Closing Arguments: How Will Bush's Disapproval Ratings Affect McCain's Chances?

June 16, 2008 11:18 PM

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll highlights a discouraging situation for President Bush and possibly for the Republican party. According to the new figures, George W. Bush's disapproval ratings have reached a record for any president since 1938. 68% of Americans disapprove of the job he is doing. That tops Truman's 67% and Nixon's 66%. How do you think President Bush's disapproval ratings will affect John McCain's chances in November's general election?

MSM polls are meaningless (and so bias it isn't even funny). The Media use them to try and "push" the public into thinking this way or that way - Reality is history will be very kind to President GWB - Just as the REAL polls were to him in 2000 and 2004 (when he recieved more votes than any President in history!).

Posted by: Tyler P | Jun 16, 2008 11:45:37 PM

Bush has done a good job. The MSM has led the uneducated gullible masses into thinking Bush has done a bad job. Since the the leftist MSM is for Obama, it an easy leap to believe McCain will suffer the biased views of the media.

If America has learned anything over the past 8 years, Republicans everywhere should go down to the decisive defeat they so richly deserve. They have essentially become a criminal cabal, and McCain has been just another rubber stamp for these outlaws. Enough is enough. It will take years to dig ourselves out of the mess left by Bush, Cheney, McCain and the rest these thugs.

Posted by: Richard | Jun 16, 2008 11:58:42 PM

Worst president in American history! He should have been impeached long ago. We may never recover from his reign.

Posted by: Jack | Jun 17, 2008 12:09:32 AM

Bush's UnPopularity did not hurt him in 2004 and he was re-elected. I will not be surprised if McCain is elected.

Posted by: Robert Ileri | Jun 17, 2008 12:11:17 AM

If America has learned anything in the last 8 years, it is that, we are Americans, MUST ELECT BARACK OBAMA! John McCain is nothing more than an extension of George Bush's cocky attitude that he knows whats best for America -- and if he thinks his "I am an American Veteran role" is what we need --- grow up... because we will not accept that as a winning argument. If most Americans know what is good for them, as I do believe, we will elect Barack Obama our next Commander-in-Chief. Godspeed

Posted by: Rick | Jun 17, 2008 12:11:49 AM

The Republicans themselves don't even expect to win the White House this election cycle. They really want the Democrats to take over and clean up their mess while they go off and enjoy spending the billions they have amassed over the past eight years.

Posted by: Jimmy | Jun 17, 2008 12:15:15 AM

It's time for people to wake up. I'm just glad I did'nt have anything to do with the current administration I would be so mad at myself. My judgement was correct! I would hope that people see what is truly going on and adjust accordingly!

mccain is bushs cloan. and we dont need another 4 years of hell.It used to be other countries envied americans but now we are not respected and americans are envious to some of the other countries.

Posted by: elizabeth | Jun 17, 2008 12:17:36 AM

I agree with Tyler that the news is biased, but the ballots in Florida were so flawed that we will never know who really won. The ballots were so hard to read that those who voted didn't know who they were voting for.
Spugee- Can you really look at this country and say G.W. is doing a good job? Really? Have you looked at the economy? We are so far into recession that we are heading for another Depression and if economically things keep going the way they are then we will be in one very very soon.
Now, Because of this I feel that McCain has a very poor chance of becoming the next President. Unfortunately McCain has stated that he will continue along the same lines politically as G.W. This is going to send 68% of the votes toward the Dems.

Posted by: Jeff | Jun 17, 2008 12:18:11 AM

President Bush has been a good president despite of all of the unexpected events he has had to deal with like 9/11, and Cathrina and Rita disasters. He has kept the country from being attacked by terrorist, and has brought respect to the White House after the shameless Clinton Administration. The news media expects us to believe their polls, but only time will tell how good he was for our country. You all in the news media should be ashamed of yourselfs for feeding the public lies about his administration. At least he hasn't been a disgrace to the country like his predecessor was; scandal, after scandal culminating in impeachment. Why don't you compare their terms and see the differences between the two, and when you finish report it to the world. Give him a fare chance, and expect only dems to agree with your polls. He is a man of honor and integrity and wants what's best for our country.

