The Jeffersons
June 04, 2007 9:03 PM
On World News this evening we took a look (FREE VIDEO HERE or DOT-COM VERSION HERE) at the Sopranos-esque federal grand jury indictment of Rep. William Jefferson, D-Louisiana, who stands accused of shaking down businesses trying to secure contracts in Africa in exchange for cash and stock options for himself and his family.
In a defiant press conference this evening, Jefferson's attorney denied the charges.
What say you?

If we stopped talking about our sexual preference in public we would not be so demeaned and vulgarized.
I wish they would take off gay supporting organizations off the terrorist list as well!!!!

It's about time! Rep. William ("Frozen Assets") Jefferson is truly an embarrassment to the people he purportedly represents as well as to anyone who is a respectable legislator. What follows will almost certainly be interesting to watch, especially Rep. Jefferson's "defense."

I thought that Libs were not corrupt??
He should resign from the house, just like they made Delay do who was brought up on Fraudulent charges.
Talking about Cold Cash :)

The evidence against Jefferson is so overwhelming that the Democratic House "leadership" should strip him of all committee assignments now, and not wait for the conviction, which will soon come. However, I would be willing to bet $90,000 of marked bills stored in my home freezer that Pelosi and friends will do the gutless thing, wring their hands, and keep him in place. Good ole profiles in courage from yet another Washington pol.
