Bill: I Never Attacked Obama
February 08, 2008 1:43 PM
In an interview with WCSH Channel 6 at Becky's Diner in Portland, Maine, former President Bill Clinton said that he never attacked Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois.
Watch HERE.
Former President Clinton was asked, "Do you have any regrets about the way you have conducted yourself on the campaign trail in the past months...about anything you've said or done?"
"Well, everything I have said has been factually accurate," Clinton said. "But I think the mistake that I made is to think that I was a spouse like any other spouse who could defend his candidate.
"I think I can promote Hillary but not defend her because I was president. I have to let her defend herself or have someone else defend her.
"But, lot of things that were said were factually inaccurate. I did not ever criticize Senator Obama personally in South Carolina. I never criticized him personally...and it was just this myth grew up.
"And I had two African-American members of Congress who were supporting Hillary who were with me the whole time I was there. And they were bewildered, they went on every cable show that would take them to tell they didn't know what the people were talking about.
"But I think whenever I defend her I (a) risk being misquoted and (b) risk being the story....I learned a very valuable lesson from all that dust-up."
The former president also said that he's "not surprised" that the election is so close. "About a year ago I told Hillary…'I think you'll have a difficult time winning the nomination,'" but if she does, she'll go on to win in November.
The Obama campaign disputes the notion that he never attacked Obama, or that his comments were all factually accurate.
Said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton, "I think that the former President's words and the results in South Carolina speak for themselves."

Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Bill: I Never Attacked Obama:
It's good Bill is so supportive of Obama despite his wife running against him. It' shows neutrality and a very deep sense of maturity in Clintons' marriage. I'd thought after S.C., Bill will be placed in some safe house and would have demanded not to have any of Hillary's secret service detail protecting him. Good on you Bill. You are brave if not an idiot.

"....and it was just this myth grew up."
Something a child would say to deflect responsibility. Grotesque from a grown man of his supposed stature. Turn the page and quick.

You think Obama is so perfect? Boy are you in for a rude awakening. And if you fell for Obamas race baiting you were never going to support Senator Clinton is the first place.
Case filed in the Minnesota District
Court (Sinclair vs. Obama)
Plaintiff: Larry Sinclair
Defendant: Barack Obama, David Axelrod and Democratic National Committee
Case Number: 0:2008cv00360
Filed: February 11, 2008
Court: Minnesota District Court
Office: DMN Office [ Court Info ]
County: St. Louis
Judge: Rosenbaum
Larry Sinclair says he had drugs and sex with Obama in 1999. He has tried to get the MSM to tell the story, they won't. So he made a Youtube video. Obama's goons apparently have been turning his life upside down since, and he has filed suit against Obama, his manager Axelrod and the DNC for violation of his civil rights.

President Clinton never said anything racial about Obama. Obama is the one that pulled the race card after he got his backside handed to him in NH. Obama was stunned. Every word the Clitons said Obama and his people jumped on. Shame on him and all that work with him.

People just need to go to the local library and check out just ONE of the MANY books detailing both Clintons! Talk about an eye opener! and they must be true or they would have sued!

Just this morn on the Matthews Show a top News paper lady said, that McCain and Hillary are friends and travel together all the time!So you think either one of this 2 will bring our Soldiers Home, I think not!I Believe in Obama he will usher in a change to this country which we all need! Face it, all. Hillary is slowly, but surely getting toasted by Obama. Bill and Hillary as a sleazy as the day is long and Obama is a totally unknown quantity in many ways. McCain is tempermental and some times out of control. And Huckabee is a religious nut job. Well, if we survived Bush and Cheney, I suppose we can survive the next Rogue's Gallery too.

I think we got a dead heat here....I really don't know who the biggest liars are anymore.....The Clintons or The Bushs!
Either way it goes, we don't need you kind around any longer.....C-Ya!

