Coulter: I Will Vote for Hillary Over McCain
February 01, 2008 10:38 AM
In case you missed it, on Hannity & Colmes last night, controversial pundit Ann Coulter -- who supports Mitt Romney for president -- said she would back Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, over Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.
"She's more conservative that he is," she said. "She will be stronger on the war on terrorism...I will campaign for her if it's McCain."
Watch it HERE.
There might be a few issues where McCain and Clinton hold the same position -- campaign finance reform, immigration reform, global warming, the patients' bill of rights.
And for that reason, many conservatives loathe McCain -- as we covered last night on World News. (Read it HERE, watch it HERE.)
Coulter says McCain has been more liberal than Clinton on the interrogation of detainees at Guantanamo because he has made an issue of it and she's hasn't, really. (Of course, he was tortured as a prisoner of war.)
Factually, it's a ludicrous claim. On judges, abortion, same sex marriage, taxes, health care, the war in Iraq, and on and on…he's demonstrably more conservative.
Clinton's 2006 vote ratings from liberal groups: Americans for Democratic Action - 95%; ACLU - 83%; League of Conservation Voters - 71%.
Her 2006 ratings from conservative groups: National Taxpayers Union - 17%; Americans Conservative Union - 6%; Club for Growth - 8%; Family Research Council - 0%.
McCain's liberal group ratings: ADA - 15%; ACLU - 33%; LCV - 29%.
And conservative group: NTU - 88%; ACU - 65%; CFG - 76%; FRC - 62%.
It's silliness to pretend otherwise.
But it does get at how much blind rage against McCain drives some of these conservative commentators.

McCain is not the bleeding heart liberal people try to convince us he is.
As stated above "On judges, abortion, same sex marriage, taxes, health care, the war in Iraq, and on and on…he's demonstrably more conservative."
He is a conservative...and it is not only because of his religious beliefs. The man is our best bet to beat Clinton or Obama. The "conservative" Republicans claiming they will vote for Obama over Mcain...they are the problem. Obama and Hilary will turn this country upside down. McCain will get us out of Iraq...properly. He will appoint strict conservatives and will continue to help our country prosper.
People need to research the TRUE beliefs of a candidate before making outlandish comments that they would vote for a liberal instead of McCain. Think before you waste your vote people.

Rush Limbaugh has become politikally irrevelant. He's too disconnected from the average man. You got to get out of the limo every once in while or you'll be listening to the dead dial tone of the politikally disconnected. Rush is a Hollywood Star, a politikal entertainer and like all Hollywood stars "We'll see on the way up and we'll see you on the way down." M.F. Rush road the edge of populism until the point were his own opinion mattered more then the average joe. It's very similiar to Ann Coulter, who is revealing her true colors this week. She's a New York liberal and always has been. A real Republican would never ever vote for a Democrat and that's a fact that everybody understands. She played "the right" to sell books and this is very well understood within the entertainment community. And why not? It worked, but now she's come back around again to real her true inner self. They are Politikal Entertainers one and all.

Andrew, your comment about wishing Schwarzneggar could run as runnin gmate shows how you would prefer to undermine the constitution if you could. No wonder you like McCain. Just go ahead, be honest and call yourself an indepedent-that's fine. You're obviously no conservative!

I don't know ifI'd go that far...don't think i could ever vote for Hillary but I will not vote for McCain if he's elected for the GOP as is true for many conservatives. The issue is, that as much as many don't trust or like the Clintons, we more don't want to see the GOP lose its footing. I know that if Obama win the Dem nomination, I will vote for him over McCain in a heart beat. O may be liberal but he is true to his party in that sense and personally is n honurable man who doesn't engage in the kind of underhanded divisive politics of the past like McCain and Clinton.

Ann Coulter may be voting for Hillary but she is having Obama's love child.

I hope Ann Coulter keeps her word and does vote and campaign for Hillary because Ann Coulter is a complete wack job. And in this day in age it is so important that all the wack jobs of the world march to the beat of a single drummer.

You are Judged by The Friends You Keep.
I challenge any of the mainstream media to investigate this and see if this is true. We need to know for sure. (Colonel Ray)
Obama's link to Saddam Hussein exposed by London Times today, no wonder he was against the war! Today the Times of London discovered: "Mr Obama’s long-serving bagman Antoin “Tony” Rezko, a Syrian immigrant to the United States, has been linked to Nadhmi Auchi, the Iraqi-born billionaire who is one of Britain’s richest men. The relationship is a potential embarrassment for Mr Obama, who has made his opposition to the Iraq war a central plank of his campaign. Court papers describe Mr Rezko as a close friend of Mr Auchi. The Times has, however, discovered state documents in Illinois recording that Fintrade Services, a Panamanian company, lent money to Mr Obama’s fundraiser in May 2005. Fintrade’s directors include Ibtisam Auchi, the name of Mr Auchi’s wife."For you who do not know, Nadhmi Auchi is an Iraqi with deep ties to Saddam Hussein and made billions off him! Was also co-chair of the of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University between 1996 and 2000 and is a wanted fugitive in France! The trail of the newly crowned Prince of Camelot is beginning to really become more open! No wonder Obama was against the war in Iraq and people complain about the Clinton's being involved in bad things, this is beyond bad!! See what not knowing a stump speecher without substance hides? Hope this is further investigated by American reporters!

