Clinton Slips Away to Do 'Saturday Night Live'
March 01, 2008 11:02 PM
When the press corps got on Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign plane in Dallas for the flight to Columbus, Ohio, the candidate was not there. Her press aides came back to the press section of the plane and said they wouldn't tell reporters anything about her whereabouts, except that she would rejoin the campaign in Ohio as scheduled Sunday morning.
Where had she gone? Clinton had bolted to go "Live from New York" on "Saturday Night Live."

I just watched Obama's svengali, David Axelrod on ABC - perhaps the more apt description would be "The Wizard of Oz - Unmasked"!
I guess years ago he realized that his own ambitions would be thwarted by his uncharming, stammering demeanor. So, he set about finding a more attractive, well spoken man whose persona he could create - investing in him his own hopes and dreams.
The question is whose really in charge here?

jrm102- To answer your question about if Obama would be a good leader. To start with, he has run a brilliant campaign and not loaned his campaign any money!! He has also constantly raised far more funds than Clinton has done.
Problem with Clinton from the start is: She thought the nomination was in a bag for her!!
Experience should teach you never to underestimate anyone/anything. You should also never make assumptions in politics!

she is hands down the best candidate for the job...
i agree with the note that Hitler rose from sheer personal magnitude and popularity, promising "change" and "greatness and restoring 'hope' to the fatherland..
its actually very serious and if he backed 'live birth abortions' as the note from Ill says...he's very very sick...
i think his church is outright racist...
and it has direct links to farraghan..
Obama is for God's sake a state senator...
I have more experience in government than he and i would not run for president ...
Hilary is hugely intelligent, has a demonstrated track record for true concern and has as one other has stated here...
a true domestic and global awareness which is simply as deep as the ocean...
...the obama camp has its good qualities but including those republicans who are sure to kick his very own ass in the fall, when they swith back in texas and other places to vote against him...isn't one of them...
shame on you barack...courting republican votes even when you have heard from their own mouths they are doing this strategically to kill the best and most seriously feared republican killer candidate in the business...
the clintons are for middle class and working class and even the poor and the minoties...they have a true record of helping ALL people...in this country..
and its simply for real...no words only crowd...and this is why the elites in many respects do hate the clintons....

If you think that Hillary and Bill have negative ratings, just wait until the republican get their teeth into Barack and Michelle Obama. I think the liberal wing of the democratic party is the constant scourge of the party. In every primary in the past 30 years with the exception of 1992 and 1996 (Bill Clinton), the Democratic Party has been thrilled the the candidate they have selected only to find that the general election was a whole new ballgame. Unfortunately for this independent, and many more, they have done it again. Obama will not be able to beat McCain in the fall and that is unfortunate for all Americans.

Obama's biggest advantage against ANYONE is the MEDIA! Let’s face it, according to the media, Hillary Rodham Clinton can’t do anything right and Barack Hussein Obama can’t do anything wrong. Poor Obama. I seem to recall Obama recently saying "its all about the delegates". Now he is spouting that the popular vote is what the superdelegates need to vote on. Hmmm which is it? Obama needs less of "yes we can" and a lot of 'how he can'. We need experience in the Oval Office and Obama does not have it. Vote Hillary! She is a candidate of action…he is a candidate of words. We need experience in these hard times.

When I early voted here in Texas, a driving thought I had was who would be the best Democrat to represent not only me but my child in the years to come. I chose Hillary Clinton.
In recent years she has become a true leader who I believe will look out for society's most vulnerable. Children, the elderly and the downtrotten will benefit from a Clinton presidency.
As I final note, in years past, I have not been a Hillary fan. However, people can surprise you. It's now apparent to me that she is a much more mature, thoughtful individual than in years past and has the self discipline, global awareness and bridge-building skills this country needs right now.

Get over your infatuation with Hillary. It is understandable that you would like her to win. However, it is time to accept some hard reality. She has very high negative ratings and she is uninspiring. She tries to be everything for everyone. She needs to show some real leadership, which will attract more voters to her cause.

