Carville Equates Richardson With Judas
March 22, 2008 10:58 AM
In the New York Times today, Clintonista James Carville calls Bill Richardson's endorsement of Obama "an act of betrayal."
“Mr. Richardson’s endorsement came right around the anniversary of the day when Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver, so I think the timing is appropriate, if ironic,” Carville said.
So in Mr. Carville's view on this Easter weeend, Richardson is Judas Iscariot, Obama is Caiaphas, and Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, is .....?

In response to Patricia:
You make get the change you are asking for if Obama get's to be President, but, it may not be the you hope for, all you will be geting is just another usual politician with a lot of mouth and no action, but his speeches will keep you in line if you start to find out what Obama is really all about, he sound good to you do he? well everything that's sounds or looks good is not always good for you in the longe-term, and you will find that out more and more about Obama in due season.

In Response To Josh:
I'm a Young Black American who is not supporting Obama, I don't trust him, and if he get's the nomination, I still want vote him, I can't rally behind a candidate I don't have no faith or trust in, well, the party will just have to stay divided, I hope other people especially Hillary supporter's follow my lead and stay home or vote for an Independent candidate if either candidate is not worthy of the Presidency, and if McCain get's to be President so be it, I know I'm not voting Republican under any circumstances, they are the cause of allowing Bush to mess this country up for the last 8yrs.
Obama is not the right Black man to be our President, and Josh you're going to find this out when it's too late to do something about it, Obama is running a game on us young people who some has voted for the first time in there lives and this a real shame.
If Obama becomes our nominee, we may as well let Bush turn the keys over to McCain, because he will be our next President, the Republican swiftboat machine is going to politically eat Obama alive, like I said in earlier blogs, more negative things are going to come out about Obama and it's not going to be pretty, the people who still insist on voting for this man who just cam eon the scene preaching hope and change is going to be very sorry they did.
And if Hillary is found out for sure that she's purposely padding her resume to get the nomination, I will not be supporting her either, I'm for right here, I will not vote for a candidate who's carrying around a lot of dirty laundry, and I hope you and other Obama supporters feel the same way I do about your candidate, don't keep supporting this man as well if more negative things come out about him, that's what you call having moral integrity, dignity, and honesty.

no candidate will win with only the white vote. Numbers don't lie, bottom line, Hillary is behind in popular vote and pledged delegates. She has to win by 20 percent in Penn. to even still have a shot. Even then, she still will have a slim to none margin of getting the nomination. It is fine if people who support Hillary won't vote for Obama, because they are more likely fair weather supporters who will flip over to the republicans side when the going gets tough anyway. Also, Obama doesn't support the way now, and he has been opposed to it for longer than Hill. I would be much more willing to support Hillary if she would at least say in public that she made a mistake instead of attributing her voting "error" to lack of information. She is not very accountable and she is not very forthcoming. With Hillary it is her way or no way. Why can't her supporters see this? Why do they insist on electing another micro-managing regime into the oval office? Please see common sense and support someone else. How can anyone possibly argue that the Obama campaign has been more negative? That is absolutely false.

I have to turn the station whenever Carville speaks. He never makes sense to me.
Delegates want to be loyal to those who elected them, but Hillary is asking that they switch and vote for her. Isn't that asking them to be disloyal?
Hillary-Bosnia faux paux, divert topic to Obama pastor to get attention off of her, etc. Wait until she submits her tax returns for the past several years. There will be portions missing, I am sure, and to submit them 3 days before the April 22nd election. That could definitely be in Obama and McCain's favor! And the information will be fresh on people's minds when they head to the polls. Time for a change - Obama or McCain.

Hillary intentionally, deliberately broke the law - a law she voted for - the Stolen Valor Act. Why isn’t she indicted for falsely claiming she was under sniper fire? Her comments were precise & in great detail, repeated again & again. It is insulting for her to expect us to believe she "simply misspoke" or “made a mistake” as she now claims. Her criminal lies were intended to boost her image for personal gain – the EXACT reason the law was enacted. Other US citizens are criminally charged for making similar comments – all of whom regret “making a mistake”. Her comments were illegal, disrespectful, & cheapen the actions & sacrifice of every serviceman who has lived through hearing shots fired in anger. This proves again the Clintons will say & do ANYTHING in their thirst for personal power. Sid Zeller, Farrar, Iowa, US Marine

Let me just say, I think the comment about comparing Richardson to Judas is a bit ridiculous. I am a Hillary supporter and Bill Richardson can vote for whomever his chooses. The problem I have with him is the way he did it. I knew a long time ago from a previous interview when he didn't endorse Hillary right away, his support was going to be for Obama. I don't think he ever intented on supporting Hillary. Richardson rode the wave and then made his endorsement announcement when it felt it would be a detriment to Hillary. I feel base don his relationship with Hillary as portrayed by the media, he owed her the common courtesy to tell her where his support was going to be along time ago. My opinion, he thinks something is comming for him from Obama if obama is the nominee but, let me assure you, he's will be sadly mistaken in the end. One last comment. Richardson made a previous comment where he states the superdelegates should go with the will of the people of the state, with that being said Why is he not supporting Hillary, afterall, she won the New Mexico, is he not the governor. With friends like Richardson, Hillary sure doesn't need any enemies! ENOUGH SAID!!