MICHELLE OBAMA BLATANTLY ATTACKED HILLARY CLINTON FOR SUPPOSEDLY NOT BEING ABLE TO MANAGE HER FAMILY PROPERLY. THIS WAS RUDE AND INAPPROPRIATE - IT WAS A PERSONAL ATTACK. OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN IS FUELLED BY NEGATIVITY, AND OBAMA IS WINNING BY FANNING THE FLAMES OF HATRED AGAINST CLINTON. I LIKE BOTH CLINTON AND OBAMA ENOUGH TO SUPPORT EITHER OF THEM, BUT ITS TIME TO REALIZE THAT OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN IS PRETTY MUCH JUST AS NEGATIVE AS CLINTON'S. OBAMA IS NOT 'ABOVE' NEGATIVE POLITICS. NONE OF THESE CHARACTERS ARE.

Bill, Bill, you did convince that your relations with Monica had nothing to do wtih running the country, which is quite true. However to turn around and deny the inflamatory statements made in South Carolina is just ludicrious. I think the results tonight with Obama crushing Clinton in three states and one territory is showing that Pres. Clinton's attacks are not showing fruit, and he should give it up if he wants his wife to have any chance at all at winning the nomination.

Bill: "I Never Attacked Obama."
That's like: "I never had you-know-what with that woman, Ms. you-know-who and it depends on what your meaning of the word 'is' is."

Of course Bill attacked Obama. We all know that. Pure and simple...he attached the man.

I get sick to my stomach to hear Bill say "I never..." and see him wag that finger! Why would anyone believe him. Billary will do what it takes to get elected and have a proven record of bringing controversy, disgust, disrespect to the White House. I can't believe anyone wants more of that!
I'd love to vote for a woman, but it has to be the RIGHT woman! Hillary brings too much trash and lack of integrity with her.

Hey, Bill, doesn't that depend on what your definition of 'is', oops, I mean 'attack' is?

What are the Clintons hiding in the White House papers that will not be released?
What about your income tax form that the Clintons are hiding?
Posted by: Matt | Feb 9, 2008 1:34:27 PM
How about the $31 million donation from the Kazakhastan miner. First they said it was from multiple people. Only when it was proven did the Clintons admit who it was from.
How about the meeting at the Clinton's home in NY by Kazakhastan leaders to request support in purchasing stock in Westinghouse, who manufactures nuclear materials. This was first denied, and only admitted to when it was proven.
How about the support Bill Clinton gave to Dubai to purchase our ports?
What about the furniture they stole from the White House?
Oh, and the pardons for the Richs, that netted over a million dollar donations to the Foundation.
Posted by: Matt | Feb 9, 2008 1:29:29 PM
What did Bill say that wasn't true? How about calling Obama's stand against Iraq a fairy tale? He's stood against it from day 1, while Hillary has voted for military agendas, sometimes more strongly than Bush.
How about criticizing the press in IA after the press released the Clinton's own press release on kindergate?
How about denying that the Clinton's were playing the race card, when the their own campaign staff said they were.
How about all the surrogate name calling supported by the Clintons? Bill has never come out and criticized that.
How about the the court case to disenfranchise voters that Bill defended?
How about the present vote mailer running around from the Clintons, that doesn't explain that Obama's present votes were really at the urging of Planned Parenthood in support of women's choice?
This is too easy.

President Clinton is very well loved in my country and all over the rest of Africa.
I think he should say less during this campaign because he is likely to shoot himself in th efoot while offering his opponents more and more amunition to destroy his beloved legacy with.
Care must be taken about the amount of damage the Dems may do to themselves during this close race.
They must have a plan.
Obama's actions and words so far show that he has that picture in mind. The Clintons increasingly show that they may feel themselves more important than teh Democratic Party.
Posted by: Taj | Feb 9, 2008 11:52:31 AM
Both Clintons are not able to admit faults or wrong assessments. This actually disqualifies them as leaders. Bill lost his reputation, not because he tried pot, or had intercourse with Lewinsky. His reactions made him unreliable. Sentences like: " I didn't inhale." are ridiculous and put him between dumb-ass and spineless. And then he tried to redefine the concept of "Sexual Relation" - give me a break. This is a kind of "cleverness" and experience I am fed up with.
Posted by: Mike | Feb 9, 2008 11:50:54 AM
Instead of getting all these comments from Bill, I wish one of you spineless reporters asked him why while he, as he claims, opposed the war in Iraq from the start, his wife vote for the resolution titled "authorization for military action in Iraq"?

