Is Barack Obama the Messiah?
February 10, 2008 1:58 PM
A website dedicated to the phenomenon raises the question, complete with testimony from converts and photographic evidence of his works.
"My job is to be so persuasive that if there's anybody left out there who is still not sure whether they will vote, or is still not clear who they will vote for, that a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany," said Obama in New Hampshire , "and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Obama."

Stop bashing my hero Obama.
He's the wisest, kindest and like coolest.
(Vote for me as VP, too, ok?)

It may be helpful if before making comments about someone's joke or someone's non factual response one would do some research on this here great internet rather than babbling mindless response.
Obama is a normal human being like all of us. He did work hard to get where he is and I am sure he did not spemd most of his time on the computer in mindless pursuits.
Go out in to the world and make changes yourself in your commnunity.
A leader may help but to be part of the solution we must stop being part of the problem. The changes will come from us not the elected president, he will do his part,we must do our part. We must demand the changes after becoming educated about the cause we seek to fight for and laways remember the constitution must be defended in this days and Barack Obama was teaching constitutional law, he is the most qualified to protect our freedom.

When Obama first became famous, the perceptive Peggy Noonan (once Ronald Reagan's speechwriter) issued a warning.
She described America's last decade as "the long freakout", during which parties chose presidential candidates because they could win, on appearance rather than reality.
The result was repeated pain. Clinton appalled half the country, George W. Bush enraged the other half.
Obama's "sudden rise and wild popularity", she said, "seem more symptom than solution".

And as one veteran of Chicago black politics said to me wistfully: "He is a smart, talented and handsome person, but I am not sure which of those matters most to the American people."
That is not what he really meant. He knew perfectly well that it was the camera's power to make Obama shimmer and glow that makes him so important.
And yet a better person might look terrible and sound worse.
How long can the great democracies survive in the face of television's ability to make some of us look like gods when we are not?
Those who now laud him will probably be flinging abuse at him within two years of his election, and heaven knows how he will be able to continue to be the good family man he is, or walk round to the Hyde Park Hair salon for a trim and a chat with Zariff.
By becoming President he will instantly cease to be what everyone wants him to be.
But by then, of course, it will be too late.

I have heard Barack Obama say that three times in his stump speech. He says it with a grain of salt-- he laughs as he says it. Jake, you are taking his comments out of context.

This blog is getting as desperate as Billary's campaign.
Posted by: Christian | Feb 10, 2008 7:47:44 PM
If he was the messiah would he have voted 3 times against the Illinois Bill to protect children born alive after an abortion and why won't his campaign comment on it?
And he killed the bill once when Committee leader.
Funny how when it got to the federal levels though the even big Pro Choicers like Kennedy and Clinton voted for it for it did not infringe on Roe vs. wade, the Illinios Bill was the exact same bill. He should be called on this one, since the media does not call him on much.

Is the job of this blog to inform, or just to post controversial and inflammatory comments in order to draw out those of us in this society who can't help but to spread vitriol and bitterness? I'm just curious, Jake.

The Hillary Clinton Accountability Project will shortly launch its fundraising drive to raise $500,000 to support the most important citizen’s legal initiative of 2008. The landmark civil fraud suit of Paul vs. Clinton et al which the California Supreme Court ordered to proceed against the Clintons, Grammys Producer Gary Smith and Clinton agent Jim Levin, will be set for trial and a discovery schedule at a special conference to be held in Los Angeles Superior Court on February 21, 2008.
The first law suit in American history to bring a President and a Senator to court for defrauding the Senator’s largest campaign donor and his public company will be set for trial and discovery at the Case Management Conference before Judge Munoz. Discovery and depositions of key witnesses, including the Clinton family, Al Gore, Ed Rendell, Terry McAuliffe, Harold Ickes, Howard Wolfson, Kelly Craighead, Barbara Streisand, Brad Pitt, Larry King, Mike Wallace among an array of political and entertainment leaders, will present an inside look at a culture of corruption that will shock the public.
The history and significance of this lawsuit is featured in the internet phenomenon - documentary Hillary Uncensored and in the court filings posted on the Hillary Clinton Accountability Project web site.
Because the expenses of discovery and trial preparation will be extraordinary as the efforts to expose wrongdoing by the Clinton hierarchy of the Democratic is fought desperately by the Clinton Washington pit bull legal team, they require the continued support of the tens of thousands of concerned citizens around the nation that have supported it since 2001 and all those Americans who are newly introduced to the biggest political scandal since Watergate.
Paul vs. Clinton has become and will be the first civil lawsuit to produce sworn testimony and evidence of the systemic corruption that the Clintons have infused into the Democratic Party and all branches of the federal government. Given the necessary resources and legal talent to use the legal tools now available, the illegalities directed by Hillary Clinton to win and keep her Senate seat will be irrefutable!
Contributions to support this case are being accepted online by the Hillary Clinton Accountability Project and questions or feedback may be directed by email to admin@ejaf.us.

Cynthia,
Apparently he performs miracles, after all he is the Mesiah, the Annointed One by Oprah.

Dude, it was a joke to lighten the mood. Of course Obama wasn't serious. Yes he wants votes, but he doesn't really believe he's the messiah. Tapper, how can you honestly insinuate that his statements were serious? Have you lost your own sense of humor?

Apparently Khaleel Ahmed who donated to Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.)'s campaign in 2004 is the same Khaleel Ahmed who was arrested in February 2007 with his cousin on terrorism charges.
Just google it, you will see it.

Peter,
I've become a political news junkie. This was the funniest thing that I have heard during this whole election. Thanks, so much. I still want to know why it was there and now it's not. That was weird.
Maybe the Messiah removed it.

I saw the website and thought it was hysterical..and if some of Obama's (female) supporters really think he's the messiah, they should visit a shrink.
