'Amnesty' Push Polls Against Huckabee Tonight

December 26, 2007 6:36 PM

The conservative group opposing illegal immigration (and more moderate attempts to solve the problem), Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, is coming to Iowa tonight  to spread the word that Rudy Giuliani, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and -- perhaps most important -- Mike Huckabee is, in the group's view, soft on this issue .

The group says as part of its media effort its leaders will be sending automated phone calls -- push polls, really -- to tens of thousands of Iowans that intend to spread the word that Huckabee has views on this subject that may not square with the average Iowa GOP voter.

You can listen to the call HERE .

The call is in the form of a poll, but it doesn't really seem designed to gather information as much as it is to spread it.

With ALIPAC, Mitt Romney, and the Club for Growth, Mr. Huckabee has a rocky 8 days ahead of him.

Excuse me commonsense, but middle class Americans did not cause this, and they are the ones paying, Corporate America caused this and our Representatives who are suppose to represent the american people. But the Middle class are the ones paying for what our government has done..so please don't go there, The schools we built for our children with our tax money are so over crowded with illegals or children who don't speak english that are childrens education is suffering from it. Our hospitals for our citizens are closing their doors, and our insurance premiums have gone ski high, maybe not all illegals fault but a huge part of it, It has cost Americans billions to deport and redeport. Our jails are full and crime has run rampet in this country. well Americans are sick of it, we want our country back we want our laws enforced and we want lawlessness and the chaos to stop, and we will fight to bring it back. we will not let it turn into what Mexico and most central American countries are, 3rd world cess pools. It is time for these people to go home and work on fixing their own country and we the citizens of the United States will deal with our politicians and the problems in our country, One thing I do know Americans will fight for their country not get up and run away from their problems, and this is only the beginning as they are just waking up and realizing what has happened.

Huckabee is not the answer to our problems he is to wishy washy on the biggest problem facing our homeland and that is illegal immigration.

Pastor Huckabee has the foreign policy experience to clean up the mess in Pakistan and the Immigration problem with one swipe of his arm. For example, Pastor Huckabee punctuated a point about hiring John Bolton as his foreign policy advisor yesterday by discharging his shotgun over the reporters' heads. In the ensuing ruckus, he didn't have time to mention that he is also advised by Kofi Annan, Henry Kissinger, and Mikhail Gorbachev. The other thing that has not been mentioned is an explanation of Pastor Huckabee's comment about Pakistanis entering the US illegally. What Pastor Huckabee probably meant was that rather than coming in from Mexico, the Pakistanis could be smuggled in by cargo containers originating from the so-called geographically shared eastern border with Afghanistan. This would make sense because, as Pastor Huckabee mentioned, martial law is being enforced in Pakistan, so that everyone else must remain inside their homes which would allow terrorism suspects to slip into the containers unnoticed for journey to the US. Pastor Huckabee apologized for the Pakistani affair because he is a true Christian and that is what Christians do. And because he has a theology degree and he mentioned that most of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were clergymen, it carries extra weight with Christians, so he was able to raise $89,000 in the one day 'money bomb' on December 27.

Michael,
Thank you for adding your quiet but sincere voice to the din of anger towards the citizens of my former country. I am a first generation naturalized American citizen born of a Mexican father and American mother.
Talk about people not doing their homework!!
My family was invited to the US during the 'bracero' program by the United States to serve as workers in this country. After they had worked here for almost EIGHT YEARS under this program. They were suddenly declared illegals and deported to Mexico. Many had purchased land, married and had children. They had made this country their home.
When they returned to a place they had been invited to as guest workers they were hired by those who had employed them before. Do we now attack them as CRIMINALS???!!!
What many US citizens do not realize is that the US created the problem. They need to solve it in a humane way.
I appreciate Mike Huckabee for understanding the situation and wanting to do it right.

A US Citizen with family and strong ties to Mexico

Read the beginning of this article and you know all you need to know about the elite media such as ABC.

" The conservative group opposed to illegal immigration ( and more moderate attempts to solve the problem)......."

That is a sort of subtle way of saying that if you oppose amnesty and want the borders secured, you can not be a moderate. Guess again, there are a lot of us moderates (support abortion rights, are opposed to the Iraq war, etc) who believe the moderate, sane approach is to enforce the laws of our land and that violating the sovereignty of our land is not a joking matter and should not be tolerated. Some of us even remember the 1986 Amnesty bill.

Of course, one can not go to the elite parties of the culturally smug with their faux moral superiority complex and espouse the views of most CITIZENS. And if you don't think that is the case just look at the uproar over the issuing of drivers licenses in New York.

SOSADFORUS, I am definitely not believing for a minute that any of us are going to get straight answers from Huckabee. He lies when he is not being asked a question, such as when he stated he had a theology degree, when he does not. Proof he tends to lie without a second thought. Yes it is time for Americans to choose their own president for a change. The corporations and globalist have done that for far too long!!!!