Please continue to interview Bill more and more... because Bill is the only one that speaks the facts as he stated. He has made it crystal clear what a vote for Hillary would really mean. Hillary is definitely not what Americans need as a President; just like Bush (people were blindfold). Bill will continue to wake people up. If it weren't for Bill in the forefront, I too would have made a big mistake. I thank Bill for promoting his wife campaign and defending her as he stated.

HONESTLY...C'MON AMERICA: YOU DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! YES, BILL CLINTON WAS UNFAITHFUL, BUT THAT PROVES THAT HILLARY IS FORGIVING! I DON'T AGREE THAT BILL SHOULD BE BACKING HER CAMPAIGN BECAUSE HE SO DISLIKED, BUT I DO BELIEVE THAT HUSBAND AND WIFE SHOULD BE UNITED! AND THEY ARE! SHE IS NOT LIKE HIM, IF YOU ARE AT ALL EDUCATED ON THIS 2008 ELECTION YEAR! OBAMA WILL BRING THE WRING KINDA CHANGE, AND IT WILL HIT US ALL LIKE A TON OF BRICKS! AND NO BILL AND HILLARY HAVE NOT BEEN TO WAR, BUT MY BROTHER IS AND IM MORE THAN READY FOR HIM TO BE SAFE! SO DO THE RIGHT THING AND THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!

How can Americans be so stupid? You talk abt Change, Unity, Iraq etc., where the main issues here that need to be addressed are your domestic problems such as firearms, homeless people, drugs and racial problems. Also, listen to the rest of the world where most ppl hates US for what it has become, compared to 2o years ago. The next president should be smart, articulate, and knows how to make the necessary changes needed to put US back as on tract..both domestically and internatinally. So, be smart..no more Bushs and Clintons! Don't be so dumb.. Vote for Obama!

I am a democrat and I would like a democrat becomes the next president.
If the clinton's say something about obama. Obama cries foul. But when obama criticize the Hillary clinton it was ok and she should not cry foul. OBAMA it is politics you know that. You are intelligent man(?) you should know what you signed yourself into. This just primaries, it will get ugly when you will be competing with the republicans. So OBAMA get out now because we do not have time for whinning. We need time for action to resolve our country's problem.
And you haven't really presented substance of your campiagn but CHANGE. Do you know that change is constant? So your campaign is saying you will do change when change happens themselves. So what are you going to do at the white house???????

I'd like to know if people are really serious about this election or are they just writing in to test out their ignorance? If they put as much effort into change like they say, we might just have a part of our world that was not so good lately, restored along with a little faith in ourselves and themselves. One man's word against another or one man's word with the other commenting on it, kept to himself?
Posted by: lukout09 | Feb 9, 2008 4:21:35 AM
I don't think anyone seriously expects that the legions of lifelong Democrats the Clintons have managed to alienate during this campaign are just going to troop obediently into the voting booths to pull the lever for them in November, should Hillary be the nominee. She has no chance against John McCain, and her campaign is leading our party into disaster.

So Billy tries hard to defend himself, it is up to the people to decide, he has pleased "innocence" before and he has the face to accuse BARACK OBAMA of fairy tales?
Only one democratic candidate can overcome McCain and that is BARACK OBAMA - Billy & Hilary The Dynasty are the past not the Future UNITED States of America.

I left a message on the main SC paper blog two days before the Primary telling the people of SC that it was their opportunity to send a strong message to the rest of America that they did not condone the sort of tactics and behavior that the Clinton's were using. I said that if they didn't want to vote for Obama, they should vote for Edwards instead. I've since seen white voters from SC on the blogs saying this is exactly what they had intended with their vote - to send a message of condemnation for the Clinton behavior. Good on SC!

I cant believe this but I am pretty sure Bill is correct. He didn't "personally" attack Obama he did attack the perceptions of Obamas campaign by the media and Obamas campaign. That said the fact remains Bill you are a former president and equally it is the perceptions of the intent of your comments upon which you were judged. A fine line thing. Consider this I like green people but I would never vote for a green person. You didn't say it but that doesn't mean you didn't mean it.