What a bunch of losers and have been's!
Saturday Night Live missed the plot and a real chance. The White House at 3am. The phone rings, in the darkened bedroom a small light comes on, Michelle answers the phone, “It’s that crazy woman again”. Barack takes the phone. “Get over it girl, you lost. … OK next time I’ll take the first question, now let us get some sleep. Good night”

Thanks ABC for some fair reporting about Hillary. I was beginning to think I there was nowhere for this DEM to go to read fair reporting about her.
I have gotten to the point after having OB crammed down my throat for so long by the MSM that even McCain looks better to me.
I find it odd that the majority of America felt as if their votes were disenfranchised in 2000 & 2004 by the Republicans, but now the Dems are trying to disenfranchise close to half of their own party by rushing to select the nominee and not asking why the candidate 1/2 of their party is not receiving equal "decent" press.
Words matter and the MSM selects demeaning words to describe everything Hillary does or says like attacking, going negative while at the same time describing OB with words like raptorous, lightning strike come back. Yes, all you "educated" people OB is supposedly attracting, have you not had time in your busy lives to do your own fact checking or to question the discrepancies in the way our two Dem candidates are being covered?

Had it been Obama we would have woke up this morning having to look at his face PLASTERED all over everywhere. Proof, there is MSM bias.
The MSM is selecting the Dem candidate just like they selected Bush Jr with biased reporting.
How can anyone honestly claim they believe the MSM has been fair in their reporting when Obama blowing his nose gets more press than when Hillary is on SNL?
When Republican Huckabee (not a candidate the press thinks is a threat to Obama) was on SNL it was widely reported and talked about for days, if not for a week. The press is being overly transparent in their adoration of OB instead of doing their job and reporting fairly.

It deeply sadens me to know that someone will bring up someone parents past has deceased. We as poeple are not responsible for our parents back grounds. Let it go do not talk about Obama's parents. He has inspired America. We all have to answer for our own mistakes. You know they are women who stay with the wrong man, because of love. I hope the person that has sais that about Obama's parents has asked God to forgive them. No matter what background our parents come from. We still love them as God loves us.

I think she knows that her ship has sailed, and she's unlikely to be getting any more invitations to be on TV after the primaries are over. She's already old news to most educated voters, and despite the media's love affair with the Clintons, she'll soon be old news even to Hollywood. Maybe the voters in New York will wise up... nahh, now that'd be way too much to expect!

So being on a sketch comedy show is more important than Ohio. Thanks for the heads up, Hil. I'll keep that in mind when I'm voting for your betters.

Just to have Bush out and Hillary in as President will be a HUGE change. We will have a woman for the first time in the office. Obama is just another from the boys club. He is playing politics the good ole' way. He will be destroyed by the Republicans. I could never vote for him because he really looks to Hillary for the answers and always backs down to her opinions. Obama people think they own the media. Well, SNL loves Hillary. And Obama I suppose has Rush Limbauh.

Obama should become an actor or a preacher and stay clear of politics. He is a puppet. As you heard from the last debate, he doesn't reject any one who wants to give him money and he takes it for his campaign. Now he will owe them for the money they have given him and the country will pay. Evita was loved by her country, and so was Bush at the beginning. Take heed Texas and Ohio. Vote for someone with a tract record. Hillary has set the stage for so much good to occur. Only her plans are published. She is organized. She is ready. The economy can't handle another "flavor of the month." We need someone who has a resume. I'm praying that Hillary gets your support. Thanks!

nothing can stand on the way of the power of millions calling for change not even attending SNL,s. HRC is very desperate, she &Bill will do everything even to the point of hurting the Dem party. Superdelagetes act now.

Another thing that I want to mention is that I had a good plan to help the U.S. economy, big time, but U.S. politicians were too lazy to implement it.
U.S. is suppose to be the best country to absorb best creative ideas, but not really anymore. This is my biggest complain about this country.
Another thing that I want to mention is that I have been urging our husband, a talented scientist, to invent a device that would detect biological or nuclear materials. U.S. scientists are only half way there, and it may be another 5-10 years before this kind of technology could be implemented in this country. I wish it would happen sooner though.
After all, guys, you got to believe me that I am on your side. Why consider me as your enermy? We are on the same boat, and I care about mine and my family's future as much as you do.
Please do hurt my feelings.

I assume that you are a Obama supporter right?

Night yang, may the next president be gifted with the ability to make to informed decisions, and capable to make it beneficial for everyone.

I don't know anything about India, but I know China right now is suffering a bad inflation with a sharp rise with labor cost and energy cost and housing. Therefoe, China is likely unable to attract foreign manufacturing investments as much as it did during the past. Not right away, but Americans might be able to see a drop in foreign investments in a few years in China.
To be honest to say, I would rather me and my family here to get the best jobs we want. I truly hope that some smart American politicians would be able to figure out a way to increase job insourcing and reducing job outsourcing. Why not? Having a good job is part of the good life for us, right?
Good night, guys. I have to go now.
