So apparently former Gov. Mitt Romney saw Ralph Reed in the crowd at last week's Georgia Republican Convention and singled him out….as Gary Bauer.
Oops.
The New Hampshire Union-Leader offers that rare nice editorial about Sen. John McCain (CLICK HERE), saying "We disagree with the senator about the immigration bill. But we admire his determination to do what he believes is right even at great personal risk. McCain is gambling his political career on his belief that Americans want a leader, not a follower. So far, no other presidential candidate has had the guts to do the same."
But with recent outbursts -- "F--- you!" he reportedly said to Sen Jon Cornyn, R-Texas, during an immigration reform dust-up -- some others are asking questions about his storied temper. The LA Times did so HERE
It's not a new issue. In 1999 I told the story of McCain's confrontation with Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa. (READ IT HERE)
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, meanwhile, says he will decide in the next 20 days whether he will compete in the Iowa Straw Poll (READ IT HERE). Dr. James Dobson, the influential Christian conservative, doesn't think Giuliani should be running at all. He writes at WorldNetDaily about his issues with Giuliani, which include Giulianis comedic "public appearances in drag. In each instance, he tried to be funny by dressing like a woman. Can you imagine Ronald Reagan, who loved a good joke, doing something so ignoble in pursuit of a cheap guffaw? Not on your life. "
What say you?

RON PAUL though being ignored by the media pretty much, even after he maintains a huge lead in the polls, is the exact man this country needs.
The United Republicans of California (UROC) have unanimously endorsed Congressman Ron Paul for president of the United States. UROC, formed in 1963 to support Barry Goldwater, represents the traditional conservative wing of the California Republican Party.

This is about your piece this morning on GMA about the war funding bill - are you auditioning for Fox or something? Senators didn't vote against FUNDING THE TROOPS - they voted against THIS PARTICULAR BILL.

The erstwhile Dr. Dobson conveniently forgets that male comedians like Milton Berle and Bob Hope got some of their biggest laughs in drag, and that no one would ever consider either of them to be "...ignoble in pursuit of a cheap guffaw." Mr. Giuliani has every right to run as a Repub candidate, despite what an ultraconservative religious revivalist thinks.
It has always been my contention that intelligent people can disagree without being disagreeable, but I fear that contention was left by the wayside long ago when extreme partisanship on both sides became the order of the day. I can certainly understand tempers becoming short, but name-calling and use of profanity are simply unnecessary and unappealing in a candidate. Such behavior from Sen. McCain could cause more than a few people to question his ability to lead, though I can't imagine that Sen. Cornyn relinquished any ground in his fight with Sen. McCain, either.
In any case, a high degree of civility of behavior in politics is needed, especially now. Politicians should always remember the definition of a true diplomat: someone who can tell you to go to hell and make you look forward to the trip.

Ha! Hey, who can blame Romney. I confuse all those rightie wingnuts too. An indistinguishable chorus of family values, blah blah blah, Hillary is satan, blah blah blah...who can keep them all straight? Too bad for Romney that the wingnuts butter his bread. Maybe he should have one of his aids create a facebook? I'm sure that's on his to-do list for today. And you better believe he's got a to do list - he may not be bright, but he's definitely organized!

Why is it the Media is making these issue with the Republican Candidates but nothing is said about the Libs gaffes.
Well first I truly believe that everyone on both sides in the race now will not win the Presidency
And hopefully the American people will say, that since you have sicken us with this early run, we do not want you.
By the way McCain is not a Republican. Guilliani moderate, and has not everyone made a mistake with a name, oh thats right Republicans are held to a higher ground which is good, but they can not forget anything nor mistake a name.
But the Libs well they can call our troops terrorists, Nazis, dumb, and that they lost. Thats ok, well I would not want to be in that type of Party that there high ground is scum.
What we will get from the Republican party is the best candidate.
Ans I hope no matter who wins the Republican primary, that the republicans will stand behind him/her in the General election because no matter what they all are better the what the libs have.
We have differences in our party, which allows it to grow, the Libs all go to see who is less different.
