Closing Arguments: The Long Bush Goodbye

January 12, 2009 11:49 PM

Nm_last_bush_presser_090112_mnA candid President George W. Bush met the White House press corps today for a final time.

He reflected on a tumultuous eight years in office and looked ahead to life after the presidency.

It was a remarkable moment. He was at times repentant; defiant; even funny.

"I just can't envision myself, you know, the big straw hat and a Hawaiian shirt sitting on some beach," Bush said. "Particularly since I quit drinking."

So tonight, we ask you: How do you think President Bush should spend his time after he leaves office?

Tell us what you think.

Bush should spend the rest of his life apoligizing to the American people an the over 4,000 families of the brave American soldiers that needlessly gave their lives to rid the world of WMD that never exsisted. Oh, an based on their posting...L. Johnson is an idiot. G.W. Bush has already secured his spot as the worst President in the worst President in US history.

Dubya has easily been one of, if not the worst Presidents we've ever had!!

When did he get quit drinking again?

Bush should spend at least a year enjoying the sights and sounds of his Iraq handiwork in person!

He should spend the rest of his short life in a noose after he's hung by a war crimes tribunal for the Geneva Convention violations he's committed in Iraq and Afghanistan!

He should be tried, convicted, and imprisoned for war crimes.

He is a war criminal, an idiot and for all of his supposed religious belief one of the biggest liars ever to be president. Put him in jail with Cheney and the rest of his liars brigade.

George the war criminal Bush should be sentenced to 20 years hard labor, helping to rebuild Iraq. Without Secret Service protection !!

I think Bush and his cohorts should spend whatever life they have left walking the streets of Baghdad and other cities over there, seeing and hearing what they have done, and apologizing to whats left of the families he has destroyed! Not to mention the families here!!!

Bush and Cheney should both be convicted and placed in prison. Cheney for being the brains behind this country's problems, and Bush for being the jackass he was/is. Without the familys money and contacts GW could probably not even run a successful fruitstand. I'll also bet he can't fly an airplane by himself. Bernie

I agree, he should spend years in the slammer. But ultimately I think he’ll opt for spending a lot of time aboard some $250 million yacht overlooking a splendid Mediterranean seascape off the coast of some gorgeous Greek island with Cheney and all their Halliburton cronies. After all due to the Iraq war and the subsequent government reconstruction contracts, Cheney and all of his Halliburton cronies made off with more money than Madoff. Isn’t American a great land?--I thought so!!!

Although far from a great president, Bush should be thanked for preventing any more attacks on this country. Bush hating liberals are blind to reality and the facts. Let's see what freedom of speech these hateful liberals have in 4 years under socialism.

What do you call one who raped its mother's county...again and again? The shrub does it so long that it no longer is capable of distinguishing between a dog and a pig. Just like those animals, it likes to lick its own ass and thinks it smells good.

And while we're waiting for the war crime trials to begin, how about visiting all 4000+ graves of the soldiers whose deaths he's responsible for?? He has more blood on his hands that Osama Bin Laden has!! Will they teach children in other countries about Bush the way we learned about Hitler? Chilling isn't it.....?

Posted by: Kate | Jan 13, 2009 2:38:51 AM

Very simple: He should be spending the rest of his days in prison.

Reality therapy...and restitution to the American public and all those worldwide his administration has damaged. Will we ever recover. Oh, all you Republicans who voted for him not once but TWICE, when pretty much the truth was known about him...dig deep into your wallets. You owe us, bigtime.

I should have guessed that I wouldn't be the only one thinking he should spend his time rotting in jail for his crimes against humanity.

Posted by: Crystal | Jan 13, 2009 3:10:19 AM

"Since I stopped drinkin'" is my favorite line. He is a dry drunk, a coward, a plain old f'in idiot that never should have been allowed to run a Walmart let alone brutally and vividly being allowed to ruin a nation. He needs to be prosecuted for war crimes without a doubt.

Lousy president is lousy.
