Selling Stumbles
July 20, 2007 9:31 AM
The Bush administration is having some issues in its selling of the surge -- they're too often undermining their own case with stumbles as clumsy as Don Draper's aborted fist meeting with Rachel Menkin on AMC's sublime new series "Mad Men" (LINK)
We took a look at some of these moments on Good Morning America this a.m….dot-com HERE and free video HERE…

If I were President:
I would offer 1 Billion Dollars reward, Dead or Alive for Bin Ladens Body or Head.
The Borders would be secured North and South. 12 to 20 million people would soon learn of the implications real fast. Employers including the 11,000 illegals that this currenmt Government employs, would get stiff penalties and jail time. No more retirement package for any politicians at any level, no more free health care, limos, or young interns for pedifiles, sexual misconduct would be an immediate removal and punishment. This sounds better than the Socialist Government we have now. Live by the same laws of all Men. There is some hope.

Border patrol in prison for protecting the Solvranty of this country. Bush takes the word of Illegals and the captured terorrist over an American citizens word. Calls the Min/Man a bunch of Vigelanties. Libby convicted by a JURY and his Rich pal Bush pardon his sentence.(what about the Border Patrol?) Bushes track record and self accomplishments proves, he is worthless to the American way of life, thanks to him and his Rich cronnies, it is but all a dream now. Bush has never been able to achieve anything without the ability to step on ( collateral damage, or the American People)People. His connection to Saudi families, including the finacial backing of the BIN LADEN Group $& family over the past 25 years. Not even the best can sell, with so many objections.

When it comes to Iraq, we need to look at a few facts.
1. Neither the U.S. or Iraqi military have been defeated on the field of battle.
2. The Iraqi government has not collapsed or failed, in fact they continue to make progress. Slow progress to be sure, but if you think they are having problems just try listing the accomplishments of our own Congress for the last 6 months. They can't agree on basic economic policy.
3. Insurgencies traditionally tend to require 7 to 10 years to defeat. Given the progress the surge has had to date, 6 months of patience to see what can be accomplished is a reasonable thing to do.
4. Looking at the price of defeat. Iraq collapsing in to chaos, leaving millions to die in the resulting genocide. Handing Al-Queda a billions in oil revenue, and a safe haven. Possibly giving large portions of Iraq and its oil fields to Iran, giving it billions more to spend on terrorism.
5. Giving Iran and Al-Queda the ability to send the money men and materials it now sends to Iraq to Afghanistan. If we don't stand in Iraq will we stand in Afghanistan?
6. What is the hurry? Fighting terrorism is going to be along term endeavor no matter how you look at it. Why does the war have to be done by 2009? So the Democrats can give the president a poke in the eye. We are trading time and money for soldiers lives, I think it's a good buy.
7. The choices are in ten years Iraq can look like Gaza, or it can look like South Korea. Even when the Korean war ended we didn't abandon South Korea. In ten years we can have stood by the promises made or have abandoned our allies.
8. Quitting is the easiest mistake to avoid and the most costly to make.
9. Remember America. Faith, Duty, Honor, And Fidelity. Rember who you are.

See I concede one thing here, is this President has two issues against him-
1 - He is not a great communicator
2 - No matter what he does the Left wing Media will attack him any way they can.
See the Left only cares about attacking Pres. Bush not about American Security.

It's been said that we live in an age of diminished expectations, and this administration bears witness to those very words. The Ministry of Truth of Oceania could certainly learn a few lessons from the attempts of this administration to redefine its own self-imposed concepts of what "success" will be in Iraq. The biggest problem I foresee with such attempts is that there will be so many redefinitions and reclassifications of the US purpose there that no one will remember, know, or even care as to why we were there in the first place.
