Wow, great podcast, thanks. Hiliary comes off well. I agree with her when she says military members must be held to a code of conduct, that relates directly to the argument that gay and lesbian members of the military, as heterosexual, must be held to the same standards in issues of deportment. I agree that all should be able to serve in the military. I do however struggle with the issues of communal showers and sleeping quarters.

Poor Sen. McCain and his "Doubletalk Express"! By trying to emphasize his conservative credentials, he doesn't seem to realize that he's losing his distinctiveness and independence as well as alienating independent voters. He's but a shadow of his former self, I think, and his poll numbers will reflect that fact.

As for Iowa, it is indeed a wonderful state, full of honest, down-to-earth people, and some great food. Did you get a chance to sample a Maid-Rite, also known as a loose-meat sandwich (kind of like a Sloppy Joe without the tomato sauce)? I'm glad you enjoyed your sojourn in Iowa, especially in Keokuk (sp).
