Republican Appeal
October 16, 2007 11:10 AM
I got a little face time with former Sen. Fred Thompson, R-Tenn., yesterday for World News...(LINK) Thompson came into Manhattan to question the Republicanism of former Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
Then on Good Morning America we took a look at the appeal -- in the legal sense -- offered this week by Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, (DOT COM HERE and free video HERE).
What say you about all this?

Taking a swipe at Romney's credibility, McCain said, "this is about being honest with the American people, and if you're really going to get their respect, you've got to respect them first."
=======================================
Senator McCain offers the best in Republican insight/if you consider the raising of taxes Rudy Guiliani might give him a run for his philosophy..Mitt Rommney is an honest man(I think)..and Fred Thompson is vocalizing how MUCH Republican's LOVE-their-Wives/which doesn't really mean they love the womwen of a diverse nation..Fred Thompson attempts to disguise the issues by disguising himself..Huckabee follows the same philosophy..in my mind there is a simplicity to being a Republican ICON--its all about social programs and honesty in TAXES..not some HUGE-argument that we're NOT Raising TAXES/its a FORM of a REVERSE/Mortgage on the WhiteHouse..President G. W. Bush seems well intent on being a great President--his appeal comes along through the lines of VALUES..Pres. Bush has chosen to allow many things that are in a Private DOMAIN(to excist)..and his formidable approach to issues LESS American get pulled into a vacumn..(I think)Mis-Information offers the results in his mentorism..Sen. McCain has that Republican ideal of being right by birth/his Family is his anchor on setting his goals(that's Republican)..Rudy Giuliani is the formidable Mayor from NYC/his vision is a good part of America that needs a Leader..his ambition is all about mastering the beurocracy..his abilities seem to be above board..he's honest in his Republican travels--its just that he's also part of a bigger TRAVEL(he's part of something else)..between being an advocate and being a disguise artist/the RACE4President does set the Repubican's straight on the ISSUES/Taxes-seem to hold down the mis-management of democracy/raising taxes allows the poorly accredited to excist(this is wrong)/Security is a backbone America has like a un-removable WART/and how social freedoms get caught over the sexual issues(Pres. G. W.)has addressed the thoguht's/the arguemnts seem to contain the "thoughtless"..and that's should be more of the revealing part of the part that is a disguise.[end]

Three memos to the players involved here:
1) Memo to Fred Thompson: act as if you have a pulse and are actually interested in the questions an interviewer is asking.
2) Memo to Sen. Larry Craig: Boise's Gay Pride Parade chairperson wants you to head the parade this year. Are you able to accept (sound of foot tapping)?
3) Memo to spock: "The only group that shows hate are Libs"? Please share with the rest of us the obviously industrial-strength psycho-pharmaceuticals you're taking.

cordelia525 - The only group that shows hate are Libs, see Conservative want to keep Traditional Values, We do not care what two agreeing adults do in the privacy of their home. But we do not want the definition of Marriage changed.
Because someone disagrees with you does not make them haters, conservatives are not out there calling names like the libs.

James - interesting. Note to self: southerners dislike mormons more than gays. :p

Cordelia525, you wrote: "If he (Thompson) were smart he'd try to poach Romney, not Guiliani..." I can certainly see where that might make sense on the surface. But I believe Thompson is really targeting his message to Southern Republicans. As odd as it may seem, Southern Republicans are probably more leery of Romney because he is Mormon (although most won't admit to that) than Giuliani and his social liberalism. And as a Southerner Thompson already has both legs up on Romney but just one leg up on Giuliani. The attacks on Giuliani are to gain the other leg up and sew up the Southern Republican vote. BUT Thompson still has to watch out for Huckabee who could be a dark horse in the race.

Fred Thompson is a Great man, and there are a lot more Conservatives out there then anything else and that is where the winning candidate will come from. True Conservatism will out beat any thing the Libs have. Yes the Libs may control the media but thats it.

I'd like to see Thompson with the GOP nomination, just to see his acting skills come through when he tries to peel back his "republicanism" to the general electorate.

I read the Thompson speech. blah blah blah vote for me I don't like gays blah blah blah Whatever. If he were smart he'd try to poach Romney, not Guiliani, voters as Romney voters are more likely to go for Thompson.