Posted by: April | Dec 28, 2007 8:58:52 PM

April dear, please don't hold your breath waiting for straight answers out of Huckabee, I hate to think of the consequences to your health, it isn't worth it, we will just have to get the truth out and hope Americans have the good sense to not vote for anyone like Huckabee who favors illegal aliens over American citizens.

Don't let Main stream Media choose your president, This is the year we stand alone and pick our president our self with our the help of the news media, we recognize a liar when we see one.

Posted by: SOSADFORUS | Dec 28, 2007 8:01:49 PM

Question for Huckabee:

Why are you so willing to use American citizen taxpayer dollars to provide special tuition provisions and scholarships to illegal aliens instead of America’s children?

Polls bear out the fact that 80% of American’s are against the DREAM Act, which Huckabee fully supports. Americans are not pleased that they have been forced by an activist Supreme Court decision to educate illegal aliens through primary and secondary schooling. We are totally against providing further taxpayer dollars to illegal aliens in college. The DREAM Act puts illegal aliens into the pool of college applicants. That means for every illegal alien who lands an admissions slot, an American kid is kept out of college. It also is designed to give citizenship to illegal aliens. Mr. Huckabee somehow feels this is 'compassionate' use of our tqax dollars and is the right way to go.

Sure it is, Mike! It's great for the illegal alien, the illegal alien's illegal parents and the illegal alien's support and advocacy groups. It is not great nor fine nor acceptable for the American citizen, the American college student and the American taxpayer.

Posted by: zeezil | Dec 28, 2007 6:18:32 PM

Sure and we believe in the tooth fairy as well, CFisher, we have no idea what Huckabee really wants or will do, he flip flops and lies at the drop of a hat. I still am not over that he lied in front of millions of people that he has a theology degree when he does not. Yeah...sure... we can believe a liar.I don't think so.

Posted by: Mandy | Dec 28, 2007 5:48:43 PM

HANK, I completely agree with you and so does Huckabee. They must go home and get to the back of the line to become legal. Behind those who are already waiting. If they register with the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services within a 120-day window AND leave the country, THEN they may apply for citizenship at the back of the line.

Posted by: CFischer | Dec 28, 2007 5:37:03 PM

Cfisher I hate to burst your bubble but we want illegals gone until they can come through the legal way with due process and correct paperwork. We DO NOT want them to hop across the border in a day and be back as citizens the next day. We donot want them to be rewarded for ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR!!! WE WANT THE LAWS ENFORCED!!! HUCKABEE has already proved a failure at that as govenor of Ar. We are not buying the Huckbee is a good guy line.

Posted by: HANK | Dec 28, 2007 5:16:59 PM

Great Questions Zeezil? Would'nt it be nice to get straight answers on all of them. However, Huckabee has proven he is not a straight talker and will downright lie if he thinks it will help him out or cover his trail. The jig is up Huckabee!!! We are on to you and we are not going to be deceived by your snake oil salesman pitch. Our country means too much to us. Thank you Alipac for continuing to shine the light of truth on Huckabee!!!!

Posted by: April | Dec 28, 2007 5:10:44 PM

SOSADFORUS, that is why Huckabee supports the Fair-tax. This would make all people, legal or illegal, pay taxes. You pay taxes on what you buy, not how much you work. It also eliminates corporations passing their tax bill on to the consumers. I urge everyone to read about it and research it. No matter who u support for president this is a good thing!

Posted by: CFischer | Dec 28, 2007 5:08:45 PM

BTW Mark you forgot to list one of the pro's that Huckabee is most known for.....PRO ILLEGAL!!!!! Try to get your facts straight before you start preaching to all of us informed Americans!!!

Posted by: Zoey11 | Dec 28, 2007 5:03:30 PM

Questions Huckabee needs to answer:

Why did you find it necessary to establish the 47th Mexican Consulate in the U.S. in Arkansas (Little Rock)?

Why did you find it necessary to travel to Mexico as Arkansas governor, utilizing taxpayer dollars to woo Mexico to put a consulate in Little Rock?

Why did you agree to a lease of $1 per year for the Mexican government to pay for office space when the going rental rate for the space is greater than $600 per month? Who is making up the difference? Arkansas taxpayers?

Why does the Mexican government have a three year no cost mortgage on the construction of their new consulate site in Little Rock? Why are they being granted this special favor and who is funding it? Special Interests? The Arkansas Business Community? The Arkansas Taxpayer? Furthermore, it appears that the Mexican Government is getting the construction of its consulate wholly funded by the Arkansas taxpayer. Are the only costs Mexico is incurring just operational and staffing costs?

What role is the consulate playing in supplying cheap (illegal) foreign labor to Arkansas chicken processing plants?

Since the Mexican Consulate is a service organization for Mexicans, and the majority of Mexicans in the U.S. are here illegally, then how are you not a supporter of illegal aliens and illegal immigration into the country?