Posted by: DLidstone | Jun 17, 2008 12:21:06 AM

Bushes record:
1.No terror attack since 9/11.
2.Removed dictator and gave 23 million Iraqi citizens the right to go to school and live free.
3. Did his best in a very tough job.
The liberal dems and the media elites have got it wrong. Obama will not win. McCain's experience trumps Obama's oratory.

Posted by: Steve | Jun 17, 2008 12:21:10 AM

The last 8 years have been remarkable in showing the lack of integrity of the admistration . I am not totally sure of the integrity of the democrratic contenter but the blind following of the rebublican senate and congress members will force will force a lot of people to seek a change. Enough is enough on the deceptive and abornal actions of this regime. What choice do we have other than to vote as many of them out and put more attention on the actions of who we install in the future. It is too bd that we do not have a say in getting rid of Bernanke, there are too many cloned yes men and women.

Posted by: John | Jun 17, 2008 12:21:10 AM

McCain is not Bush, plain & simple:
----------------------------
McCain was a POW in North Vietnam for 6+ years.
vs.

Bush occasionally showed up for Texas Air National Guard duty -- in Texas.
-----------------------

Bush II was following the legacy of Bush I and REGARDLESS of the credibility of Bush I, many Americans feel bushwhacked by Bush II.

v.

While Bush II's popularity is now at an all time low, McCain's is at an all time high and Obama's comment about the Supreme Court today, shows that hes NO Kennedy. A mixed blessing.
------------------------

BOTTOM LINE
In the eyes of a beginner, the possibilities are endless, whereas,
In the mind of the expert, they are few.

McCain is clearly the EXPERIENCED EXPERT, whereas,

Obama is a great person, but lacks McCain's expertise. The 'Dream Ticket' of Obama-Clinton is going nowhere, because it can't go anywhere. There cannot be 2 Presidents in the White House at the same time and Clinton is no Cheney.

----------------------

THE REAL DREAM TICKET is McCain-Obama, which simply isn't happening due to different party affiliations.

Posted by: brucerealtor | Jun 17, 2008 12:23:34 AM

steve: agree completely. ignoring the 3000 deaths on 9/11, the 4000 deaths in Iraq, the 25000 maimed in Iraq, and the 100,000 iraqi civilians killed, bush is doing a great job.

Posted by: 1percenter | Jun 17, 2008 12:23:44 AM

First of all, polls are just that, not necessarily fact, and secondly, there are enough people concerned about the future of this nation to stand behind McCain and elect him as the next President. A sign of maturity is to give up immediate rewards for long-term benefits. Those who believe the government can pay for everything need to learn this lesson. Where do they think the government gets its money?

Posted by: Jean | Jun 17, 2008 12:25:44 AM

jean: china?

Posted by: 1percenter | Jun 17, 2008 12:27:06 AM

John McCain is not George Bush. Let's not forget the service McCain gave to our country. Do not forget the fact he was a POW. Please think of his service then and on our behalf in D.C. John McCain is a public servant who each of us should seriously support and give our vote in November. Remember, McCain is NOT spelled B-U-S-H.

Posted by: Gwen | Jun 17, 2008 12:27:45 AM

Ok, DLidstone. Give me a break. Bill Clinton may have had some personal issues that he and his wife needed to deal with, but to blatantly lie, cheat, steal and KILL AMERICANS (IRAQ)---HE DID NOT DO, but GEORGE BUSH HAS DONE! Do not blame that on the media or American citizens... you are brain washed and it is ridiculious that you can not see the truth--- grow up or you will never have any civil liberties because you are so stupid to see the light! This man is on borderline of testing the integrity of every major event this country has every had to answer. QUESTION EVERYTHING OUR LEADERS DO---NO MATTER IF YOU VOTED FOR THEM OR NOT---IT IS THE ONLY WAY WE CAN GUARANTEE WE ARE SAFE!