This guy has shown that lying is his stock-in-trade. I'm in no way an Obama supporter, but for Bill Clinton to lie about his Obama attacks is just despicable. Bill and Hilary Clinton are two power hungry morons. Bill's stupid and futile attempts to use legalism (like he did in the Monica Lewinsky fiasco) just makes him look like an idiot and it totally belies his supposedly smart brain.

"I never attacked Obama."
"I never inhaled."
"I never had sexual relations with that woman".
And let's not even get into Bill's definition of the word "is".
Yet another reason we need change.
Obama 2008.

If the role of the youth movement supporting Obama (and other new voters) is downplayed (read, disenfranchized), the very political future of the Democratic party and, beyond that, America will suffer. If the circle of those involved politically shrinks, if those just beginning to consider involvement are made to feel that their voices are irrelevent and are thus polarized towards apathy, the returns we can expect from our elected leadership will similarly decrease...America will go the way of other nation states that failed to garnish the full support of its masses to solve problems and will fall prey to group think and, ultimately, will slide into stagnation then disorder when faced with serious challenges down the road. Obama realizes that no president, no cabinet, nor party can stand alone as the author and implementor of policy...the people also need to be involved in order for America's greatness or even survival to be guaranteed...only then can the crisis of decline be avoided.

I would say that Hillary and Bill Clinton are two of the most important people in the United States today, They are talked about on blogs, the news media covers them, people hate them, people love them some cant make up their mind's about them one way or the other. They have to be two pretty strong people to put up with all this B.S., But for people to personally attack them and come right out and say they hate them just tells me what a mean hateful society we live in. so Bill messd around on Hillary, big deal, how many other President's have done the same, history books can give you a clue. so dont act like Bill Clinton was the only president guilty of it. and as for the jerks on msnbc attacking Chelsie that is as low as the media can get. I have always said, you dont mess with my kids, money,or my cigarette's, and in that order! and I think if I were Bill Clinton that mans head would roll.Or for that matter I would sue the whole damn network.

bop-the reality is neither of them will win the election. that 90% represents a loyal dem base and with the divisive tactics of the clintons, the dems will lose the moderate black dem votes, the youth vote, and the independents. also, hillary will ignite the repub base. we are wasting our time with these primaries b/c the writing is on the wall.

Not to worry.
There are lots of public/private initiatives that come to mind that a Bill Clinton restored to the White House could participate in, some of which the ex-president could conduct from the comfort of the Lincoln bedroom.
Consider these:
1) Special envoy to Fidel's Gulag to end U.S. embargo on Cuban cigars.
2) Commissioner of Women's Softball League
3) National spokesperson for adolescent campaign for sexual abstinence.
4) Head of the Motion Picture Association (with lots of unpublicized trips to Hollywood, and foreign film colonies--nothing like private diplomacy, I always say).
5) Head of the U.S. Office of Public Integrity.
6) Chief, White House intern program.
7) Special advisor, Congressional intern program.
8) Co-Chair, with Clarence Thomas and Larry Craig, of blue-ribbon National Commission for the Rights of High-Minded but Misunderstood Public Servants.
9) Washington-based Rove-ing correspondent, Hustler magazine.
The list goes on ...

This war was wrong from the beginning. Hillary should have known. French and German, even British intelligence didn't find any signs of WMD. There was an international Investigation carried out, without findings. Hillary (and Bill) should have cared. And now, this war can't be won. Especially without a goal. Actually there is no war. Wars are fought against countries and their armies. This is not a war, it's s political and humane crisis. 4,000 US soldiers killed 1 million Iraqis died, $500 Billion spent on US. side - after all, a really great success.