The Mexican Consulate actively interferes in the U.S. legislative process and even counsels Mexicans on immigration enforcement initiatives by police and immigration officers. How do you reconcile your support for the consulate with that?

The Mexican Consulate also engages in providing identification papers to all Mexicans (legal and illegal) which enables them to operate here. Specifically, the Mexican Matricula card is cranked out constantly and given to ‘their people’. Although, I believe you said you are against the matricula card, how do you reconcile that fact that that is one of the primary purposes of the Mexican Consulate?

Thanks for all the good information SOSADFORUS!!!Huckabee is a BIG NO WAY for me!!! WE CANNOT AFFORD A MAN LIKE HUCKABEE IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!

Posted by: Faye | Dec 28, 2007 4:59:54 PM

From the just released Jan. 2008 New American magazine:

QUOTE: The much-touted “Huckabee Surge” in November-December opinion polls has been attributed by the major media pundits to the former Arkansas governor’s performances in the televised GOP candidate debates and the recent discovery of him by Evangelical Christian voters. However, more skeptical observers might be inclined to note that Mike Huckabee’s sudden jump in the polls was assisted by a quantum jump in media publicity, and that Huckabee, the supposed “outsider,” has been given the stamp of approval by the ultimate political “insider” organization: the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). UNQUOTE

Be advised that the CFR is a wholly globalist organization imbedded within the United States. They are totally pro-open borders, pro-cheap labor from illegals and support all aspects of globalism. They wouldn't be interested in, much less show favor to, a political candidate that didn't support their agenda.

Posted by: zeezil | Dec 28, 2007 4:45:46 PM

Well Huckabee is your step out step in program going to change these costs to the American taxpayer? NOT!Sorry we can not afford politicans like you!

Health care. State-funded uncompensated medical outlays for health care provided to Iowa’s illegal alien population amount to an estimated $48.3 million a year. This estimate does not include higher medical bills and insurance costs that Iowans who have medical insurance pay to cover the costs of those without insurance.

Incarceration. The uncompensated cost of incarcerating deportable illegal aliens in Iowa’s state and local prisons amounts to nearly $4.9 million a year. This estimate excludes compensation from the federal government, short-term detention costs, related law enforcement and judicial expenditures, as well as the monetary costs of the crimes that led to incarceration.

Posted by: SOSADFORUS | Dec 28, 2007 3:39:49 PM

Consider this Iowa, before you vote for Huckabee!

Education. Based on an estimate of 8,645 school-age illegal aliens and 12,100 U.S.-born children of illegal aliens in Iowa and estimated per pupil costs of $8,450 per year for public K-12 schooling, Iowans spend about $175.3 million annually on education for the children of illegal immigrants. An additional estimated $13 million is being spent annually on programs for limited English students who are likely children of illegal aliens. More than four percent of the K-12 public school students in Iowa are children of illegal aliens, and this share has been increasing as the illegal resident population increases and the overall public school enrollment has decreased slightly

Posted by: SOSADFORUS | Dec 28, 2007 3:35:37 PM

You do not have to dig deep at all to see Huckabee's pro-illegal alien agenda and lously record on immigration enforcement during his governorship. Huckabee is deceptive and disingenious when he comes out with a plan that, on the surface, seems like it would be acceptable to those against illegal immigration. Huckabee will say anything to gather votes, but will do what he has historically done: support further invasion into America and take care of those invaders.

Do we really need another compassionate (particularly for illegal aliens) conservative in the White House?

Posted by: zeezil | Dec 28, 2007 1:03:09 PM

If we get someone like Huckabee in office you can plan on taking your children out of public schools, as he believes it is our duty to educate illegals children. The classrooms are over crowded and they are learning more history about Mexico than they are American history, some schools are forcing students to learn spanish now, and we get to pay for this through higher property taxes! expect no more emergancy medical care as there will be no hospitals left for you or your children to go to in an emergancy, and we get to pay for this with higher health costs. Huckabee believes we the American taxpayer have the obligation to pay for these services for illegal aliens and their children. When is enough-enough!!NOW!

Posted by: SOSADFORUS | Dec 28, 2007 12:48:05 PM

No matter how you try to slant the facts. Huckabee has a pro illegal agenda and the American taxpayers are going to be expected to foot the bill!!
That is a BIG NO FOR ME!!!! NO rewards for illegal behavior and no compassion for criminals!!!

Posted by: Randi | Dec 28, 2007 12:08:31 PM

It's a shame when you choose a candidate based on research through Youtube. Yes, it tells what they support but it would help to find out why they support it and the details of their entire agenda. Huckabee is tough on illegal immigration and always has been. He is for increased border patrol and a wall to keep illegals out. Stop using his compassion for illegal's children as the only basis for him being soft on immigration. Look at his history. He brought a Mexican consular office to Arkansas. Not to help bring illegals to the US as Romney thinks! The liberal American government helps them enough. This was to encourage Mexicans to come here legally and to set up a way to come here legally. He has always been against illegal immigration and has done what he can to stop it. (Unlike Romney in NH and Gulliani is NY) He has set up ways to encourage LEGAL immigration (something that other Republican candidates are scared to do b/c they think it's being soft on illegals so they do nothing).

