Trust Huckabee Goes After McCain

December 30, 2007 11:18 AM

The mysterious "Trust Huckabee" 527 has launched an anti-Romney ad in New Hampshire using past video of Mitt Romney talking about his former views in favor of abortion rights.

You can watch the ad here.

The ad also features a plug of a new attack website, "CannotTrustRomney.com," which features video clips of Romney making similar comments in favor of abortion rights.

Huckabee has disavowed the group "Trust Huckabee" which has conducted push-poll phone calls against his opponents.

Now the group threatens to tear at the alliance between Huckabee and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

Right now Huckabee and McCain are praising each other and dissing Romney for launching attacks on them in, respectively, Iowa and New Hampshire.

But "CannotTrustRomney.com" also contains video of McCain discussing campaign finance reform and opposing the constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage -- indicating they have their sights set on him as well.

I don't care that Huckabee is a so-called christian. What bothers me, is that he has consistantly used his so-called religious accomplishments to boost his campaign as well as attack others.

The only thing Huckabee wants you to think is that he is some how qualified to be president because he used to be a baptist minister and is a so called true "Christian Leader".

Look through his "Awe Schucks" act and see him for what he really is. Mike Huckabee is a wolf in sheep's clothing that uses the religion card to push his own agenda.

Louis,

In an article I just read "Push Poll group launches anti Romney" it says the group feels this will help Mike Huckabee. I did not get the impression they have gotten the message regarding Mike Huckabee wanting them to stop this imediantly. I think Mike Huckabee is very shrewd and will say publicly that he wants it to stop but privately he will do little to stop the push poll. I believe it was the Huckabee camp that was responsible for the first push poll attacking Romneys mormon religion. But in the words of Mitt Romney " we may never know who is responsible..." However this practice is illegal according to a post by AmericanWoman and it is hard to understand why more is not being done to stop this group from breaking the law in order to support a candidate whom you believe has honesty, love and integrity. It is hard to believe that these guys are in the same camp. It just does not add up.

Also, in the article I mentioned above there in the comment section and D Hansen of Apex NC said that Huckabee made the top 10 list of 2007 for the most corrupt politicans. The definition of corrupt is "not honest" Also, Huckabee refuses to make his records as governor avaliable to the press. What does he have to hide?

Huckabee called Mitt Romney dishonest for running a contrast ad that portrays Huckabee as someone who has a very liberal record. If there is evidence to the contrary why can't he produce the necessary data to refute Romney's claims?

"I thought push polling was frowned upon and it seems to me that Huckabee will do whatever it takes..."

Mike Huckabee does NOT want this to continue. It HURTS his credibility. He has said on NUMEROUS occasions for these people (who are NOT part of his campaign to stop immediately). WHY would you do something that would turn your voters away? Think. Mike is NOT behind this.

Push polling is illegal, criminal charges need to be filed.

Posted by: AmericanWoman | Dec 30, 2007 3:13:32 PM

Is TrustHuckabee responsible for the push poll that originally resulted in Huckabee's surge in Iowa?

I thought push polling was frowned upon and it seems to me that Huckabee will do whatever it takes to further his political objectives no matter how low he has to go. I can't trust the Huck.

Mitt Romney has run a fair and descent campaign. The media has said he is getting nasty. The reality is that Romney has run contrast ads, not nasty ones. Push polling is nasty. Romney has simply exposed the records of his rivals. If they are so proud of their record then they should welcome the free advertisements. Romney claims that the data in the ads are correct and a matter of public record. The Huck has not produced data that says otherwise. Instead he just calls Romney dishonest but he is not being nasty. I can't trust the Huck.

The tongue is sharper than any 2-edged sword. It lies.

Mike Huckabee is not perfect. No one is. However, Mike Huckabee has something NO OTHER CANDIDATE HAS - honesty, love, and integrity.

He, like no other, can bring this country back together again. And America NEEDS that now more than ever.

President Huckabee. Get used to it. WE THE PEOPLE DO NOT WANT ANY OTHER POLITICIAN BOUGHT OFF BY SOME SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP....

Tim Russert went very easy on Pastor Huckabee on Meet the Press today. This proves that Pastor Huckabee is the choice of g-d. Pastor Huckabee has the foreign policy experience to clean up the mess in Pakistan and elsewhere with one swipe of his mighty arm. For example, Pastor Huckabee punctuated a point about having John Bolton as his foreign policy advisor the other day by discharging his shotgun over the reporters' heads, because he's a tough law-and-order man. In the ensuing melee, he didn't have time to mention that he is also advised by Kofi Annan, Henry Kissinger, and Mikhail Gorbachev. The other thing that has not been mentioned is an explanation of Pastor Huckabee's comment about Pakistanis entering the US illegally. What Pastor Huckabee probably meant was that rather than coming in from Mexico, the Pakistanis are smuggled in by cargo containers originating from the so-called geographically shared eastern border with Afghanistan. This would make sense because, as Pastor Huckabee mentioned, martial law is being enforced in Pakistan, so that everyone else must remain inside their homes which would allow terrorism suspects to slip into the containers unnoticed for transport to the US. Yes, Pastor Huckabee apologized for the Pakistani affair, but he did that because he is a true Christian and that is what Christians do. And since he has a theology degree and as he mentioned, most of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were clergymen, it carries extra weight with Christians, so he was able to raise $89,000 in the one day 'money bomb' on December 27. Pastor Huckabee also knows that we must protect Israel at all costs for it is in the Bible. He has the power of a multinational corporation, Amway, at his disposal to bring the countries who won't get in line on terrorism to their knees. Oh, how happy everyone will be when Pastor Huckabee is president and puts the Christ back into Christians!
