Edwards ascendant?
December 29, 2007 9:36 AM
Who knows, but it's a tight three-way race here.
We spent the day with Edwards...here's the VIDEO OF OUR NIGHTLINE REPORT...
Here's our World News piece...
And here's our dot-com look at the interview...
What do you think of Johnny Reid Edwards?
-- jpt
UPDATE: Hey Katerina -- his birth name is Johnny Reid Edwards. No disrespect intended. That's his name.
And JL...I have indeed referred to Mr. Obama by his full name, including the Hussein. Try checking out this new thing called "Google."

Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Edwards ascendant?:
Jake -- I noticed that during your WN report on John Edwards (from Friday) you introduced him as a former trial lawyer without mentioning that he is also a former senator and 2004 vice presidential candidate.
What was your thinking on this?
Thanks for the fun blog!

I think Edwards has been getting a free ride from the media.
Take for example his recent lobbyist pledge. Obama was criticized for making the same pledge when, as Jake put it, "his actual proposal on lobbying reform is far more permissive, disallowing for two years a lobbyist for a specific industry to work at the White House on contracts or regulations pertaining to that industry."
Well, then why is Edwards not being criticized for the fact that he's proposed the exact same thing. This is from his website: "Edwards will bar individuals who acted as federal lobbyists in the preceding two years from taking senior executive jobs with responsibility for the subject areas on which they lobbied."
So unless he's changed his position at the last minute for a political advantage (which would also be a story), there appears to be a clear double standard.

Jake, thanks for finally presenting some coverage about Edwards, although it is too little and very late.
I am also curious about how you address Obama. Barack Hussein Obama? Or you are just too scared to even mention the Hussein part like everybody else in the media.

"What do you think of Johnny Reid Edwards?"
I think he deserves more respectful treatment than being called Johnny. I suppose you also address Barack Obama as Barry?

How disingenuous not to include Dr. Ron Paul in political "reporting". Shows once again that Corporate controls propaganda masquerading as news...