Posted by: CFischer | Dec 28, 2007 11:21:02 AM

I agree Dan, for far too long we have been brainwashed that we should feel sorry for people who are breaking the law and gift them for being here illegally. It is insane and must be stopped!! Huckabee is promoting it as compassion but I view as betrayal of the American people because we are the ones that will have to foot the bill and suffer the consequences of the over population of illegal aliens who will take jobs, increase crime, decrease wages and cause more accidents on the roads, due to the fact they have not had any drivers ed. Where is the compassion for the American Citizens Mr. Huckabee?

Posted by: April | Dec 28, 2007 11:15:46 AM

WAAAAAA I am sick of globalist wanting us to feel sorry for the illegals so they can use them for cheap labor and drive down wages for Americans!!! I am sick of that attitude. I say something drastic needs to be done LIKE ENFORCE THE LAW. NO REWARDS for ILLEGAL ALIENS OR FAST TRACK citizenship for illegals at Americans expense. Legal immigrants had to come in the correct way through the correct process and that is the way it should be done. No shortcuts AND no special perks for illegal behavior AND NO HUCKABEE because he supports shortcuts and perks!!!!

Posted by: DAN | Dec 28, 2007 11:08:41 AM

Tonda I have researched Huckabee and your are RIGHT ON! He accepted many gifts as governor which yes is an indication in my opinion that he can be bought off. If you investigate videos of him speaking you will see that he is VERY PRO ILLEGAL which he trys to sell as being compassionate. He needs to spread some compassion OUR WAY and NOT expect US to foot the bill for his PRO ILLEGAL AGENDA!! We have a bunch of people posting on here that are trying to muddy the facts and sell Huckabee to us, however do not be fooled. Search for videos on Huckabee speaking about illegal immigration and his plan for instate tuition for illegals and you will see the truth about him. DO NOT BE SWAYED FROM THE TRUTH by Huckabee supporters who most likely have a globalist agenda!

Posted by: PeterW | Dec 28, 2007 11:01:45 AM

Illegal is illegal! You are absolutely correct. They should be fined and the law should be enforced more than it has been. And this is exactly what Huckabee proposes. But, how is a person whose parents illegally moved to the US when they were younger than five years old (now 18) and whom has been assimilated into the American culture and chooses on their own to legally become a citizen to be punished for their parents crime? If they have lived in the US from when they were five until they were 18, u think the US government who hasn't done a thing since Reagan gave them amnesty in the 80's is supposed to throw them to a country they want nothing to do with, know nothing about that way of living, and a country they have not seen since they were children or possibly since they were babies?

Posted by: CFischer | Dec 28, 2007 10:58:42 AM

I think you need to research Huckabee's "gifts" a little more. He had so many elitist enemies who tried to charge him with all of these false claims of accepting gifts. Every one of these claims were researched by the Ethics Commission and found to be false. Every single case that was filed against him was dropped. The people who filed these claims are the same Romneys and Gullianis that are proclaiming these half-stories about Huckabee and don't tell the entire story. Huckabee has gotten where he is not by telling falsehoods about the other candidates, but by informing people of the realities of Huckabee's history. Romney meanwhile has spent millions on attacking Huckabee and McCain because he doesn't have a history to set as a backbone for his candidacy. If people only researched Huckabee for themselves they would find out the truth.

Posted by: CFischer | Dec 28, 2007 10:45:06 AM

Illegal is Illegal and we need a president that will enforce the law, not contribute to the problem by rewarding bad/illegal behavior. Illegals need to go back home and NOT come back until they have had to go through all the paperwork and legal processees that legal immigrants have to go through. To reward bad behavior sends a message that it is okay to do the sneak, lie and manipulate to get your way. It is also a slap in the face to all legal immigrants who went through the correct process.Huckabee is favor of rewarding bad/illegal behavior by giving instate tuitions and touch back amnesty to illegal aliens at our expense and against the wishes the majority of Americans. He needs to learn compassion for Americans and realize that illegals are here illegally which IS AGAINST THE LAW!!!!!THE LAWS NEED TO BE ENFORCED NOT BENT FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS AND THE CORPORATIONS THAT WANT THEM AS LABORERS!!!NO TO HUCKABEE!!!

