Youtube moment catches Huckabeans seeming upset with Ed Rollins
January 11, 2008 2:51 PM
Video of several high-profile members of the Huckabee campaign seemingly venting at campaign chair Ed Rollins has been posted on YouTube by a mysterious source.
The video, shot after Thursday night's GOP debate in Myrtle Beach, SC, seems to show a displeased Janet Huckabee, the wife of former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, pointing at campaign chair Ed Rollins.
The video - shot at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, where the debate was held -- also shows Republican fundraiser and socialite Georgette Mosbacher seeming to express displeasure with Rollins as well.
A quote from the colorful Rollins, architect of Ronald Reagan's 1984 re-election victory, saying that the Reagan Coalition was dead, was cited in the debate and used against Huckabee by former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson.
A previous Rollins quote that he wanted to kick in the teeth of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has also been a distraction on the trail for Huckabee, who likes to project a sunny, faith-based populism.
The Huckabee campaign did not return requests for comment to explain what seemed to at least one witness to be quite a kerfuffle. The witness said Gov. Huckabee himself seemed upset with Rollins, though that occurred out of camera range.

Hmmmer, survival of the fittest is one thing. One can choose to become more fit and thus increase the chances of survival. But evolvement is not a choice. It is a progression that just happens over time and has nothing to do with one's "ability" to survive. Instead it an adaption process, in which a species can survive. So my point is, if the environment was there for primates to evolve why did only some primates evolve?

Was that Huckabee's wife in the puffy shirt? I think I saw that on an episode of Seinfeld...

Are you serious? How can anyone read anything into that clip. That was weak. Are you journalists so starved for scandal that you'll make things up? You're really digging.

DKNY, one must believe that either the entire universe (the billions of stars and planets spanning billions of light years in all directions AND the incredible intricacies of living organisms here on earth) just happened by pure random chance OR that there is divine providence. Then when you calculate the fact that without the earth's specific rotation and revolvement around the sun that life here on earth would be unsustainable, I cannot conceive how pure random chance is a viable theory. To me it would take so much more faith to believe in pure random chance than to believe in God's devine providence. But that's my opinion!

James Danley: I've disagreed with you but I've always found you to be thoughtful and intelligent. That is difficult to reconcile with your view on evolution.

DKNY, 80% of the American electorate (and over 4 Billion people on earth) believe in God and that He created the universe. I personally don't believe in Darwin's Theory of Evolution. (If true why didn't all of the apes evolve into man?) But if evolution did occur then God created the ape and said, "Let him evolve!" The Christian explanation of the Big Bang Theory is: And God said, "Bang!"

Huckabee denies evolution and believes "God" created human beings. He is obviously unwilling or unable to examine facts and reach reasonable conclusions. If he is unwilling or unable to exercise sound judgment on a matter as clear as this one, how can we trust his judgment on anything? Please, Jake, ask him this question.

You gotta be kidding me.
Seriously.
