Clinton Camp Praises Fox

March 31, 2008 8:32 PM

On Fox and Friends today, (Watch HERE) Clinton surrogate and Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell had some high praise for Fox News Channel.

"I think during this entire primary coverage, starting in Iowa and up to the present, Fox has done the fairest job, and remained the most objective of all the cable networks," Rendell said. "You hate both of our candidates -- no, I’m only kidding. But you actually have done a very balanced job of reporting the news, and some of the other stations are just caught up with Senator Obama, who is a great guy, but Senator Obama can do no wrong, and Senator Clinton can do no right."

This pro-Fox rapture comes after several steps the Clinton camp has made to work with conservative media, including:

Breaking bread with Richard Mellon Scaife;

Sending out an anti-Obama piece from the American Spectator;

Sending out a defense of Bill Clinton from the National Review;

Cozying up to Rupert Murdoch;  and

Establishing an emissary to reach out to Matt Drudge.

It also comes after a Clinton jihad against MSNBC a few weeks ago, as you may recall.

Though you may also recall the Democratic boycott of a Fox News Channel debate last year.

What do you make of all this?

Obama has been treated to nicely by the media...are they confused? ...is he running for president or a Bollywood face?
They will be sorry when they find out he is a Con artist and talker...has he not been around corruption and corrupt friends too long? He is weaker than Hillary....she should run independently.....the Democratic Party mafia is narrow minded...

Hillary is almost certainly contemplating switching parties if she doesn't get her way. At any rate, she is revealing the fact, painful for many Democrats to admit, that she and her husband are now NeoConservatives - perhaps many in the DLC as well.
BTW, the notion that Obama is on the 'far left' is a just a hoot. That worked against Kerry (John Kerry,for gosh sakes!), but this is four years down the road and we've all gotten tired of the labelling game. Obama could be on the 'far north' for all I care, I'd still vote for him.

Obama and his followers are so far left the consider Hillary a rightwinger.

This is the true battle going on. FAR LEFT liberals versus centrist Democrats.

HILLARY isn't ready for primetime, and she will never be. Senator Obama and McCain are both individuals with integrety- Something that both Hillary and Bill Clinton is lacking.

MCcain would be a better choice than Hillary Clinton, But I'll cast my vote For Senator Obama in November, 2008

Gosh, what are the Faux News haters going to do now?

Donna Brazile has not declared her support for Obama because she has not yet endorsed either candidate.

I might add that Brazile has been nothing but fair in her representation of both of these fine candidates.

She is a highly intelligent woman who will endorse the candidate of her choosing at the time she decides to do so.

I'm certainly confused about the link, "Clinton jihad against MSNBC," which was purported to have occured a few weeks ago. Yet the article link was from October 07 and speculated on the various Clinton media associations along with Drudge. The wording, Clinton's jihad, is deliberately incendiary and can't really be applied to the article. If you're going to include links, please have them accurately associated with your article and not later removed.

Senator Obama is a qualified candidate. He is a highly educated man who has proven himself as a leader. He has integrety and can unite Americans.

At one time I supported Hillary Clinton but I am disappointed with her mud-slinging tactics and her inablity to tell the truth. I am disappointed with her NOT releasing tAX returns. This is unacceptable for someone running for the highest office in America.

WHERE IS MICHELLE?????????????????

I too, am surprised that FOX in general has been more fair about the election than CNN, MSNBC, Newsweek, Politico, NBC, and NPR.

Is there any reason Donna Brazile has not declared her support for Obama yet? She sure sounds like Obama supporter in all the shows. Any fool can see through her.

thanks, hoosiersue. i know the on-going anger and inability to move beyond that point in the resolution of a time before any of this generation or the preceeding ones lived has eluded most black americans. i guess disengaging themselves from the whole in order to identify as one(what about black is not one)thus puffing themselves up has a place for them. Just look at kwanza(sp). AND, i know blacks like to say itis getting to their roots. Again they are the only group that 24/7 wants to be separated out.
Now comes bho, mlk incarnate. a god among mortal men.
Guess every city will now have a bho avenue.

Obama is supposed to unite us, yet it's a travesty when Hillary reaches out to conservatives. (She's done this same thing in the Senate to get some pretty darn good things done on behalf of the American people.) Obama backers talk about a unified America while railing against Hillary supporters and conservatives. Apparently they're taking their cue from their leader, since Obama himself seems only to care about "uniting" those who flock to his side.

Obama supporters fail to understand that Obama is a far-left liberal. That's not his worst fault though. His worst fault is his penchant for dancing around all sides of every issue, changing his stance depending on his audience. He seems to have trouble deciding quite where to land as evidenced by his many "present" votes in the Illinois State Senate.

Obama isn't ready for primetime, and franky, I don't know if he'll ever be. Hillary and McCain are both moderates with decades of achievement behind them. I'll be proud to cast my vote for either of them in November.

fedup, blacks can't drop the "African" from African-American. It's a result of the Black Liberation Theology as set forth by Cone and pushed forward by Obama's church. If you recall, that term really took off in the 80s with The Cosby Show when the cast members used it every chance they got. That show was so mainstream, and Americans so liked Cosby, that it easily became the accepted term. I've read some very interesting things concerning Cosby since I've become aware of Black Liberation Theology. google Cone and Black Liberation Theology and prepare to have your eyes opened.

la ind,
man you do have a hair up your ...you are as bad as all the media giving bho a free ride through your blind adoration. and you have missed the point.when someone of a given group of people, run against someone of a different group and get 90% of the vote in their own group, it is outside the realm of chance. in this case it becomes racist.
EVERYTHING said negative about bho is called racist by his supporters. blacks know no other way to fight then through race. (oh yea, and if blacks wanted to totally assimilate in AMERICA, they would drop the "african". that is simply another way to keep yourselves separate from the whole. most races only keep the hyphynation with first generations.)
most people can see the truth, the only reason bho is ahead is because of the 90% balck vote. the rest of the subgoups are more 60-40, 40-60, at most. it is the blind, yes blind, voting of the black population--ninety percent!!!--that has given him the edge. it will not be an edge come november. come november, bye, bye, bho!

IN regard to -"Clinton Camp Praises Fox"

OF COURSE she does. FOX news gives Senator Clinton a "pass" on negative points of concern, while raking her opponnant over the coals whenever they get the chance. An example would be the Rev. Wright controversy. I'll wager that FOX has played the "Wright" snippits over and over about ten million times. Frankly, I'm sick of it. Granted, rev Wright is an extremist and his association with Senator Obama is questionable and no doubt unfortunate. However, it appears Obama has weathered this storm and I'm watching his poll numbers rise proving this as fact.
As an undecided, I would very much appreciate hearing the facts, bad & good, presented fairly about all candidates. FOX is incapable of doing this. And I've recently abandoned FOXNEWs for one of the competing cable news channels.

LA Indiana - As a follow-up, these remarks were made in Indiana. When he said it there was a hush like you wouldn't believe.

Posted by: C Good | Apr 1, 2008 11:21:48 AM

Why hasn't one of the medias jumped on the remarks of Obama about him not wanting his girls to be punished with a baby for making a mistake. This was regarding abortion - prochoice or against. What does this man really stand for? One day it's this the next day it's that. Doesn't answer any questions at a debate first, lets Hillary answer then agrees or adlibs just a little. Who will be making the decisions or standing over his shoulder in the White House. Will it be Kennedy, Farakan, Wright, Kerry or Michelle?
