Hillary Denies Saying "Big Boys" Were Trying to Bully a Woman Out of the Race
March 31, 2008 10:06 AM
The New York Times' Patrick Healey, Jeff Zeleny and Adam Nagourney reported on Saturday that, in response to calls for Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, to drop out of the race (from the likes of Obama-backing Sen. Pat Leahy, D-Vermont), "In a conversation with two Democratic allies, she compared the situation to the 'big boys' trying to bully a woman, according to interviews with them."
In the Washington Post Sunday, Clinton denied the report to Perry Bacon, Jr.
Q. "There was a story today that said you felt the 'big boys' were trying to push you out, 'bullying' you. Did you use those phrases?"
Clinton: "No , I did not. ... I never said that. I'm always amazed when I read things I supposedly said that I never said. Look, I think that what is going on with people trying to shut this process down is very counterproductive. I think it is not in the best interests of the Democratic Party…
"It would be perilous for me to say, 'You know, Barack Obama won x,y and z. That's not enough electoral votes. He should drop out.' Why would anybody say that? We need to let this contest continue. I know there are some people who want to shut this process down, and I think they are wrong and I have no intention of stopping until we finish what we started, and until we see what happens in the next 10 contests, and until we resolve Florida and Michigan. And if we won't resolve it, we'll resolve it at the convention -- that's what credentials committees are for -- because I feel so strongly about this. For the life of me, what Barack was afraid of with Michigan I will never understand. There is no doubt in my mind he would have done just fine running a vigorous campaign."
UPDATE: Healey at the New York Times emailed me to say the newspaper stands by its story.

the clintons are decent people-none are perfect. but hillary will make a better
president that mccain or obama
she is smarter than obama on the issues and mccain-scares me-with his talk of continued war.
none of the three are perfect. and neither are we.
good night.

I believe nothing, absolutely nothing the Clinton's say, and it's unfortunate that Chelsea is being used by them to give them an appearance of decency, and legitimacy. If she continues to go along with her parent's lies....then she too will lose any future credibility.

Why doesn't the media let people know about Michelle Robinson Obama's undergraduate thesis. It reads pretty much like the Reverend Wright's words. Must be because this was her family's church, and when Obama met her, he started going there. This is when, as he has referred to in speeches, he found religion 20 years ago! He has been an active participant in this church and listened to hundreds of sermons by Rev. Wright. This church is all connected to Michelle Obama. She is as angry toward white people as Rev. Wright. You Obama supporters should be more concerned about what this church has been teaching black people about white people than whether or not he ever went to a Muslim school as a kid. Michelle Obama, and now their children, had a different take on white people since she went to this church -- and she obviously converted Barack since he turned on his white Grandmother who raised him after his Mother died. I don't think anyone knows for sure what he really thinks or believes because he can come up with whatever words he needs to depending on who he is with. Anyway, what Michelle Obama wrote, and is teaching their children, and what the entire family has been listening to in this church is quite disturbing. This might explain her comment about never being proud of her country until now -- now that her husband is running for president. Why wasn't she proud when he ran for office in the state of Illinois twice?

They said that she said, but she said this is really what she said according to what he is saying. Blah, blah, blah. It gets awfully empty in ABC cyberspace.

Another lie by Hillary... She gets no benefit of the doubt with me after all those lies she's been telling are starting to come to the forefront. D.

Clinton has zero experience, she divides "whites" and "blacks", she, and her husband, are strictly pro-Clintons, not pro-America. How has this arrogant, megalomaniac Marxist gotten this far? This is scary for the Democrat party!