Coulter, Hannity and Limbaugh appear to be Braindead when it comes to their
outright hatred of John McCain!
Do they not know that their "Hero",
Mitt Romney said while running for
Governor of Massachusetts that he would be more pro-gay rights that
Teddy Kennedy?
Do they not know that Romney proposed, pushed for and passed the current
Healthcare law in Massachusetts which is almost a carbon copy of Hillary Clinton's plan, including mandatory
participation?
What about his very recent conversion to
a pro-life position?
Romney is no Conservative, he is a flip-flopper!
Whereas McCain has an 85% Conservative voting record!

Ann Coulter is hopefully the last of her kind. We need a FISCAL Republican in office. To hell with wasting resources on social conservatism. I don't care about other's moralit... and in America, that shouldn't even be an issue. This country needs to be run like a business... Fiscal responsibilty, and all the things someone like Coulter would not understand...

Here's a message for Ann Coulter and the other far right members of
my Republican Party:
If John McCain is our nominee and you either stay home or vote for Hillary or Barack, and either Democrat is elected,
I will Not Vote Republican Again in
My Lifetime! Ideaology does not win elections, pragmatism does!
Stop acting like little children.
Ann, if you can't support the Republican nominee, leave the party!

Huchabee is there for one reason only. To take away from Romney. He will be around atleast through Super Tuesday ... or best candidates had to step away from the Bar ... $7 million is a lot of money for a working man trying to do what is right. Please remember to add your voice in early ... your few dollars will always help a candidate of choice to stay in there. Nobody is donating room and board for the candidates. Yes, they need to earn their money like a traveling salesman. Maybe that is what is wrong with our election process. Qualified Judges need to be appointed, In Texas they have to beg for money from their fellow lawyers to run for office. Burning bridges is a bad thing so what's a Judge going to do? A fair trial needs a blind system ... is it possible under this style of running for offices. Getting your money from the criminals would be tough as well. What's a good Judg going to do?

The most dangerous of all the candidates is McCain. He has this fixed mentality and we all know what a man with a fixed mentality can do to our country. McCain will be 4X Bush, and will do a great harm to this country, to the world. He is as dangerous as another man whose name I don't mention here.. Good luck for those of you who will vote for him. Then you will regret your vote 4X

Ann is left with the knowledge that you have Free-Will and choices to make. It is no longer a Party issue when you get to the General election. But the electorial college will determine this phase of our election process. You also need to look at the Vice-president as well, once we enter into the General election.
John Cornyn, John McCain, John Sununu, and others have backed away from their Party's choices many times when voting. In 2005 the above mentioned went against everything for some reason. We need to keep an eye on their votes. I believed it says a lot about the candidate. Look at the record of Corbin Van Arsdale. This Congressman voted for special taxes to be placed on his constituents ... now denies his own voting record.
Kay Bailey Hutchison is just as guilty but then when I looked at the Bill in it's entirety ... She is number 1 in my book. She was proactive against something that later became a bad legislation. Change does need to take place ... but it still needs to be By the people and For the people. When our Congressman forget about who they should be listening to ... they need to help us understand the real problem or they need to GO!

Talk about desparate Neocons, threatening to vote for Hillary if their boy Romney loses!
For the record, Bush supported McCains immigration bill and Reagan initiated and signed the `86 Amnesty bill for illegals, so it is obvious that the Neocons are simply against McCain because he is a normal Republican.

Yeah, I'm not so sure on McCain either. I'm kinda leaning toward Ron Paul at the moment. I found this his son's video on youtube and talks about in detail Ron Paul's views on everything. EXTREMELY helpful in finding out what he's all about... I hope everyone finds a candidate they agree with!

Ann Coulter has a long and proud history of being an outspoken psycho and this last ranting session is no exception.

If Obama wins the nomination, Coulter wouldn't have to campaign for him. He'd wipe the floor with McCain all on his own and show him what an American hero in 2008 looks like!
"This is about the past versus the future"
Obama already got my California vote!!

She needs the attention ,not unlike some terrier, hoarse from yapping at passers by.Next event scheduled is the book signing at the dollar store...

I'm with Coulter.
If Romney doesn't beat McCain, I'm afraid I'll have to place a Hillary Clinton banner on my blog.
Please Romney... don't make it come down to that, I'm begging you!
P.S. McCain... don't even think you're getting my vote.
