear' - words that are pronounced EXACTLY the way they are spelt?! I mean, geez. NU-CLEAR. It's not rocket science. How dumb do you have to be to pronounce it wrong?
Posted by: Gee Whizz | Sep 3, 2008 11:53:19 PM
What is up with the PUMA's?
She is being coddled, what if she needs to be the VP who will coddle her then Karl Rove and his croonies come on women don't be bitter use your head and not your hormones!
Posted by: Collette | Sep 3, 2008 11:53:54 PM
The news media have lost their minds (and their ethics). CBS even has a story about the boyfriend being a redneck and what was on his MySpace page. I guess families are not off limits. As usual, they're doing Obama's dirty work for him.
People pronounce words differently. Why don't they ever poke fun at people like Maxine Waters who can't say 'ask' properly. I'm pretty sure it's not 'axe'.

I meant to say what if she needs to be President...and VP on her own for that matter!
Posted by: Collette | Sep 3, 2008 11:55:22 PM
Obama,
Sarah Palin chewed you up good tonight!!
Posted by: Jan | Sep 3, 2008 11:56:23 PM
I am an independent and I was actually thinking about McCain but after his pick for the "election and not for governing" FUGGEDA BOUD IT!
Posted by: Collette | Sep 3, 2008 11:56:41 PM
The PUMAs are critical thinkers, not lemmings. We are the owners of our votes and we will cast them as we see fit. For most of us, that means anyone BUT Obama.
BTW, hormones don't have a thing to do with it.

Just great Palin the RNC Barbie Doll, you just pull the string in the back and she repeats what the RNC whispers into her recorder!
Posted by: Collette | Sep 3, 2008 11:59:35 PM
Ok, lemmie get this straight if a PUMA is not a lemming, then why are they all jumping of one ship to another?
Posted by: Collette | Sep 4, 2008 12:01:06 AM
And your line "In liu of Senator HRC" I mean that sounds a little "BITTER" don't you think?
Posted by: Collette | Sep 4, 2008 12:02:34 AM
There were some pretty shameful, belittling moments tonight with some cheap attacks and a few outright lies. I learned nothing about policy. Instead, all I heard was why the other guy is wrong and how being a community organizer is funny. Yeah, it's hilarious when someone works 80-hr weeks making next to nothing trying to help the most vulnerable people help themselves. When people were dying from asbestos and lead poisoning and Obama helped by getting Chicago admit to knowing about the problem and then fixing it, that was hilarious! I think like, 100 people died! Oh my God, my sides are splitting it's so funny. People were literally told to leave bodies on the side of the road if they couldn't afford to drive them to the morgue. Hilarious! Oh my lord Rudy--you are hilarious! Helping save lives is obviously not nearly as much responsibility as organizing bakesales in Alaska.

The PUMAs are 30 percent emotional train wrecks and 70 percent Republican operatives.
Posted by: jeffk | Sep 4, 2008 12:03:05 AM
Come on get over it! Right...just think this thing out....
Posted by: Collette | Sep 4, 2008 12:03:47 AM
Bitter? Obama's lemmings will soon drown with him.
We were Hillary Supporters, not Obama Supporters. Obama being "selected" as the nom did not make him any more smarter or qualified. It made sense for us to then support the next best person to Hillary; that would be John Sydney McCain, your next President.
Need a life jacket??

Collette -
Plink! Hear that? It is the sound of the world's smallest violin. :D
Get over it. Hillary Supporters have and have moved on to support someone else - McCain.
After all, Obama doesn't NEED Hillary Supporters votes.
ROFLMAO!

Hello, I NEVER said I was voting for Obama. HHAHAHAA
