Closing Arguments: The Palin Effect Today

October 31, 2008 12:05 AM

We reported earlier tonight that our recent poll showed Sarah Palin's favorablity rating drop from 59 percent immediately after the Republican National Convention to 46 percent one week ago.

But she continues to electrify on the campaign trail.

So tonight, we ask you: Do you think Sarah Palin has become a drag on the Republican ticket?

Tell us what you think.

All I know is that they have thrown a lot of smokescreen in Obama's direction yet she is still an unknown.

Where are her medical records

She has energized the Republican ticket!!!!!No wonder the Democrats are so against her

yes, not only a drag on the Republican ticket, a drag on the sanity of America with her negative and sarcasticly delivered barbs.

Frankly, Govenor Palin is the reason that John McCain is as close as he is today. She has ignigted the conservative base. Her main nemisis is the news media with questions such as this. She has been far more vetted, as has "Joe the Plumber" than Barak Obama. I would request that the news media do its job and research all of the facts and let the voters make the decision. As it is, we are not being provided with all of the facts from the mainstream media so we have to turn to the internet and other sources to get all of the facts.

I, for one, am appalled that everyone is dumping on McCain and Palin. I will be praying for the outcome of this election and believing for the BEST outcome. Those who have been disillusioned are in for a rude awakening if Obama is elected.

Sarah Palin is a "loose cannon". They
always give her a prepared speech
for good reason. I could not vote
for McCain because she wouldn't
be qualified if something happened to him.

Sarah Palin has NOT become a drag on the Republican ticket. The only thing that has become a drag in this election is the overtly biased media and the fact that there is no longer reporting of the news in a fair and balanced way.

My wife and I think Palin's a joke. For choosing her as his running mate, McCain deserves to lose. We pray to God that Obama wins, or else our country is in big trouble. After the last eight years of sheer hell our country has gone through, how can anyone even think of voting for the Republican ticket?

Palin will be the reason that McCain loses....For the good of the Republican Party, why doesn't she step down???

Posted by: L Singer | Oct 31, 2008 12:15:34 AM

Sarah Palin is the MAIN reason why I am voting for John McCain. I'm sick of the negative remarks the main stream media makes about her and I'm convinced they are doing this because she is a conservative woman who is opposed to abortion. I'd vote for her to be president if she runs. I believe she is qualified, has integrity, and is capable of selecting the right people to work under her. So NO I DO NOT think she has been a drag on the republican ticket! She's a major plus!!

If Palin is not a drag on the ticket, it reflects badly on the electorate. She has such limited experience and knowledge of the world beyond Alaska that she cannot possibly be an effective president. Her appeal is charismatic, without any substance. She is clearly unqualified.

Yes, she has become a drag on the McCain campaign--she's evolved into a joke! There's no substance there! Please get real about this woman (coming from another intelligent, political, caring woman).

Sarah Palin is the most refreshing, honest, and I believe capable person in politics today and it's unfathomable to me that she isn't way ahead in the polls. Could media hype be playing a huge part in this?

Sarah Palin could never be a drag. She is a very informed and a bit of fresh air in politics. Pelosi should be so smart.

Posted by: Gene Richardson | Oct 31, 2008 12:17:10 AM

Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh honesty....NO drag to John McCain..

Posted by: Donna | Oct 31, 2008 12:17:23 AM

No--she has added to the Republican ticket some real interesting facts that someone needed to say. Good for Sarah!

Posted by: Bostick | Oct 31, 2008 12:17:28 AM

I believe she is a huge drag on the ticket. McCain made a mistake picking her for his running mate.

Posted by: Glenn | Oct 31, 2008 12:17:35 AM

Yes, I think that McCain is regretting his choice of Palin. She's had a taste of fame and it's about her now, not him. I don't trust her for a minute.

Posted by: Modern Woman | Oct 31, 2008 12:17:39 AM

I love Palin! She's smart and the Dems are affraid of her.
