Client-9 "Would Ask You To Do Things That, Like, You Might Not Think Were Safe"
March 10, 2008 7:36 PM
Democratic New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer is ALLEGEDLY Client-9 in the prosecution's complaint.
The details about Client-9 are as follows, according to the complaint.
AN INDECENT PROPOSAL
On February 11, 2008, at about 10:53 p.m., one of the defendants in the case, Temeka Rachelle Lewis, sent a text message to another defendant, Cecil “Katie” Suwal, saying – in an apparent reference to payment, “Pls let me know if [Client-9's] 'package' arrives 2mrw. Appt wd b on Wed."
Responded Suwal: “K."
On February 12, 2008, at about 2:37 p.m., Lewis “called a prostitute who the Emperors Club marketed using the name "Kristen,” leaving a message saying that Client-9’s “deposit” had not yet arrived “but that they should be able to do the trip if the deposit arrived tomorrow.”
At about 4:03 pm, Kristen called back and said that was fine. They discussed Kristen taking a 5:39 p.m. train from New York’s Penn Station that arrived at Washington DC’s Union Station at 9:00 p.m.
Lewis told Kristen that Client-9 “would be paying for everything - train tickets, cab fare from the hotel and back, mini bar or room service, travel time, and hotel. Lewis also told Kristen that “Client-9 would not do traditional wire transferring.”
CLIENT-9 CALLS
At approximately 8:12 p.m., Client-9 called Lewis, who told him the “package” had not arrived.
Lewis: "You had QAT . . .,"
Client-9: "Yup, same as in the past, no question about it."
(Per ABC News' Brian Ross, QAT is "what prosecutors say is a prostitution operation operating under the name of the Emperors Club.")
Lewis then asked Client-9 what time he wanted the appointment; Client-9 said 9 or 10 pm. Lewis told him to call back in five minutes
Lewis then called Mark Brener, another defendant, and told him she believed Client-9 had about $400 or $500 credit. Suwal “said that she did not feel comfortable saying that Client-9 had a $400 credit when she did not know that for a fact.” At about 8:23 p.m., Lewis called Client-9, and told him that the “office" said no dice -- he could not proceed with the appointment just with his available credit. They agreed to talk the next day.
THE NEXT DAY
February 12, 2008, about 9:22 p.m. –
Lewis texts Kristen: “If D.C. appt. happens u will need 2 leave NYC @ 4:45pm. Is that possible?"
Kristen texts Lewis: “Yes.”
Client-9 calls Lewis, tells her he made a reservation at the hotel in DC and said his deposit should cover her “transportation.” Lewis said she’d try to make it work.
4:18 p.m.
Suwal texts Lewis: "Plackage arrived. Pls be sure he rsvp hotel."
4:21 p.m.
Lewis calls Kristen and tells her to go to Penn Station.
Lewis texts Kristen "TRAIN INFO Departing from Penn St. Arriving 8 Union St. Washington, DC NYC to DC Train # 129 Dep. 5:39pm Arr. 9pm."
4:58 p.m.
Client-9 calls Lewis. Lewis tells him package arrived. Client-9 says good, asks who his company will be. Lewis tells him it’s Kristen.
Client-9: "great, okay, wonderful.”
Lewis asks for "extra funds" so they don’t have this payment issue again. Client-9 says maybe.
7:51 p.m.
Client-9 and Lewis discuss that his balance was around $2,600. Client-9 says maybe he’ll give Kristen $3,600 so he has a thousand on balance. He later changes it to $4,100. Client-9 says he’ll look for a bank.
They discuss how Kristen can get a room key. Lewis said she’d prefer for Kristen not to have to give a name. Client-9 said he was trying to “think this through." Lewis suggests he put a key in an envelope and leave it with the concierge.
8:47 p.m.
Client-9 tells Lewis to tell Kristen to go to room 871, that the door will be ajar.
Lewis asked “if the hotel staff might pass by the door and close it, and Client-9 said no it was okay. Client-9 explained that the door would not be visibly open, but if someone pushed it, the door would open.”
Client-9 asked Lewis to remind- him what Kristen looks like.
Lewis reminded him: “an American, petite, very pretty brunette, 5 feet 5 inches, and 105 pounds.”
9:32 p.m.
Kristen calls Lewis, tells her she’s in the room. Asks when Client-9 will be there.
9:36 p.m.
Lewis says Client-9 is in the hotel, tells her about the extra payment, asks to be texted when he arrives so she could start the four-hour meter.
"I’M NOT A…MORON"
Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2008, 12:02 a.m.,
Kristen calls Lewis, tells her Client-9 has left. Tells her it went well, that he gave her $4,300.
Kristen: “I don't think he's difficult. I mean it's just kind of like . . whatever. . . I'm here for a purpose. I know what my purpose is. I am not a . . . moron, you know what I mean. So maybe that's why girls maybe think they're difficult…That's what it is, because you're here for a [purpose]. Let's not get it twisted - I know what I do, you know."
Lewis: “You look at it very uniquely, because .. . no one .ever says it that way."
Lewis says she’d been told Client-9 "would ask you to do things that, like, you might not think were safe - you know - I mean that . . . very basic things.”
Kristen: “I have a way of dealing with that…I'd be like listen dude, you really want the sex? . . . You know what I mean."
And.....scene.