Posted by: Rick | Jun 17, 2008 12:28:18 AM

What does one have to do with the other? Last I checked, they were two separate people. Just because they are of the same party does not mean they share a brain. I hate the way the media sometimes "dumbs down" the people. I am surprised by the stupidity of the question, but I will be more horrified if Bush's disapproval rating actually affects McCain's chances. We need to learn to make educated decisions as voters, not band wagon decisions because someone famous tells us something. One thing I know for sure, is that I have much more faith in someone who fought for his country, than someone who won't pledge his own flag! Just think about it.

Posted by: Kim | Jun 17, 2008 12:29:12 AM

how could anyone elect someone that is lacking in experience? When going into a job, I think experience should be the one aspect voter should look for in each person. working in the chicago projects does not qualify someone to lead this country. By the way, Obama won his Senate seat by default. Check it out

Posted by: Fran | Jun 17, 2008 12:32:14 AM

fran: i agree completely, he certainly does not meet the constitutional requirements for being president.

Posted by: 1percenter | Jun 17, 2008 12:34:40 AM

1percenter! default... so what? some of the best things in life happen that way and looking at the history things, that may be JUST WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS---SOMEONE THAT IS NOT THE IMPERIAL CHOICE...

Posted by: Rick | Jun 17, 2008 12:35:53 AM

Bushes record:

1. No terror attack - They are all in Iraq killing our troops.
2. Removed a Dictator - Yes, but he had to invade a country without a coalition, and with bad intelligence, and now it's breaking the financial back of this country.
3. Did his best. - That's his best? I mean really now. Seriously?

His best was to smear America in the eyes of the world?

Now McCain isn't Bush, but We don't need another administration that will follow the policies of
the administration that is driving this country into the ground. We don't need another administration that will
ignore the well being of the U.S. citizen.

The average citizen see's what is going on in the country now and will blame not only the candidate but the party as well.

Then again everyone turned against Bill for his infidelity.......look where that got the country.

Bush has been a disappointment and I voted for him proudly twice. He abandoned conservatizm in an effort to win over liberals like Edward Kennedy. That was a mistake born out of trying to please too many people. His father made the same mistake when he pulled back from Iraq but "W" did not learn.

He still is a better president than Al Gore or John Kerry would ever have been.
Obama wants Gore to help him put together his environmental program. He sshould start by not flying his large jet around the world burning fuel and poluting the air. He shouls also demolish his large home and live in a much smaller one so as not to waste energy. Think of all the trees destroyed for Gore's house. What a hippocrit!

McCain in my opinion is the lesser of 2 evils. I will vote for him out of sheer disgust that the choice is between one flaming liberal and another just smoldering.

Politicians like George W. Bush are to my opinion on the same category as A. Hitler, for them no cause is to big than the one they believe in, even when he knew that the whole Irak war was a lie, he still went in. I like Mccain but I cannot overlook the Irak war especially when he's convinced that it's a must win for us. Over 4000 US soldiers killed, there will be no win unless Mccain brings them back from the dead.

Posted by: Thomas T | Jun 17, 2008 12:40:00 AM

The actions of this administration have been observed by all of our citizens. Now the majority are saying, "We have had enough". Enough of stealing elections, enough of buying elections, enough of lying to us in order to lead us into a purposeless war, enough of the arrogance that ignores global warming that is recognized by the rest of the world including a commission appointed by this administration. How can anyone vote for anyone that has supported the evil ones in this administration. Remember; the majority that existed for most of the last 8 years, SUPPORTED "TAX CUTS FOR THE WEALTHY AND THE CORPORATIONS"; SUPPORTED "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND" SUPPORTED "INCREASED FUNDING OF A WAR TO SATISFY THE PERSONAL GRUDGE OF A PRESIDENT WHO MISSLEADS RATHER THAN LEADS." The whirlwind is approaching. Prepare to REAP.