Posted by: RACHEL | Dec 28, 2007 10:37:01 AM

Romney and some of the other Republicans (whose record speaks more as a Populist than Huckabee's) love to speak of Huckabee's "tuition for illegals" bill that he tried to pass. But they ALWAYS fail to give the details. These children must have been in the ARK school system for their entire education, must have had an 'A' average throughout their education, and must be currently regisered to become an American citizen. These kids had no say as to where their parents would illegally move to, but still wanted to become American citizens. If a straight 'A' student, who does whatever he can to become a US citizen and embrace the American culture and dream is not the kind of immigrant we want to become Americans then I don't know who would be.

Posted by: CFischer | Dec 28, 2007 10:33:45 AM

Huckabee's record speaks for itself. Yes, he is tough on illegal immigration. He is also a compassionate Conservative. Kicking every illegal out after our government has turned its back for the past two decades and hasn't done a single thing to prevent this from happening in the first place is not an answer for anyone. They have raised kids here for the past twenty years. This is in no way supporting amnesty. They need to pay a fine for commiting this crime. However, if Huckabee can convince these illegals to come forward and start the path to legal citizenship, to become patriotic Americans, and assimilate into our culture thats way more than what our government has done so far. And at the same time make our government do something about our borders (increasing border patrol and building a wall), then we might begin to enforce these laws that we haven't been doing.

Posted by: CFischer | Dec 28, 2007 10:18:35 AM

The bottom line on Huckabee is a lying politician and will say anything to get elected, even lie about having a theology degree to gain a voter or two. It is on the record that as govenor of Ar. he accepted tons of gifts, I think that is an indication that he can be bought easily. His touchback amnesty and in state tuition for illegals is not going to benefit American citizens. We are going to have to foot the bill for his pro illegal stances. You can list all the propoganda you want it does not change the thinking American's mind!!! NO to HUCKABEE!!!!We need an honest man in the white house who does not use God references all the time to try to further his agenda!!!

Posted by: Tonda | Dec 28, 2007 9:51:58 AM

Was Ronald Reagan a liberal?

Ronald Reagan granted amnesty to 2.7 million illegal immigrants in 1986.

Guess Ronald Reagan was a liberal.

If illegal immigration is your litmus test for a candidate...

Ronald Reagan was pro-amnesty.

David Duke is anti-amnesty.

Who would you rather vote for?

There's more to life than illegal immigration.

Jim Gilcrist, founder of the Minutemen, has endorsed Mike Huckabee for President. That speaks volumes!

Although he is compassionate towards the children of illegal immigrants, Mike Huckabee's platform opposes amnesty and supports sending the illegals back.

Mike Huckabee's overwhelming Conservative credentials speak for themselves...

Mike Huckabee is Pro-life.
Mike Huckabee is Pro-military.
Mike Huckabee is Pro-defense spending.
Mike Huckabee is Pro-death penalty.
Mike Huckabee is Pro-second ammendment.
Mike Huckabee is Pro-veterans.
Mike Huckabee is Pro-family.
Mike Huckabee is Pro-prayer in school.
Mike Huckabee is Pro-school vouchers.
Mike Huckabee is Pro-home schooling.
Mike Huckabee is Pro-Israel.
Mike Huckabee is Pro-Biblical creation.
Mike Huckabee is Pro-marriage being defined as one man and one woman.

Mike Huckabee is Anti-Darwinian evolution.
Mike Huckabee is Anti-gays in the military.
Mike Huckabee is Anti-gay marriage.
Mike Huckabee is Anti-abortion.
Mike Huckabee is Anti-embryonic stem cell research.
Mike Huckabee is Anti-illegal immigration
(but doesn't hold it against the children who were born here).
Mike Huckabee is Anti-IRS.
Mike Huckabee is Anti-amnesty.
(yes, he opposed the amnesty bill).
Mike Huckabee is Anti-socialized medicine.
Mike Huckabee is Anti-euthanasia.

That's a conservative.

I'm voting for Mike Huckabee for President!

I donot know how you can call it gossip, when it is documented from the man's own mouth that he supports in state tuition for illegals and wants to give them citizenship after they take a short walk across the border and back.He stated that it is racist not to want to give illegals benefits. Who will foot the bill? Not Huckabee, it will be us the American tax payer. These are facts that cannot be ignored and no amount of talking in circles is going to change the facts. Huckabee is the candidate that the globalist elites want in office and they are trying to promote him as a man for the people!!! Wrong!!! Lies will not hide the tuth!!!The American people are tired of being played for fools.Huckabee needs help all right...help to drop out of the race.

Posted by: April | Dec 28, 2007 12:09:33 AM

Who of you really enjoy being a surrogate gossiper distributing political gossip for candidates owned by Wall Street’s elite? GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! Wise people know the difference between gossip and fact.

Or, would you rather spend your spare time doing something honorable and help Mike Huckabee remove the “For Sale” sign from the lawn of the White House? Your choice.

Go Huckabee!

Posted by: David, Oregon City | Dec 27, 2007 11:40:22 PM

From Huckabee's office! does this sound like someone who is tough on illegal immigration...he was willing to use your taxpayer money for illegals, instead of for your children.