Anyone saying to vote McCain is an idiot. Who wants 8 more years of Bush policies? Are you joking? Has the DNC become so divided and so stupidly blind and cultish that if our first choice isn't nominated that we would vote for McCain: Bush's newest lapdog?
Honestly, that rationale shows why our country is so messed up. We live in a nation where the people are prejudiced idiots that can't see the bigger picture because they're too busy trying to push their own agenda at the cost of better policies and a better economy.
The single greatest threat in this country is a lack of healthcare and jobs that provide a means for the American way of life. A vote for McCain is a vote for more money and jobs going overseas and not to healthcare and our own economy. Maybe when you job gets outsourced you'll wish you voted for Obama or Clinton or even Nader if he could win.
People are stupid and should be ashamed of themselves. You obviously have enough free time to type responses here but won't take the time to look at the real issues. I was certain that the one thing that the American people, both republicans and democrats could agree upon was that we wanted no more parts of Bush!!!!
Even republicans have heavily criticized Bush over the last few years. So what the hell is this "if so and so doesn't win I will jump wagon and vote for more Bush" crap about?
You need to grow up. People who would do that would be the loudest among the cry babies once their son or daughter gets killed in the pseudo-war. Or you are going to want to picket once your job has been outsourced to someone in Asia even though you voted for that kind of leadership.
Don't let the media Jedi-mind trick you into voting against your own interests otherwise you really are sheep being led to the slaughter.

This "story" was clearly planted by the Clinton campaign to rile up women to vote for Huckab...I mean Clinton.
If Obama and Clinton switched positions, Clinton and her supporters would be calling for Obama's head -- there's NO WAY he would still be in the race.
I'm sick of everyone trying to make this a gender issue -- it's not. It's about doing what's best for the Democratic party and the American people. Obama has a 95% chance of winning the nomination and Clinton has a 95% chance of making the Democrats lose the general election if she continues her negative campaign. Simple math tells me that it's unreasonable for ANY Democrat to want to accept this risk.
Posted by: Jane | Apr 1, 2008 7:22:33 AM
Sure, she has a right to campaign as long as she wants. However, if the situation were reversed, the entire weight of the senate floor - would literally be brought down on Obama to get out of the race. Her supporters, surrogates, media, etc. would ALL be telling him to get out of the contest. Some of his own supporters would be encouraging him to get out. I imagine he, himself, would end his campaign if he examined all the evidence.
However, some how Hillary wants to keep going. She and her side feels and believes, she can somehow whether the storm and stage some COMEBACK NEVER before seen in American politics. If anyone suggest she gets out, they are branded as wanting to silence the voters, hey are branded as sexist, etc.
I, too, at first thought she should continue. But, given the circumstances, the implications, examining the evidence, etc. I now think she should get out. Simply stated, this is bull. She needs to get out. Period. She knows and her SUPPORTERS know it. If the situation were reversed, he'd be out, why in the hell can't she get out? She's not special and if she is not careful, she won't have a senate seat or a CAREER to return too!

Some of the comments here shows the sorry state America is in and will always be in when people can't look beyond a person's color when they make their decision on who to vote for. And stop blaming Obama for Fl and MI woes. The way I read it (you should try it) is Hillary was supposed to take her name off the ballot too, but she "didn't meet the dealine in time". Smells like some of the same crap we got when Bush won Florida some years back. Not only was that disenfranchisement - they told the voters outright, in your face "go to hell - we're gonna win this no matter what the rules are!!!"

Obama has zero experience, he divides "whites" and "blacks", he, his wife and spiritual leader are anti-american. How has this arrogant racist gotten this far. This is scary for the Democratic party!

no one is forcing her out and she only fights when she is winning! ask her a hard question and she hides behind obama, sucks her finger and asks why she has to be first!!
Posted by: melissa | Mar 31, 2008 6:58:46 PM
okay i did and i dont see the big deal! thats something that he could have been told or just got the dates wrong! thats not like gun fire!!! who the hell cares?
Posted by: melissa | Mar 31, 2008 6:56:50 PM
I wish they'd try to force her out, because that's when her base loves her the most. She is a fighter, and she should continue fighting. The polls are erratic, and can't serve to represent an honest opinion of how the general election will play out. Everyday something happens that changes the flow of the election, so that is my reason to continue the voting process, so we have a buffer incase damning evidence comes out about Obama - in which case the super delegates can rightfully give Hillary the nominee.

Michigan and Florida are two entirely different situations. It was the Florida Republican governor and Republican legislature that voted to hold their primary -- for both parties -- when they did. Why would they care what the DNC said? However, Michigan democrats did choose to go ahead. It was not Clinton's fault that Obama decided to remove his name from the ballot. He was probably glad they did this since he was not expected to win Michigan! Also, the votes are counted because OBAMA will not agree to count them. The DNC would count the votes only if BOTH campaigns agreed. So put the blame where is goes -- OBAMA is disenfranchising the voters in both Florida and Michigan! And he has campaigned making statements about every vote should count! Yeah, right! Only when he thinks he would be the winner!
Posted by: Reality | Mar 31, 2008 6:17:00 PM
Both Bushes cried. Men that are real men aren't afraid to cry. I see no problem with anyone crying. Someone has some issues if they can't cry.