I've been Independent for over 20 years and have voted both parties, because I voted for whom I thought was better for my state or my country; but, my decision was based on INFORMATION. Now, there is no information! If we are to be honest (now, come on, HONEST), we are given only information that is meant to shape our opinion of individuals. Rhetoric. Slogans. If you tell people over and over that a doorknob is actually a banana, eventually most people will agree it's a banana. For just a moment, forget whether your are a Republican or a Democrat. I already know I don't agree with everything Sen. McCain states; however, I know absolutely nothing (and I mean nothing) as to how Sen. Obama may affect my life and my children's lives. Just like eventually believing the doorknob is a banana, Republicans and Democrats have been manipulated into becoming such enemies they no longer question their candidate. Let's stop and start being OURSELVES, become informed with real facts, and vote for a person (not a party).

Posted by: donna | Jun 17, 2008 12:43:57 AM

George Bush has done a great job. The public needs not to pay attention to the media. The media is all about money and that is all. Media also is good about brain washing and putting bad things in our minds which are not true.

I believe in John McCain. I believe he has the experience to keep our country together. Democrats have no experiences and they rather sell us off for our hard work.

Obama may be a good speaker but he is only an actor. The world needs to see that. What experience does he have to lead a country. How is that for the rest of the world? Other jobs for us you need so much experience how is that so great. His mouth is terrible you cannot believe everything that Obama says I would like to have some words with him. I remember meeting someone like that. He ripped off a whole bunch of people that worked for him. He also lied that he was a male nurse. He also lacked with his experience so bad that he posted my picture on his office wall making it look like he knew what he was doing in the industry he was working for. Ulimately Obama is all talk and God knows that.

Posted by: Julie | Jun 17, 2008 12:46:20 AM

donna: okay, you're a banana, i get it. i'm going to be a little harsh here and exagerate but here is your argument: 'At least I know where the devil stands on things. And although I don't agree with him, I'm going to vote for him rather than taking a chance that there is someone less evil.' Seems that you made up your mind and worked backwards.

Posted by: 1percenter | Jun 17, 2008 12:49:14 AM

donna,
I couldn't agree more. I also am independent, but tend to be more conservative than most of the "liberal hollywood" democrats we've had to choose from lately. I have children and want them to have the old fashioned values I have. Person not party is the way to go!

Posted by: Kim | Jun 17, 2008 12:49:15 AM

The only place that George Bush should go is to prison. This man has done what ever our constitution says not to do. Anyone that thinks that George Bush has been good for our country should go to prison with him as a conspiritor to destroy our nation. The only way I could think you would like this criminal is that you sell oil.

Posted by: Julmard | Jun 17, 2008 12:51:57 AM

The only people continuing to support the Bush administration are suffering from cognitive dissonance with respect to their voting history. Clearly, many, many voters with the same history have acknowledged their misplaced trust.

Posted by: Terry | Jun 17, 2008 12:53:04 AM

kim: 'person not party' won't get mccain the college kids like you are trying - they want more parties.

Posted by: 1percenter | Jun 17, 2008 12:54:14 AM

If the mass media machine were not so biased, so crooked, so slimey, they would tell the truth, not a tiny part of the truth. FRAMING the news to suit your biases is lying to the American people, and that is why the media is so hated by all these days. I wonder if the approval ratings of the media is lower than Congress?

Each time YOU, the media, announces with authority that the approval ratings of the president are the lowest since whenever, why don't YOU, the media, also tell the truth and announce that the approval ratings of both houses of Congress is even lower, (where both new presidential candidates have jobs right now)! Congress has a bottom dwelling record level of lowness in approval rating; lower than the president, lower than ever in recorded history, I believe, and maybe even lower than the mass media.

To hell with experience! There has been leaders that have come before us having no experience, but did great things. Just think of the condition of our country lead by the so called experienced. Every now an then we get a person that has a natural gift, and that person is Obama. I think that some people just repeat the political language of there hopefuls. Judgement is the key, because rules of engagement changes, and the experienced ones will never learn the computer.

Posted by: Julmard | Jun 17, 2008 1:09:01 AM

There is a very interesting website, Factcecker.com, that does not politically slant either way. If either McCain or Obama exaggerated or misled, the website clears up the issue for you with actual facts and truths. To date, it hasn't answered all MY questions as to where each candidate stands on important topics for our future (taxes, outsourcing, illegal immigration vs legal immigration, school curriculum, church vs state, NAFTA, etc), but it's a start. Do YOU know where each candidate TRUTHFULLY stands on these issues? Not the pandering. Please find out before you vote. DON'T let the words Republican or Democrat decide how you vote. Make a list of pros and cons and then vote for the person who most closely represents what you believe.

