Toll Taken

November 12, 2007 9:42 AM

The road to the White House is one fraught with peril, like the scene outside the grocery store in "The Mist."

Hence, we took a look at the tensions in the McCain-Giuliani friendship -- a rarity in the fact that it is an actual friendship -- emerging now that they're competing for the same voters.

And Hillary Clinton's showing some bruises these days too.

Thoughts?

I don't know about any deals, but Mitt is leading in IA and NH...just like the Dems aiming at Hillary, McCain and Guiliani are aiming at the competition

And it's only recently that they've traded barbs on issues. During the debates, I've noticed that McCain and Guiliani save their criticism for Romney. I think they have a handshake deal to take down Romney, not each other, and it's probably working on some level.
