AFSCME's at it again

December 28, 2007 2:10 AM

The New York Sun's Josh Gerstein reports that the pro-Clinton union AFSCME has launched its anti-Obama website at http://dontleavemeout.com.

AFSCME has been in the news lately for distributing fliers in Iowa faulting Sen. Barack Obama's health care plan for leaving millions of Americans uninsured, which it would do since it does not contain individual mandates.

Sen. Hillary Clinton's plan does, though she won't say what the penalties would be for those who don't abide by them.

And, as we've pointed out before, AFSCME has opposed individual mandates in the past, making this issue, shall we say, rooted more in politics than policy.

On the part of Religion, Socialists believe in the Law of Man, not the Law of God.
As written by Carl Marx himself - "Man makes religion, religion does not make man. Religion is the self-consciousness and self-esteem of man who has either not yet found himself or has already lost himself again....Religious distress is at the same time the expression of real distress and also the protest against real distress. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of spiritless conditions. It is the opium of the people"
----
Think one thing here Man is Foul able God is not, so in that, it proves that socialism is wrong!

spock says "...those are straight out of the Marxist Handbook"

You seem to know a lot in the Marxist Handbook. Where did you get the Handbook?

The problem is Libs are freely spending other peoples money, they do not like spending their own.

Most of the libs cheat on the taxes by one, alot of them have inherited money, invest in Over seas Hedge funds (created by George Soros) and so forth.

The push of this unconstitutional so called national Healthcare (another word for Socialized) has nothing to do with them wanting to help the people get healthcare. but to hold power, see they realize that if they can get it started the people will be forced to support them, because it will be almost impossible to go back.

The funniest part here is anybody who complained about FEMA and New Orleans should be dead set against any governement intrusion on healthcare.

Now lets get the so called numbers right, the dems in the last year increased the number from 42 million to 47 million, the congressional number is apporximatly 35 milllion which includes the 15-20 million illegals in this country (oh by the way Hilary stated her plan does not cover illegals, which is a lie because we already do, Hospitals can not turn emergencies away), number also includes approx 15 million 18-25 year olds that do nt want insurance (they think their superman at that age, also note family policies cover kids until out of college, if the family wants them to) so that is 30 to 35 million, leaving only 2 to 7 million people without healthcare (does not take into affect those that can afford not to or voluntarily do not want it)

So the Dems want to force down the throats 300 million people this barbaric Health plan so that less then 2% can have insurance.

Clue here for the clueless - Do you think the push for this Socialized Health-care, the big warnings about Man-made Global Warming and the attacks on Religion are coincidental, those are straight out of the Marxist Handbook.

jd, you wrote: "It's ('individual mandate') forcing people to buy private insurance..." Actually the ultimate goal is to force government insurance on the masses. Just look at the two SCHIP bills that were passed by Congress, and fortunately vetoed by President Bush. Instead of just re-authorizing the existing SCHIP program, these two bills expanded the program to cover children AND ADULTS who are already covered by private insurance, and potentially some of whom are in households making up to $83,000.

jd, you also wrote: "....the problem is that people can't AFFORD insurance, not that they don't want it." That may be true for most, but certainly not all. There are many who do not want any bureaucrat telling them what medical care they can or cannot have. Instead they pay cash for whatever medical services they want.

Wealthy Liberals feel guilty that some people are going without. Instead of these wealthy Liberals seeking out and providing for individuals in need, these wealthy Liberals want to force everyone to pay higher taxes so that these wealthy Liberals can ultimately force everyone to live according to their (wealthy Liberals') definition of what is healthy. Even the billionaire Warren Buffet said he wishes he HAD to pay more in taxes. But instead of forcing everyone to also pay more in taxes, people like Warren Buffet (who I know already gives tens of millions of dollars to charities and causes every year) should build -- and fully fund -- health clinics all over the country.

Can we please agree to call Hillary's plan what it is?
It is a plan to FORCE YOU TO BUY INSURANCE, if you don't get it from work. So let's call it a plan to "Make it Illegal to be Uninsured".

It's a plan to GARNISH YOUR WAGES if you don't comply. Or to go after you at tax time.

That's what an "individual mandate" is, folks.

It's forcing people to buy private insurance, the same way car insurance works- only you don't get to choose to opt out. (by not owning a car)

Obama is the only top tier candidate who understands, the problem is that people can't AFFORD insurance, not that they don't want it.