To sum it up...

The President may have a low approval rating but all Senators have a lower approval rating. To say we want CHANGE from this administration, by electing Obama, is saying that the change you chose will be WORSE than what we have now.

When the mass media says that 70% or 80% of Americans think we are on the wrong track, just look at what we get to choose from: Low or LOWER, so why would ANYONE see anything good about our choices in direction? Duh!

I think George Bush has been a great president and if I dread the direction that liberals want to take this country in, and YOU hate the direction Bush has tried to take this country, then shouldn't 100% of this country see it going in the wrong direction? Well, 20% are foreigners who LOVE being here and don't really HATE the leaders of the country, so 80% is about right, isn't it? So, WHY does the unintelligent media reporters keep FRAMING this same 'wrong direction' slant into their brainwashing for the sheep? Because they are the lowest of the low. Haters, bottom feeders, spreading dissent and hatred for America wheneven they can! That is the MEDIA. Wake up people! You are being played for the fools you are being, by believing the lies the media feeds you.

Any American that trusts the media or depends on the media to think for them, is not very intelligent.

Posted by: Justice | Jun 17, 2008 1:14:18 AM

How can anyone defend an admn. that lied to the American people and soldiers
have lost their lives based on untruths.
No-one from Iraq was involved in 9-11; IIraq did not have WMD;Saddam did not have a relationship w/Osama Bin Laden, who just might be in hiding in Saudi AArabia (vast majority of the 9-11 high jackers came from Saudi and was sponsored with funds traced to Saudi Arabia.)Saudi Arabia protected and kept hidden one of the most despicable men to ever walk the Earth, Idi Ahmen, and if they could lend refuge to this animal I wouldn't put it pass them to do the same for Osama Bin Laden. Osama is not in the hills of Pakistan or Afghanistan because he requires medical attention that could not be administered in some remote village or mountaineous region. Our economy is in shambles while millions if not billions of taxpayer's dollars have been outright stolen in Iraq by Chenney's cronies Haliburton. Some has spoken of Bill Clinton's immoral behavior in the White House. I agree his behavior was despicable, but there were no innocent lives lost, mortgage melt-down,loss of international respect, scaring the citizenry with the stupid use of "yellow, red, or green" alerts and how to use duct tape in the event of a nuclear attack. Oh, and by the way, during George's first Inaugural address he emphatic stated he would not get involved with nation building and what do we do invaded a sovereign country based on lies. If the Iraq's wanted to free themselves of Sadamm they should have taken action to do so. There are many other countries such as Saudi Arabia who have dictators. Are we to go in and invade them too. Then again, we would have been better off invading Saudi Arabia and taking their oil-fields because it appears as though along with the other OPEC countries are trying to bankrupt this country and afterwards come in and buy up the sscraps for cheap.

Posted by: donna | Jun 17, 2008 1:26:02 AM

I believe that McCain simply doesn't have sufficient "connections" or organization to wage a viable campaign. He will be forced to accept the same sponsors and controllers that have dominated the Republican party since brought to Washington by Ronald Reagan - Wall Street pirates and paper merchants, the Military-Industrial complex, drug manufacturers, and the Saudia Royal Family. It isn't Bush's deserved lack of confidence that will hurt McCain's campaign, it is the fact that he will be forced to adopt a platform and policies that have proved themselves to be disasterous to the nation and failed in their claimed purposes. There are tens of thousands of honored vetrans and public servants in our nation, but such is not sufficient credentials to hold the office of President of the U.S.

I've observed the American political process carefully for more than 50 years and can't recall there ever being two less qualified candidates for the office, except for the year 2000.

Posted by: JOHN | Jun 17, 2008 1:31:00 AM

George Bush is a dirty dog. I hope that we place this treason scum bag in prison. If you support George Bush, or John McCain after what you have seen, you are a dirty dog too!