What is wrong with some of you people? Reading some of the postings from Clinton supports has convinced me that we truly need education reform. Did Richardson ever say he was supporting Clinton then change his mind? No. Should Hillary's husband call her a betrayer because she claims not to support his NAFTA bill anymore? She changed her mind about the bill (in essence second guessing her husbands judgment just like Richardson changed his mind about her.
Honestly, we all have changed our minds about someone. Think about it.

The thing I find here that is the most worrisome is the vitriolic condemnation of the 'other' candidate. I hope that is more a function of people with 'extreme' views being willing (eager) to have their say, while the more moderate majority (I hope) remain silent.

The more I hear Carville talk trash, the more I know Governor Richardson made the right decision.

Obama on Iraq: U.S. Senate Record
11 months after joining Senate, Sen. Obama delivers first speech devoted to Iraq, says 'US forces are sill part of the solution.' "[T]he level of his criticism lowered when he arrived in Washington. In his first year in the Senate, he delivered one speech on Iraq, calling for a phased withdrawal by the end of 2006. But last November, Mr. Obama revised that time frame, saying the drawdown should begin in four to six months." Obama's Senate web site lists his address to the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations on November 22, 2005, 11 months after entering the U.S. Senate. Obama said, "I believe that U.S. forces are still a part of the solution in Iraq." [New York Times, 2/12/07; obama.senate.gov]
18 months after joining Senate, Sen. Obama gives first floor statement devoted to Iraq, opposes timeline for withdrawal. "…But having visited Iraq, I am also acutely aware that a precipitous withdrawal of our troops, driven by congressional edict rather than the realities on the ground, will not undo the mistakes made by this administration. It could compound them." [obama.senate.gov]
Upon arriving in the Senate, Sen. Obama supported every funding bill for Iraq, some $300 billion….until he started running for President. [2005 Vote # 117, HR1268, 5/10/05; 2005 Vote # 326, S1042, 11/15/05; 2006 Vote # 112, HR4939, 5/4/06; 2006 Vote # 239; 2006 Vote # 186, S2766, 6/22/06; HR5631, 9/7/06]
As a Senate candidate in November 2003, Sen. Obama said he would have 'unequivocally' voted against war funding because it was the only way to oppose Bush on Iraq. "Just this week, when I was asked, would I have voted for the $87 billion dollars, I said 'no.' I said no unequivocally because, at a certain point, we have to say no to George Bush. If we keep on getting steamrolled, we are not going to stand a chance." [Obama remarks, New Trier Democratic Organization forum, 11/16/03; Video]
Since Obama entered the U.S. Senate, his record on Iraq is identical to Hillary's, with one exception. ABC News reported that, "In fact, Obama's Senate voting record on Iraq is nearly identical to Clinton's. Over the two years Obama has been in the Senate, the only Iraq-related vote on which they differed was the confirmation earlier this year of General George Casey to be Chief of Staff of the Army, which Obama voted for and Clinton voted against." [ABC, 5/17/07; senate.gov; see chart]
Top Obama advisor says, as president, Sen. Obama will 'not rely upon some plan that he’s crafted as a presidential candidate or as a US senator.' Samantha Powers, who has subsequently resigned her position, also described Sen. Obama's Iraq plan as a "best case scenario." [BBC, 3/6/07]

Darrell what evidence do you have besides Obama's pastor to go on about him being a liar? Please share, because I'll be the first one to switch sides. Guess what A Bush or Clinton has been running this country for the last 20 years and I'm sick of it, as is most of my generation. Hillary has been caught in many more false statements than Barack, and you know this is true. Part of this is because she has been around longer than him, but the larger reason is that she will do anything to become president. She wants to make history, she wants to be the first woman ever to be president and she is so close she can taste it. This is her lifelong ambition, and so now that she is so close, even though she is not close enough to actually get the nomination, she will do whatever it takes to finish the job. If you believe that she has fewer ulterior motives than Obama than you are the one who is gullible. Do you not remember that the Clinton's wallets are padded with Wal-Mart dollars? Wal-Mart makes more in a day than Rezko could ever hope to make. How much help could he even offer Obama. There is no dirt because Obama actually wants to be proud to be an American again and he will work harder to get us there. Hillary will work harder to be the first woman who was commander-in-chief, even if it wasn't legit.