HILLARY CLINTON’S 35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE BS: The first 15 years she spent in “public service” she worked for the biggest law firm in Little Rock, Arkansas. Her goal then: make as much money as possible, ethics be damned. Almost forgot her stint working in Goldwater’s campaign for president. Then there was White Water, Travelgate Vincent Foster, et al. Then there was her job working at Wal-Mart where she did an outstanding job of fighting off the workers attempts to organize a union for collective bargain. Then she took the DC Bar exam which she failed twice. By then, she was fighting against the “Vast right-wing conspiracy. The stealing of White House belongings. Yea she gave them back - only because she was caught.
The most extensive experience this woman has is serving tea to foreign dignitaries. Bottom line: This woman has no ethics. She has a lot of class - but it’s all low.

Obama has enjoyed the benefit of being new and being young from day of this election. He is so fragile that no body can criticize him. He is not touchable. Whenever he was criticized, no matter right or wrong, He appeared as he was hurt badly and someone else will defense him. If he face the Republicans, they are no going to be so nice! If you want to be a president, be a man! Defense yourself!

Republicans are so afraid of Hillary. That is why they are pushing for Obama. Don't be fooled Dems. They did it to you in the last two elections.
Posted by: Kelly | Feb 8, 2008 7:32:53 PM
It's too bad the Democrats can't get an early start on unifying like the Republicans have, with Mitt getting out in order to give the Repubs the jump on smearing and swiftboating and fear-war-mongering. I hope the Dems aren't stupid enough to be fighting clear into April or May and splitting the party which will weaken the party with hard feelings. Meanwhile the Republicans, already underway under Juan Potato-cheek-Captain-Amnesty-Mac-The-Knife-in-the-back McCain are already gearing up the Republican swiftboating, smearing, war-mongering machine and they'll use it to beat up on the Demmocrats while the Dems sit passively by and take it on the chin with no vigorous rebuttal-response. This is the same mistake John Kerry made: Letting character and patriotism smears and charges of "surrender monkey" stick instead of vigorously answering them and fighting the slurs. As a consequence, the slurs and strawmen-stereotyping of Kerry stuck in the public mind, even though disproven with hard evidence. From then on, through the election of 2004, John Kerry wore the label 'flip flopper' and 'war coward'. Whoever attacks first, dirtiest and most often tends to win elections. The Republicans have had great success with such quick, dirty, sloganeering and repetitive smears and the Democrats have lost two elections because they didn't stand up and because they were scared to say anything 'not nice' for fear they might be disapproved of. The right-wing news media are only too happy to harp on Demcocrat flaws but they pass over Republican ones. So the stereotyping quickly takes hold if not given back in force and in kind. The Dems had better unify themselves right now and stand up to the Republican attack machine that is soon coming, or they will put a George W. Bush clone John McCain) into the White House. Can you imagine 4 to 8 more years of failure, deterioration, banktuptcy, recession, quagmire-war and neglect of economic-social problems such as we've had for these last 8 years under President Bush? Can you IMAGINE? Any more Democrat passivity and the Republicans will continue their destruction of the USA. And we may not get a second chance to recover. Dems better wake up, or they will again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

While Obama and his supporters chant for "Change". Hilary constantly speaks of her "35 years of experience" that make her qualified for president. She spends so much time being specific as to how many years shes experienced, rather than being more specific of WHAT exactly she has done in those 35 years. Her marriage to Bill and everything that has occured during their marriage over the years is more obvious than her "years of experience".

Here's the truth (something the Clintons have no knowledge of):
If Obama is the D candidate, he can beat McCain. If Hillary is the candidate, Republicans will come out of the woodwork to vote against. Doesn't matter who the R candidate is, they will do their damndest to keep another Clinton out of the White House.
She's bad for this country. And a sure loss for the Democratic party.

It depends what your definition of 'never' is.
C'mon, Bill.

Uh, oh, Bill's giving off the cuff interviews to reporters again. They were truing to muzzle him and it worked for a while. But he won't shut up and mark my words he is going to sabotage his wife's campaign again. But I think he thinks it's really his campaign.

He never attacked Obama ? I saw a news clip with my own eyes in which he whined that Obama "was doing a hit job on me."
I am so sick of the Clintons and their little games. They are losing and they know it. Time to put them to rest.
Obama needs to step up to the plate and get more publicity.

Obama cultists bristle anytime the Annointed One is criticized and incovenient facts are pointed out about him, for he is next to Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit in their eyes.

