Statler and Waldorf

January 17, 2008 9:53 AM

Statler_waldorf_080117_mn One of the most unusual aspects of the GOP debates has been watching Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and former Sen. Fred Thompson, R-Tenn., make each other giggle, especially as they attack former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

If Thompson doesn't do well here in South Carolina Saturday, some are predicting Thompson will drop out of the race, which would mean McCain and Thompson's Statler and Waldorf act wouldn't be part of the next GOP debate.

That wouldn't be good for their growing legions of fans.

I think their "unique" relationship is more akin to that of Dr. Teeth and Animal than Statler and Waldorf.

Looks like they have a special relationship. How Cute.

I'm all for bashing Massachusetts Mitt and all, but its obvious what going on here.

McCain and Freddie (yes that's his Christian name) are teaming up against the Huck. McCain can't take on the Huckster on his own so he's asked 4%Fred to lend a hand.

A vote for Freddie is just another way to vote for McCain. 4%Fred voters that like McCain should just vote for him. 4%Fred voters that don't like McC should look elsewhere.

Nuff said.

Actually I do not think they are working together I think it is more of the fact that Thompson believes that people already know McCain but Huckabee no one really knows and Huckabeeis hiding the truth about himself or maniplulating it with the hel of the press! I think McCain is loving the attacks because he is out of it!

I would support McCain over everyone but Thompson who should be President if McCain would sign a pledge to close the border and enforce our immigration laws and no Amnesty in any form or another!! And also lower taxes even more then Pres Bush! If he signs a pledge to do it and if he fails he guarantees to resign I will vote for him! Oh and also keeps Gitmo open for it to keep the Enemy Combatants there!

But Vote Fred !!!