In 2005, Huckabee tried to make children of illegal immigrants eligible for scholarships and in-state college tuition.

Joyce Elliott, the former state representative who sponsored the scholarship measure, said she originally had wanted to offer just in-state tuition, but Huckabee's office asked her to add the scholarship provision.

Posted by: SOSADFORUS | Dec 27, 2007 10:07:01 PM

Got a child in college? Got a child who hopes to go to college in the future?

Beware of Huckabee. The Huckster supports the DREAM Act which is highly favorable to illegal aliens at the expense of American citizens. The DREAM Act puts illegal aliens into the pool of college applicants. That means for every illegal alien who lands an admissions slot, an American kid is kept out of college. It also is designed to give citizenship to illegal aliens. Mr. Huckabee somehow rationalizes this perversity as “compassionate.”

Posted by: zeezil | Dec 27, 2007 9:48:03 PM

This is basically the gist of Huckabee's immigration plan: He would repeal the 3- and 10-year bars to illegals’ re-entry, for illegals who register during a 120-day period with Homeland Security and temporarily exit the country (for at most days; and many would likely not even leave the country but would be allowed to go to their nearest consulate on American soil).

They would “face no penalty if they apply to immigrate or visit” the U.S. (they'd be back in within just days). He also would reward these lawbreakers (and their law-breaking employers) by allowing the aliens to keep the very jobs they sneaked in and took. He wants them back in quick to slide back into the same jobs they had before their quick exit and return (touchback).

Judicial Watch has just released its "Top 10 Most Corrupt Politicians of 2007(Huckabee is on the list at #6):

6. Governor Mike Huckabee (R-AR): Governor Huckabee enjoyed a meteoric rise in the polls in December 2007, which prompted a more thorough review of his ethics record. According to The Associated Press: “[Huckabee’s] career has also been colored by 14 ethics complaints and a volley of questions about his integrity, ranging from his management of campaign cash to his use of a nonprofit organization to subsidize his income to his destruction of state computer files on his way out of the governor’s office.” And what was Governor Huckabee’s response to these ethics allegations? Rather than cooperating with investigators, Huckabee sued the state ethics commission twice and attempted to shut the ethics process down.

I just read that Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) just released the initial results of their informative poll of Republican voters in Iowa which asked, "Do you support or oppose Mike Huckabee's touchback amnesty plan to allow the illegal aliens to leave the US and return legally in one day?" with initial responses showing GOP voters reject Huckabee's plan by a factor of 6 to 1.

Of the thousands of voters that responded to the automated poll, 65% said they opposed the plan, 25% were undecided, and only 10% supported the plan.

Americans are on to Huckabee's agenda and they are saying NO!!!!

Posted by: Victoria | Dec 27, 2007 8:29:45 PM

Alipac' cause is to fight illegal immigration and endorses no candidate. However, I have found that alipac makes it their business to put out the facts on candidates who support amnesty and backs up those facts with data. Something I can see that some of the posters here who support Huckabee can't do.

I have been following William Gheen and Alipac in the news and I like what I see. I appreciate him standing up and speaking out on behalf of the majority of Americans. Keep up the good work Mr. Gheen. I have invesigated your facts about Huckabee and found them to be true. Thank you.

Right they have rights to manipulate our political system, the gall to meet and incite their citizens in our country against we the citizens of this country is that not arrogance and gall!!

Mr. Huckabee has a record on illegal immigration. It goes against the will of the people. This fast track that he wish to provide for anyone who wants to enter the USA does not provide for proper screening for those here illegally. He is for a "touch back" plan, where you step out and then back in, ahead of those who come legally. He is also a backer of the DREAM ACT which would give millions of illegal aliens a back door amnesty through their illegal alien children up to 30 years old and older if they lie. Tell your family and friends that America will never be the same with an open borders illegal alien supporter. Our communities and cities have been the receivers of gangs (MS 13), crime, home and apt. overcrowding, drunk driving increases, identity theft, school overcrowding, health care crisis (financial) and a huge cultural change due to lack of assimilation. Enforce the law, secure the border and DO NOT vote for Mike Huckabee. Pass it On Americans.

I agree Connie, there are tons of videos that has Huckabee lying to all of us in his own words and videos where he is talking about his proillegal agenda. The truth is out there is people will take the time to look. America is in such bad condition right now I hope all the people take the time to be informed.I am especially angry because he hides behind religion while doing all manner of evil. As governor of Ar. he was notorious for taking gifts. That is a bad sign and shows that he is easily bought.

Posted by: TIREDOFLIARS | Dec 27, 2007 2:20:47 PM

Definitely consider the source when it comes to Huckabee!!!Consider all the times he has lied and flip flopped. Consider that he is supporting in state tuition for illegals as well as lying about having a theology degree, as well as wanting illegal to leave the US for a day or so and come back citizens!! He is pro illegal which means he could care less about the majority of Americans!!!Consider all that and you will see Huckabee is not what he claims to be.He has lied over and over and that is the last thing we need in the White House!!!

