That "YES WE CAN" Video
February 03, 2008 11:35 AM
You've got to watch THIS, I've never seen anything like it.
It's a Barack Obama speech accompanied by celebrities singing Obama's words as he delivers the speech he gave after his losing New Hampshire.
Some of the faces you will recognize, others maybe not. There's Scarlett Johansson, Herbie Hancock, Kate "Private Practice" Walsh, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Dartmouth grad Aisha Tyler, John Legend, Adam "CSI: Miami" Rodriquez, Kelly Hu, Amber Valletta (the dead woman from "What Lies Beneath"), Nick Cannon, Tatyani Ali, Eric "Six Feet Under" Balfour, Nicole Scherzinger...Harold Perrineau from LOST....
Read more about it HERE.

YES WE CAN.....still vote how we want and vote Hillary Rodham Clinton into the Presidency in 2008 and stop the media from trying to get us to vote OTHERWISE !!!!!

Jake Tapper and this whole abc politics website is so BIASED. Look at the front of politics and count all the pro-obama stories against everything about Hillary that is negative.

I agree with you, Jim-----they ARE deleting and not showing what they do not agree with. At first I thought the reason some of my posts were deleted or not posted was because some of my posts possibly violated the the "blog rules". But no, there have been very, very maliciously hateful blogs left on blog spots. And my analytical but respectful blogs have been deleted.
It is a very sad and scary day in America when we utilize freedom of speech, and then have it taken away by the very vehicle that is supposed to bring us the nation's news in a fair and impartial way. And we KNOW it is happening---and it is not just this media outlet-----it is others. Take notice that this is happening, people from other countries. America is having it's "free speech" twisted and shaped by journalists who control the stories, for their own adjenda. America will never be the same again after this election, no matter WHOM is elected.......

Dear Karen Ward who posted below, I NEVER mentioned that Obama is a semi-Muslim. My post was PRO-OBAMA. It was 8maccabees below me who mentioned that.
I, like anyone who has half a brain, knows that Obama is a dedicated Christian, and has been praising Jesus for decades.

Great video. This is America and artists are allowed to make videos. Barack Obama wasn't involved in this and didn't even know about it. Some people need to lighten up.

This is one of the most creative videos I've ever seen...it'a an art piece. Too bad some people continue to resist the good they see right in front of them. His speech was inspirational, whether you want him to win or not, the facts are it inspired will.i.am and Jesse Dylan, along with other creatives to take Obama's actual words in his speech to create a montage of visuals to help us hear his words. This was his concession speech after the New Hampshire loss. I think We Should!

I live in Canada. And laugh everytime I think of American Politics. Its become a cheerleading event. We here in Canada use to look up to United States. Obama would never stood a chance in Canada. We would of looked at his record and seen he was prone to corruption. We don't run cheerleading contest here.

Whats wrong with a little inspiration? If Obama can get people excited about making this a better nation- more power to him

Obama is running for president of Mexico next. He wants to give illegal aliens drivers license. Obama will do or say anything to get votes all the while lying to us and ruining the American base.

More cheerleading from Tapper and ABC.. what a shocker.
Hey guys, this isn't america idol, this is the president.. slightly more important.
No wonder this country is going to hell in a handbasket.

I'm just wondering when ABC "News" is going to make it clear on this blog that they are editing and deleting comments that they don't like. Is this CCTV in China? All you have to do is post a notice above the comment section stating clearly that you edit/delete comments that you don't like.
Watch this get deleted now.

Cat Scratch mentions Obama being a semi-muslim. My guestion is "What is a semi-muslim? Obama states he is a Christian, so what's the problem. There is too much prejudice in this country. Americans need to educate themselves on religion and other histroical facts which in the final analysis may change their minds about being the superior ones. To be successful political in order to move this country forward, collective cooperation is necessary.

It is pathetic if the American public can not pick a president on issues. It seems to me that this video shows that the public can be influenced by celebrities. They are all very insilated and wealthy. They know no nothing about averaage citizens. I don't care if they came from humble beginnings they are out of the main stream. If anyone votes for Obama on the strength of a celebrity, they are ignorant.

I love how his campaign didn't organize it, and these celebrities were inspired enough to come together to do this independently. Given the short notice, it's particularly impressive how it was done, especially with everyone's busy schedules.
No other candidate could possibly inspire something like this.
I think this is particularly telling of how Obama motivates people into action instead of perpetuating the usual mindset of Americans who sit lazily on their behinds complaining or clapping, while expecting politicians to do all the work. As a nation, by getting personally involved and working towards goals together, we can achieve so much more. We need a President who can inspire such involvement, such initiative and such desire to do something great for the country. It's not all pretty words and speeches when we are inspired to actually TAKE ACTION.
The other candidates inspire nothing but lethargy and lack of vision.
OBAMA 08

What bothers me about Obama is that he doesn't talk about his plans and how he's going to change things in his speeches. He's a very inspirational speaker who reminds me of a preacher & sales man in one. He talks about hope and change and says yes we can but where's the beef, that's not a plan to make the economy stronger or health care affordable or protect this country from attacks. To me he's more of a talker trying to sell snake oil. IMO voting for him would be too much of a gamble and this video did nothing for me, I don't see a reason why it will be worth voting for him other than having more kumbayah moments, do we really think the terrorist or anyone will be will to sit down sing kumbayah and all is forgiven because yes we can, even writing this doesn't make sense to me. I think Obama need to talk more about plans and projections and give us something more to think about.