Obama won nothing on Super Tuesday but RED States. Think about what Democratic voters in those states are like, usually leftist Sandanistas. Hillary lost CT. Remember that CT Dems voted Joe Lieberman out of their party and lost anyway with Ned Lamont; the guy who was gonna bring change. BHO won his senate seat in an open race against Alan Keyes. My dog can beat Alan Keyes in an open race. HRC did better against him in the states he won, than he did against her in the states she won. Do the math. He can't win a general election. McCain and the right will make Swiss cheese out of him. You Clinton-haters deserve what you get - Obama '08 and Romney in '12. He'll be the worst President from our party since Carter, and we'll get banished to the political hinterland by the Republicans yet again.
And what change is he talking about? How has he proven that in the past? You can turn it around on Hillary all you want, but I seriously want to know where Barack has effectuated any serious change in anything he has done. Where's the proverbial beef.

How many times has Hillary Clinton, or Bill Clinton been to war?

Hilary once said, "The American people are tired of liars and people who pretend to be something they're not". Which is exactly why she needs to leave her husband out the campaign. By the way I have no respect for a woman who lets a man cheat on her. What kind of example does that set for her daughter, and other women. I dont understand how some women can look up to her. Hilary also said, "Probably my worst quality is that I get very passionate about what I think is right". She's exactly right, thats her worst quality. I guess she feels very passionate about standing behind a lying husband who has absolutely no respect for her. Her husband was a terrible role model, and she seems to be the same. No wonder their married to each other.

> Let’s talk about two people who we already know to be crooks, Bill and Hillary Clinton? Let us revisit Whitewater, Travelgate, Webster Hubbell, Vincent Foster, Gennifer Flowers, Monica Lewinsky, and Paula Jones.
Oh Jeez, here we go. Ken Starr spent how many millions of taxpayers' dollars investigating Whitewater, a real estate deal that the Clintons LOST money on and the only thing he wound up getting was a sex case. Disgraceful.
It's amazing all the things you guys accuse the Clintons of doing, what with being so busy killing off Vince Foster, drug running, having lesbian affairs and whatever else the rightwing smear e-mails claim.
> Come on people help me paste this everywhere!
There's a sure sign of a quality post. Some rightwing hick named Rebecca gets this in her e-mail and she's posting it everywhere uncritically. No thanks, grow a brain.

This is the problem with Obama and his supporters. It is a step backwards voting for him, to the days when it is not possible to comment on what the views, opinions, deeds of a black man are - or risk being labeled racists or something close. Yet check the voters behind Obam's victories and you see almost 90% black people - simply because the candidate is black. Meanwhile him and his supporters are spewing hatred-filled accusations towards the Clintons and Hillary in particular, with impunity. Reading and listening to what the Obama crowds say, you understand who they are suporting Obama. Those unwilling to consider impartially capabilities or policies of the candidates but rather take this airy-fairy demeanour, parroting the word 'change'. As if this can simply happen the more they mention it. When the slogan time ends and the time comes for the recession hit USA to move forwards, we will need someone able to work hard and who has clear policies in place. And undeniably, this person is Hillary Clinton. But I guess it is too hard a thought for the Obama crowds. They will go on willingly parroting their vague slogans spurred on by the fawning media on Obama as if he is the coming Messiah. Meanwhile He rants about the Washington establishment and guess what, he glowers when the endorsements come his way. The Kennedys are a prime example. Who more establishment figures, eh? Now even Kennedy, the dinosaur Washington pundit, is parroting the word change! Give us a break. After Bush, voting for Obama is akin to saying that being president of the USA is all a joke.

it depends on what your definition of "is" is, just like Hillary didn't think she was voting for war and couldn't know that GWB was obsessed with Iraq . . . depends on what your definition of "Iraq" is, and your definition of "war," and your definition of definition.