In Response to Josh: From a Black American Male.
I'm a baby boomer for Hillary Clinton, what do you say about that Sir?
Obama is not ready to be my President, he's lying, brainwashing, and decieving you, he's not a true change agent or uniter,Obama's cosmetic, this is evident since it's been revealed that he blonged to an African American Racist-based curch for over 20yrs. Yes you're right it's time for change, but not Obama, he would have this country more divided than it already is.
If this the Wright incident had of came out earlier before people voted for him in the primaries, he would not have gotten this far in the race, Hillary would be leadinghim and probably had the nomination wrap-up by now, but the media sat on it until they where sure Obama was closer to winning the nomination over Hillary, but she still has a chance, don't count her out just yet. I beleive some more negative things are going to come out about him soon, are you going to still back him then? or are you going to remain gullible to his deceptive speeches and lies?
Brainwashed people are made to believe whatever the Brainwasher is able to ingrain what they want them to believe about them or something their minds.
Obama carries the aura of occult leader JIm Jones of he Jonestown Masscure during the early 1970's, Jone's speeches sound so charisamatic and inspirational to his followers that he was able to get them to drink tainted kool-aid, which lead to their deaths by the thousands.
Obama has that same Jim Jones aura because he's got so many people wrapped up in him that he can use speeches with no substance to keep people if they even waver a little in line to vote for him, this was done when gave a Race Relation's speech to do damage control, because of the Wright incident that was having a negative impact on his run for the Presidency.
no matter what Obama does or says wrong it's alright with them; because no matter what, Obama will get their votes, because they have been brainwashed to do so through his eloquent speeches of mind control, lies, and deception.

WOW...LOOKS LIKE WE DEMOCRATS HAVE TWO CHOICES IN THE DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY, A WOMAN WHO WOULD RATHER LIE THAN TELL THE TRUTH AND A MAN WHO ATTENDS A BLACK CHURCH THAT HATES THE WHITE DEVIL...LOL...WELL...MAYBE JUST WAIT UNTIL THE GENERAL ELECTION AND SEE WHAT COMES UP
Posted by: STEVE | Mar 25, 2008 3:20:43 PM
I think James Carville's remarks were witty. I can't believe the posting they have motivated, so they must have hit the target.
The timing of Bill Richardson's endorsement sort of invited that sort of response from anyone clever enough to see the connection. He should have gone to church instead and picked another week.

i'm sick of my country always putting establishment candidates up to get voted into major offices. To all of the people who rip on Obama, Hillary has been around too long, she's from last generation, the baby boomers need to let go, look at where they have gotten our country so far while they were in power...Anyone that thinks Hillary is the best hope for our country has been living with their eyes and ears closed. I am 22 and I WILL NOT vote for Hillary, she is not the winner, there is about a 5% chance that she will be the winner, and she'd gonna have to grovel for every single vote that she gets from here on out. She continually stoops lower and lower as she and her campaign realize how dire the odds are for her to win the Dem. nomination. Stop dividing democrats, I promise that if the Democrats put Hillary out there as the candidate for 2008 it will come back to bite them in the rear for years to come, I will not soon forget how they shunned my candidate and neither will my friends. Good luck on beating us, it's our country now.

Linda: Carville' looks does not matter when it comes to intelligence. He made the right statement at the right time. Furthermore don't think highly of Richrdson. I just read where he had a sex encounter himself. So we shouldn't talk about Bill Clinton. I hope that encounter comes out in the wash.
Posted by: Mariann Pepitone | Mar 25, 2008 2:01:20 PM
I believe there still is a lot of dirt on Obama that hasn't come out yet. His background of chosen friends proves that. Carville is right about Richardson. He is a traitor like Judas and you know what happened to Judas. Watch Richardson's reaction if Hillary wins the nomination. And Hillary should turn her back on him if that happens. He might not even get elected as governor of New Mexico again.

Odrama's gonna be in for a real shock when PA votes!
GO HILLARY!!

I find it odd that when asked why he chose Barack over Hillary, Richardson said that Hillary is competent, exercises good judgment, and has the experience, however, he went with Obama because "he has something special" "there's something about him that he can't quite put his finger on". I'm surprised that Obama has so many endorsements based on "he gives a good speech' or "inspires hope" or the silliness of "he’s like a rock star", I have yet to hear anyone endorse him because his SPECIFIC/CONCRETE plans on economy, health care, education, and foreign policy are better when compared to Clinton's plans. (the few differences they do have were denounced by his own advisers).