Posted by: Julmard | Jun 17, 2008 1:32:08 AM

Bush's approval rating will only hurt McCain if he lets it. McCain must use his years of experience, the knowledge he gathers from those around him and make good decisions for this country. He must remember being President is not for the wealthy or the poor or even the Republican party by themselves. He must represent all people, all levels, all parties, all races, etc. He does not have to go down with the Bush ship. The choice is his to make. Then we as voters must do our part and do our homework and vote for our Country in Nov. not just a party. Then if we as voters ALLOW them to do wrong, it is our falt. We must hold them accountable for their actions. So far, Bush has not been held accountable. Maybe we need to do as companies do, take the job, the pay check and his pension. He has already spent it.

Posted by: Pati | Jun 17, 2008 1:40:34 AM

We have not been attacked by terrorists within our borders? What are all those soldiers killed and maimed in Iraq? None of them are relatives, yet, but each death or story of an injured soldiers strikes terror in this house. What has the price of gasoline done to the price of everything else we buy? We cringe at what all this cost inflation has done to families in this country. What is the standoff in Congress? The Republicans don't care about the poor, those that don't have medical insurance, the unemployed, the environment. They are terrorizing this country by following Bush down his rat hole. Basta!

Posted by: Elodia Resez | Jun 17, 2008 1:53:12 AM

Pati, you are an admirable idealist, and I wish, as you obviously do, that we could "hold them accountable". Unfortunately, we cannot do that as the system of two-parties, controlled by the same forces and dependent on the same sources of money and media approval, simply make "accountability" impossible. Perhaps, if we changed our system to require a new elections whenever the approval of any elected
official fell below a certain level, the populace could regain control of the governments .... But, don't count on this happening until a horrendous crisis brings a demand for "change". Now, consider if the definitions of "change" and "revolution" are the same?

Bush is a good man. I believe he is doing as good a job as anyone in his position given the state of things.

Posted by: donna | Jun 17, 2008 3:18:58 AM

Bush is possibly the worst President in the history of the USA.

Not only have his appointments and policies proved to be disastrous, but he has single handedly thrown the wealth of the people of the United States in the the fire of a misguided war.

If this country votes for McCain it will be beyond comprehension. But then GWB was elected so the people of the United States have only themselves to blame as he was the president that was chosen--and accepted despite all the reservations that were ignored.

This may be the most important election since that of Lincoln!

Bush's policies have made the rich richer the past 8 years and I am worse off economically. McCain's desire to continue these wealth disparities would continue the shinking of the numbers of the middle class. McCain's policy of continueing Bush's tax cuts for the rich would only create more McJobs.
Instead of voting for McCain I'll be voting against McCain's & Bush's economic policies!

I think Bush's legacy will negatively affect McCain's chances of winning in November, and rightfully so.

Posted by: Robbie | Jun 17, 2008 3:21:16 AM

Just for the record...the only requirement to run for president of this country is to be 45 years of age and be an American citizen. Nobody had a problem with Hillary and she only has one more year of experience than Obama in the senate. But to the question whether McCain will be affected by the Bush legacy...oh hell yes! The only thing that can get McCain elected is if all the white supremists and angry feminists cross party lines and vote for McBush.

Posted by: Marie N | Jun 17, 2008 3:48:46 AM

I don't see why it should make a difference. McCain is so far to the left he doesn't compare to Bush. But this country better hope he makes it over Obama or this country is in for a really rude awakening. Islam has ways of sneaking into this country as they have proven in the past. He is scary! Say what you like but mark my words!

Posted by: T.D. | Jun 17, 2008 4:07:55 AM

Also, say what you will but we haven't had another atack in this country since 9/11 whith Bush in command! That will likely change if Obama gets in!