just wonderin2,
He didn't leave early. The fee is 1,000.00 an hour. Remember he had to pay for travel time and everything else. So, if you factor in 3 hours travel time and the hour he paid for, that brings you to 4,000. I assume the extra 300 was either for a tip or just as extra for next time. In any case, he is a loser. His poor wife and kids. They should lock him up today. Whatever they can find to make stick, they should stick on him, loser.

agree with just wonderin above. kristen was probably talking protecton, condom. she didn't let him get away with it. that's why he left early instead of using his 4hrs booked with her.
i'm shocked to find out prostitution is illegal in this country. it's medieval. how do these girls protect themselves??

poor loser has to pay for sex. very sad. plus, no protection? what a dope. possibly exposing his wife and kids to total tragedy. the day i have to pay for sex is the day i slink away into the woods, never to be seen again.
however, kristen does sound hot.

Reading the transcript highlights, among other things, the IMMENSE amount of effort involved in setting this up. All this for one hour of sex?! How desperate do you have to be?!

What a jerk. He needs to resign and slither off in shame behind some tall grass.
What pod were these phony women hatched from that they can stand beside these men and act like he did nothing wrong just to further a career? If that was me, I would have scratched my husbands eyeballs out and probably beat him up at the damned press conference.

I watched his wife's face. Sheer misery.
I think about his daughters.
And, I think about Hillary. I don't feel sorry for her. It is just a bargain for her.
But, Hillary is an enabler.
Gerald Ford did interviews discussing Bill Clinton. He suggested that Bill get treatment for sexual addiction.
Do we want this back in the Whitehouse?
DO we have no morals?

I have been married for over 15 years. I am no angel. But my wife has always been there. I have never cheated and I never will. If you cannot respect your marraige how can you respect anything. I have a daughter and I could never fathom how to tell her something so terrible about myself let alone have it in the press. He must feel that he is above the law like alot of people in power think. Absolute power corrupts....Now he must be held accountable to the law. Something that he does respect!

Since Spitzer is Client-9, I wonder who Client-1 might be?
Posted by: just wonderin' | Mar 11, 2008 10:45:56 AM
a) What Kristen probably meant was that he would try to get away with not using a condom. Her response was that she would tell him 'you want the sex?' - i.e., then you better use protection.
The issue is not powerful men with powerful appetites... it is powerful people who have an attitude that they are above the rules, laws and morals of ordinary people. This is a problem.

And another thing... dragging his wife to the press conference is really low. Why bring her into this except as a pity shield. He's betrayed her... by his actions with a call girl and now by using her as a prop! Slimeball!

1.soliciting prostitution across state lines 2.stucturing payments to a criminal enterprise with the intent to deceive authorities. These are federal felony crimes. Mr.Spitzer, while serving as attorney general of NY, made his career & reputation imprisoning criminals for similar crimes (and bragged about it!). this isn't just sex people. this is felony criminal activity by the governor of the state. he needs to face the same consequences as any other citizen would. Also, i keep hearing references to Larry Craig. Mr. Craig was charged with a crime and plead guilty. Mr. Spitzer's continuance as governor is untenable. if he has a shred of humility left in his arrogant body, he needs to step down. immediately.

I agree Mary there are two blogs on here running this thing and not one on the Rezko trial of today

"there are plenty who love their wives and think their marriage means something.
That's before they are exposed. These "Mr. Clean" are always the ones that you learnt from the media, but you in fact know nothing about, people such as Obama.

Strange that this has so much traction and we have the Rezko trial where a candidate that is running for president nomination name is being call and no seem interested.

LMAO, now ABC is identifing his as a Democrat, After they removed my previous post saying the left wing bias Media never puts a"tag" on Democrats. Let see now we have the Democrat Mayor of Philly involved in a sex scandal, Congressman Jefferson involved in a money laundering scandal an d the Democrat senator from LA. involveed in campagne money scandal, not to mention the dishonorable JOhn Murtha calling our troops murderers and Democrat Senator Durbin calling the troops Nazis. and the list of Democrats, involved in scandals goes on, BTW why won't HILLARY comment on another of her "superdelegates" becomeing a scandal. guess she is use to it....

All powerfufl men have these appetites?
Nah...there are plenty who love their wives and think their marriage means something.
Posted by: SuziQ | Mar 10, 2008 9:47:49 PM
Yes... we all have a dark side, but society, our faiths and laws hedge our darker selves. I hear so many times that all powerful men have these appetites... I don't disagree, but it is never an excuse. But actions should have consequences... if he is given a pass, how can any of his subordinates view the “law” as anything other than mere guidelines.
Posted by: smartprimate | Mar 10, 2008 8:57:30 PM
I am beginning to think that we all are supposed to have a dark side.
