Question for the Night

January 08, 2008 8:09 PM

When all is said and done about the New Hampshire primary, no matter who wins tonight, there's one question I can't shake.

In the last few days we've been treated to Sen. Hillary Clinton projecting at the ABC News debate what many (including me, fairly or unfairly) saw as anger… (LINK)

She also nearly wept… (LINK)

And she seemed to dis Martin Luther King… (LINK)

Her top campaign strategist issued a credibility-straining memo challenging a well-established newspaper poll (that turned out to be dead-on)… (LINK)

Then followed it up with another credibility-straining memo about Obama not having a post-Iowa bounce -- which also proved wrong… (LINK)

Meanwhile her husband claimed his wife was tougher than Nelson Mandela or Yitzhak Rabin… (LINK)

And lashed out last night with some fact-challenged claims of his own… (LINK)

One of her spokespeople seemed to make light of the victims of tragedies that the Edwards campaign has taken under its wing... (LINK)

Her campaign was going to launch a negative ad against Obama… then decided it wasn't going to… now we hear it might again…

And tonight we hear there's a major staff shake-up, just minutes before the results of the New Hampshire primary come in. (LINK)

All the while Obama has been strutting, pouring on the charm, and acting… well… presidential.

Here's the question:

Tell me, again… which one of these candidates is the "experienced" one?

I just wish that the question that made poor lil'ole Hillary tear up (without Hillary's spin on it) had been played, and played and played on the news last night and received equal air time to those fake tears we kept seeing.

Saw the woman who asked the question on CNN this morning. She stated the question wasn't about how Hillary was holding up...it was how does she get out of the house every day. (She voted for Obama by the way). Billary's response WAS scripted right out of a soap opera or maybe a fairy tale...the Clintons need to give us a break!!!!

It would be a shame if Bill's tyrade had anything to do with someone changing a vote. It was a sneaky and underhanded tactic since Obama didn't have a chance to get equal air time for a response.

The media needs to report the "whole" story...question and answer...and not give any air time to Slick Willey right before a primary. Obama or any other candidate needs a chance to respond to Hillary and Bill's tag teaming.

I've asked myself the same question over and over again, Jake, and I think I finally have the answer: it's none other than [material redacted for national security].