Gee, the Republican is already so old and outdated that still so many people do not see their real face after 8 years:
-Tax cuts which benefis the rich the most.
-Health care is about making money and resisting national health care pushing 50 million people out the door to defense themselves with illness.
-Playing games of patriotism to gain support for their sell out policy
-Giving lips service to abortion( which they will never want to overule the policy) so they can draw support from Religious right to drive them to power.
-Playing Gods politics....God is on their side.
-Lying about the WMD in Iraq, so they can control the oil and put a puppet nation to guard the resources but too bad their thinking is too simple and it brings us a disaster outcome. MORE TERRORISTS!!!!!!!
- Narrow family values....using gay and lesbians to draw support from conservatives which they are only human....2 adults want to be together lawfully with love.....what is wrong with more loving people in the world....do they really think your love worth more than their love.
-Corruptions in congress and the house
-Failure in the storm of Katrina
and more and more and more failure...how the earth we think the Republican party deserved the third terms.

Michael,

All this has come to be at the hands of a liberal/democratic Congress in the last few years! They are the ones passing all these bad laws!

Posted by: T.D. | Jun 17, 2008 4:49:02 AM

The only way he got the nomination was to kowtow to the Repiblican conservative wing, the same ones who brought us Bush/Cheney. So he's now stuck with continuing the Bush political agenda that has been wrecking the country for the last eight years.
His winning over the religious faction of the party made them overlook his womanizing and his divorce to marry a glamorous beer heiress, and his generally sinful life, and his attack on Obama's religious community has brought to public notice the endorsememts of some pretty weird preachers of his own. Bad move!
His attempts to win over Democratic Hillary supporters is doomed to failure by his own personal and political record regarding his treatment of women and important women's issues. He was toast before he even started his run!

The 2000 election was rigged (including the use of vote-stealing software at least one man was murdered trying to expose) to install GWB, a frontman for the Project for a New American Century, a group of well-connected neo-fascists whose members assumed controlling positions on the WH and the Pentagon. 9/11 was their "New Pearl Harbor"--a massively successful psyop against the American public. The media memory-holed the anthrax attacks because they were a badly-botched false-flag leading directly back to US bioweapons labs. That crude frame-up of muslims killed five innocents and "put the fear of God" into Congress and ensured passage of the Patriot Act. To this day no one has been indicted for this unprecedented WMD attack against the US government.

Afghanistan and Iraq were long-planned steps in the PNAC blueprint. Iran is their objective. The Orwellian "war on terror" is a fraud, perpetuated by a complicit corporate media.

All else follows from these events, including the "opposition" party's desperate refusal to impeach the most transparently criminal Executive in US history, an Executive that has admitted to ordering torture--a war crime.

Who targeted Rep. Kucinich--the only Congressman with the courage to file Articles of Impeachment against Cheney and Bush--with the UFO smear during the debate? Remember that? NBC is owned by General Electric, one of the largest Pentagon contractors. Do you really believe that GE is "liberal"?

Have the self-respect at least to speak the truth. The "Republic" has been gone for years.

This was just a bad dream. Go back to sleep.

Normally? They wont. There have been excellent Republican presidents and lousy ones. So Bush is no reflection on Mc Cain , good or bad.

According to the CORRUPT MEDIA? Oh, thats a different story.

They will MILK IT AND FORCE BUSH on Mc Cain trying to make it matter as much as possible.

Hey Tyler...I want what you've been smoking.

bush and all of his war-loving cronies should have been impeached, tried, and imprisoned for mass murder years ago. but it's not too late! in fact even after they leave office it's not too late.

Here is another taste of Obama at his best! More taxes as the government takes control of our lives! http://www.gopusa.com/theloft/?p=731

i think he is the worst president in history i think if any precedent was to impish it should be bush. he other people in office knew about 9/11 but did not inform the people and why bush stopped the 9/11 investation. the war in Iraq we went there for no reason Iraq did not have any weapons of mas distraction and in few months we found saddem but we are looking for ben ladden still now we cant find him its been long years. its very hard to find bin ladden when we are not looking for him but yet we found saddem in few months. the war killed so many incaent plople i think bush pay for his mistake.

KAWSAR,

What kind of senseless gibberish was that? Have you ever heard of spell check? You haven't a clue what you're talking about!

If McCain wins this election we need to get our torches and pitchforks and burn Diebold to the ground.

IF McCAIN IS SIMILAR TO BUSH --- THEN OBAMA IS VERY MUCH LIKE CARTER!