Posted by: Connie | Dec 27, 2007 2:09:51 PM

All I have to say is "consider the source". None of the Huckabee detractors is "objective". The fact that Romney is the only man left standing SHOULD tell you something. Fact check: Huckabee is for a border fence and sending illegals home. Nothing says he will be less effective here than Romney who changes his tune with each new political wind. There are no guarantees with Romney...either.

I am so tired of all the lies and deceit that Huckabee and others like him are promoting. I live in a town that is over run with illegals. The crime has skyrocketed and the traffic accidents are constant, not to mention wages have been DRIVEN DOWN. I am VERY ANGRY at HUCK and his buddies for their support of illegals. If they were in my shoes I am sure they would feel different. Thank you Alipac for standing up for what the majority of Americans want. If we had a few more politicians like you, this mess would already be clean up!

The last thing we need is a corrupt illegal alien supporter like Huckabee in the White House!!!!! Thank you Alipac! Keep up the GOOD WORK!!!

Posted by: Malida | Dec 27, 2007 1:26:32 PM

Great Facts SOSADFORUS!!! IF he will lie about having a theology degree, I am sure there is nothing sacred or that he will not lie about. If he thinks a lie will further him, it is obvious he will not hesitate to do it!!!

Posted by: Sam | Dec 27, 2007 1:24:28 PM

Good facts, Pat Riot. Also, due to public clamor and legislative action, Arkansas was to enroll in the 287(g) program. But Huckabee sat on it and refused to process the paperwork for the last year and a half of his administration. He left the mandate unfulfilled and dropped it into the lap of the next governor of Arkansas. 287(g) is the federal/state/local cooperation program to enable the removal and deportation of criminal illegal aliens.

Posted by: zeezil | Dec 27, 2007 1:01:45 PM

Don't fall for Huckabee's slick talk. If you review his so-called immigration plan and review his past record, it's obvious he wants amnesty for the millions of illegal aliens who snuck into our country. We simply should not and cannot change the laws and redefine amnesty to reward lawbreaking. And Gilchrist should be ashamed of himself for endorsing such a charlatan.

Distroying your hard drives so no information can be obtained sounds like one of Bushes tricks to me...Ask your self is this what you want for another 4 years! Not me,and I will not trust my country to someone who can not take a stand or hasn't any true convictions on the biggest problem our country is facing today. I can't think of one position Huckabee has stuck with on our illegal alien immigration problems since the day he started his campaign. Wake up America, W, Gheen and alot of others are working their butt off to warn "We the People" before we turn our country over to another incompetent president on the subject of illegal aliens who are invading our Nation. Thank you alipac(dot)com.

I like Mike and I think Romney should stop trying to be like Mike and tear him down. That is unchristian of him. Mike is a good decent man and will defend this country. Good men always have to endure the criticisms of the evil. This is another example, but the truth will shine and Mike will be alright!

Our immigration system IS NOT BROKEN...it is IGNORED!!!!!!!!!
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!!!
Enforce our current immigration laws!!!
THEY WORK!!! STOP ELECTING CORRUPT POLITICIANS!! HUCKABEE IS A CORRUPT POLITICIAN HIDING BEHIND RELIGION AND COMPASSION...who doesn't care about the citizens of this country...he is only ACTING ... UNTIL he were to get elected!!! Wake up to the LIE'S America!!!

Posted by: jak55 | Dec 27, 2007 12:35:30 PM

ALIPAC is one of the sanest, most moderated boards around Huck is a huckster, hiding behind a mainstream relgion. Immigration is a big issue to Americans, especially if they are looking for a job. Go ALIPAC!

Posted by: Babs | Dec 27, 2007 12:09:30 PM

BTW I have noticed Alipac is NOT backing any candidate at this time. It appears that they are doing the process of elimination, that is really smart in my opinion since things start coming out about candidates about this time and digging needs to be done to see who is sincere and who is'nt. William Gheen is NOBODYS fool and has no intention of backing anyone until he is sure they are not one of the USUAL politicians who lies to try to convince voters or is hiding information on his true agenda.

Posted by: Brandy | Dec 27, 2007 12:04:59 PM

I agree Delia, I have been watching his corny attempts to win voters by using God references!!! It has totally turned me against him as well as his open border agenda. He flip flopped to try to fool us that he has changed his mind on Amnesty.I AM NOT FOOLED!!!! It would be a nightmare if he made it to the White House.

Posted by: Jack | Dec 27, 2007 12:00:14 PM

I guess ALIPAC didn't get the memo about Romney's sanctuary mansion.

