February 26, 2009 11:17 PM

Apg_flag_draped_coffin_090226_mnThe Department of Defense has reversed a policy regarding the flag-draped caskets that return to Dover Air Force Base carrying America's war dead.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates said today that it will now be up to families of the dead to decide whether media outlets can photograph the caskets.

News photographs have been banned since 1991.

So, tonight, we ask you: Do you agree with the change of policy?

Tell us what you think.

Jamie Oliver: Watch What You Eat!

February 23, 2009 11:47 AM

Chef Jamie Oliver recently sat down with ABC News' Nick Watt to dish on his favorite topic: food.

The star of 'The Naked Chef' is currently on a new mission -- campaigning against the use of processed foods in national schools.  He wants everyone to know a little bit more about animal welfare, and he's not afraid to prove his point.

Last year, to demonstrate the life cycle of the chickens, Oliver killed one live on television. Last month he inseminated a pig while viewers cringed.  It's grim television, but it seems to be working.  Find out how tonight on Nightline, and make sure to try out Oliver's recipe for Parmesan Chicken Breasts with Crispy Posh Ham.

Closing Arguments: Are We a 'Nation of Cowards'?

February 18, 2009 10:50 PM

Ap_eric_holder_090218_mn_2Earlier today, Eric Holder, the nation's first black attorney general, turned some heads while talking about race relations during a Black History Month speech.

Specifically, Holder said Americans remain "voluntarily socially segregated."

"Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot in things racial, we have always been, and we, I believe, continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards," he said. "Though race-related issues continue to occupy a significant portion of our political discussion, and though there remain many unresolved racial issues in this nation, we, average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about things racial."

Holder referred to the situation as "truly sad."

So tonight, we ask you: Do you agree with the attorney general's assessment?

Tell us what you think.

Tonight, Chief Washington Correspondent George Stephanopoulos reports that the White House will now release an additional $4 billion to GM -- so the company does not collapse between now and the March deadline.

So, we ask you: Is this new $4 billion for GM money well spent? Or is it throwing good money after bad?

Tell us what you think.

Closing Arguments: Valentine's Day For Sale

February 13, 2009 11:41 PM

Apg_valentines_chocolate_090213_mn The roses. The chocolate. The flowers.

Even in an economic crisis, Americans will spend nearly $15 billion on Valentine's Day this year.

So tonight, we ask you: Is this commercialization spoiling the day itself?

Has the phrase "Would You Be Mine?" become just another commodity?

Tell us what you think.