It is no wonder why most Asians voted for Clinton. The group of Asians that i know do not know how to speak English, so the press could not influence their vote.
Most middle-age Asians recognize the character of a person just by looking at them. Most Americans know, too, but they have to show a lot outside before they can recognize. They can not see the hidden one (for example,in movies, in the beginning, everybody can infer who the villain is going to be at the end.
So far, i score the last four Presidents as almost 95% right.
Here is how i rate the current top candidates and their spouses for caring and compassion: Out of the ten:
Obama=2. Spouse=-8.
McCain=4. Spouse=3.
Clinton=8 Spouse=6.

Yep and he never had sex with that woman...right Bill. It depends on the definition of truth, right?

I used to think that the problem with a two party system had everything to do with the Republican's distorting a few key issues in order to scoop up a variety of fairly different voting groups. Once in power, the Republican's conveniently forgot about the promises made to their constituents.
Now I see the problem rests on the shoulders of -both- parties, and I can appreciate why so many Progressives headed for the hills when the Boomer/Counter Culture left wanted to pursue the politics of the individual, which ultimately became the politics of a few special interests who refused to compromise over petty squabbling.
If the Democratic party wants to be the party of the Clintons and the handful of disgruntled groups they're able to organize, so be it. Those of us who have come into the recent primary race without the lifelong tie to the Party will make a mass exodus come November and meet up with some ex-Republicans, where we'll try to build a foundation that works, rather than one that panders. And that's the coalition, along with the Republicans, that is going to elect McCain.

A careful reading of Bill's statements showed he never attacked Obama. He did talk about his utter lack of experience and no record to stand on. I, myself, have suggested Obama spend 12 more years in the U.S. Senate to gain the necessary experience and establish a record that he can put before the American people. So, Bill spoke the truth and never attacked his character.

Yeah, and he was "against this war from the beginning" as well. What a lowlife.

If Obama is elected President, he will take office with as much, or more, experience as an elected official than any other president in the past 30 years - more than Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush; the same as George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton; and significantly more than Hillary Clinton. He will have had more years as elected official in Washington than either Bill Clinton or Ronald Reagan did before they became President.
In the short time he has been in the U.S. Senate, he has sponsored or co-sponsored:
The Lobbying and Ethics Reform Act of 2007, which reduces the influence of special interest groups.
The Government Transparency Act of 2006, so that the American public can see exactly what their politicians are up to and hold them accountable.
These are the kind of radical changes in the way our government operates that he speaks about now and will continue making when he is President. He will bring our government back to the American people, where it belongs.
The Lugar-Obama Nuclear on-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, which will have a profound effect on our national security.
In 2002, in the middle of his campaign for a seat in the Senate, he spoke out loudly against invading Iraq even though it could have cost him the election. He said,
""I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaeda."
And he was right.
He is better qualified to handle the foreign affairs of this country than any of the remaining candidates and, given Senator Clinton's management of her campaign finances, he is probably better qualified to handle our economy as well.
Finally, I don't think Obama's ability to bring together so many people who have never before been involved in politics should be dismissed as irrelevant. After all, we've got some tough times ahead of us trying to solve all the problems we're facing now. And people are more willing to make short term sacrifices for a leader who has their enthusiastic support.

Let’s talk about two people who we already know to be crooks, Bill and Hillary Clinton? Let us revisit Whitewater, Travelgate, Webster Hubbell, Vincent Foster, Gennifer Flowers, Monica Lewinsky, and Paula Jones. Hillary chose to look the other way while on the board of directors at Wal-Mart while as they crushed the workers unions, did nothing for women, and watched as Wal-Mart run afoul of child labor laws. Her husband's only explanation is that there was no big union movement in AK that she was the only woman, and so there was nothing she could do to change Wal-Mart’s policies on any of those issues.
It shows Hillary Clinton's lack of character and judgment, as it only takes one person to take a stand on an issue, despite the fact that it was unpopular with the rest of the board. Also, with her vote on the war, she took the words of George W. Bush instead taking the time to read the national intelligence estimates for herself....another case of her lack of judgment. And let us not forgot about the fundraising in the Buddhist Temples, the renting out of the Lincoln and Washington Bedrooms, and being in bed with Japanese spies. Not to mention, we, the taxpayers still want to know what the Clintons did with the pieces of furniture and works of art that were taken from the Whitehouse in January of 2001.
Come on people help me paste this everywhere!