Posted by: cordelia525 | Dec 27, 2007 11:59:57 AM

Alipac's only agenda appears to be to is to shine light on the truth.I am personally SICK of ALL the LIES!!!! WE DO NOT NEED a president WHO has an agenda of amnesty and open borders. Americans have suffered enough due to the present situation. Also I find it extremely offensive that Huckabee uses God to further HIS agenda! Thank you Alipac and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!

Posted by: Delia | Dec 27, 2007 11:43:11 AM

First and Foremost, 85% of Americans are against Amnesty!

Huckabee is being being pushed by the lib press because they think he is the only Republican the can defeat in 08!

Now on that Any Candidate that supports amnesty should never be voted in!

Huckabee is anti-Catholic, Anti-Mormon, and Anti-Jewish it seems.

Now why is it up to only iowa, People vote for your candidate not for the the one that wins Iowa or NH unless that is your man.

Posted by: spock | Dec 27, 2007 10:30:51 AM

I'm with you on that, PJ.

ALIPAC clearly has another agenda here. They're clearly twisting Huckabee's words. I watched the interview on FOX and he was talking about how people come illegally because the legal process is so broken. He was saying that illegals need to go to the back of the line, but that the legal process shouldn't take 8 years like it does now -- and he used the analogy of getting a credit card and how it only takes a few days or weeks.

WTH with this clearly false attack?!

Posted by: Joe | Dec 27, 2007 3:36:12 AM

Just a few things Huckabee flunks the test on:
His support for:
- Driver's licenses for illegal aliens
- His support for the failed Kennedy-McCain amnesty bill
- His support, in general, for amnesty and his deceptive and ridiculous touchback provision
- His pandering to illegal alien support groups (i.e., his LULAC speech)
- His support for non-prosecuting employers of illegal aliens (ie, Wal Mart and Tyson Chicken, two of the biggest employers of illegals in Arkansas)
- His support for in-state tuition for illegal aliens
- His recruiting and seeking a Mexican Consulate (#47 mex consulate in the U.S.) for Little Rock, Arkansas. He brought them in to service the large illegal population working at the Wal Marts and chicken processing plants. Wanted to make sure their "rights" were protected and they got their Mexican Matricula ID cards. He also arranged a sweetheart lease deal ($1 per year) for the Mex Consulate while taxpayers were being socked as a new consulate was being built.

Huckabee has a horrible record on immigration and you do not have to dig deep or look hard to turn these things up.

I believe that anyone smart enough to listen long enough to the candidates themselves while ignoring the rhetoric and negative ads , and does their homework by checking out their websites, along with the time tested consistency of their convictions will clearly see why Mike Huckabee is the man qualified not only to lead, but also reunite our divided Nation. I believe that Americans are tired of business as usual. We the People suffer the consequences of ill made decisions based on media agendas, negative ads, smoke, and mirror political ads, and "informational" polls designed to malign political opponents. If that is how candidates win elections, then we really are stupid. People need to think for themselves rather than allowing themselves to be given their opinion from their television, radio, internet, or by others, and thus allow themselves to be led like lambs to the polls.

Do your homework, and vote your conscience Iowa!
America depends on you!

It's good to see that Huckabee's doublespeak is being revealed by ALIPAC. Huckabee has a dismal record on illegal immigration as Arkansas Governor. Not only would he give illegal aliens amnesty (which absolves them of all their infractions and also provides them with CITIZENSHIP), he'll also make sure the taxpayers support them through college with special tuition considerations. When Huckabee talks like he is tough on illegal immigration he is doing it with a forked tongue. He had his hands and support deep into setting up the Mexican Consulate in Little Rock, Arkansas; even giving them an almost free lease while taxpayers build their permanent consulate. He, McCain and Ghiuliani all favor amnesty which 80% of the American people are against. But the special interests, big business and corporations love it. That's why he's riding high, because of their support and his lies. Huckabee has no real interest in securing the borders and stopping illegal immigration. His interest lies with supporting the illegals, just how Wal-Mart and Tyson Chicken (two of the largest employers of illegals in Arkansas) like it. Be aware, Iowans, of the man who speaks with a forked tongue. I like to call him...Huckabillery because he isn't that much difference from Hillary (Billary) Clinton. Keep up the good work, ALIPAC, and expose Huckabillery. And your phone message is great.

Some bloggers have mischaracterized many of these ethics charges and Huckabee's two lawsuit against the Arkansas Ethics Committee. Most of these charges were nothing more than "rough-and-tumble Arkansas politics." There are two excellent articles regarding Mike Huckabee's ethics charges and the reason he sued the ethics committee by Kenneth P. Vogel. Just Google "Kenneth P. Vogel," "Huckabee" and "Ethics." They should be the first two hits. The first is "Huckabee rivals unearth ethics complaints" dated Nov 21, 2007. The second is "Huck's gift-givers ended up in state posts" dated Dec 14, 2007.

Read these articles and make up your own mind. Don't just take the word of bloggers.