Posted by: melissa | Mar 31, 2008 6:06:35 PM
Well-sourced, you say? The sources in the NYT article are "aides" and "two Democratic allies." If that's the standard, here's my contribution to investigative journalism:
According to sources close to the Obama campaign, Mr. Obama hides under the kitchen sink and "cries his eyes" out every time someone mentions his veneration for the Reagan administration. Party allies also report that the junior Senator "wets his bed" so frequently as to require "rubber sheets" due to "nightmares" about little old ladies getting past his "caucus goons" and participating in the democratic process.
Someone give me a byline.

Hillary never runs from a difficult situation, but I remember Barack doing that in Texas when they asked him too many questions about REZCO. He said 8. That's enough. It took him about a month to regroup. lol. I laugh everytime I see him hiding behind that curtain.
Posted by: John | Mar 31, 2008 6:04:34 PM
lol... yea im sure if that was even a option hilary would have done it first and we wouldnt be talking right now! and lets not even talk about tears, because what kind of prez cries when they get to go first? or makes crazy remarks because of what saturday night live says?
Posted by: melissa | Mar 31, 2008 6:00:34 PM
Barack was afraid of "every" solution that they came up with in both states. He cry babied and said no. I won't let them vote. No they can't!!

Michigan and Florida LEGISLATORS did that not the dems..
Posted by: melissa | Mar 31, 2008 5:51:39 PM
For what the Democratic party did to Florida and Michigan and the Obama supporters have done to Hillary in this asking her to bow out crap I've decided I am really a Republican at heart. I don't support any of this kind of stuff.
And for those who say take it out on our locals. When that time comes that will happen too, but right now it was supposed to have been a presidential race...but that was kind of squashed by the supposed Dem bosses. Good luck with that crowning.
Posted by: John | Mar 31, 2008 5:48:18 PM
yea but you have to admit its not that far off from, does obama need a pillow! she has been making the "bully" remarks on t.v.
Posted by: melissa | Mar 31, 2008 5:47:09 PM
Michigan and Florida voters should be upset with THEIR OWN LEGISLATORS, not Obama or Clinton or the DNC. They were given rules and willfully disregarded them! Both Clinton and Obama signed a waiver and abided by the dnc rules. Clinton is just causing a stink now becuase she's losing. If our memory serves us correctly, she had no problem with the rules when she signed on the dotted line. So instead of saying i wont vote for Clinton or Obama, try saying i wont vote my state legislators come next election. In truth they are the ones that disenfranchised you!

What happened to the good old days when the nominee was chosen AT the convention with ALL the delegates being recognized. Evidently, Howard Dean thinks there is no need to allow this to play out in a democratic way since Howard and his cohorts have decided to disenfranchise not only the voters in Florida and Michigan who already have actually voted, but also all the voters in the other states who have yet to vote. This is democracy??? Ol' Kennedy, Kerry, Richardson, Dodd, Leahy, et al. -- what great bills have they been able to get through Congress? These losers have no right to call for Clinton to stop. THEY are part of the problem for which we need a change. If this is the case, why have a convention, why waste all that money, why bother to tally the votes of any of the delegates -- especially since the caucuses were not exactly monitored fairly! There were busloads of students paid for by the Obama campaign driven into Iowa to caucus from another state -- I could have gone because at one time I was an Obama supporter before I woke up to the truth about who he really is. Why doesn't the media investigate the caucus process in each of the caucus states that went to Obama to find out just how they were monitored, what rules were -- or were not -- followed, what kind of identification did the participants need, etc.? Also, just how many of these states will go to McCain anyway in the general election, so it doesn't matter which democrat won.

I'll say it. She is being BULLIED by the boys in the party. She doesn't have to say something for it to be true. The truth is the truth, whether it's in whispers or from the mountain tops.
I have news for you men, women aren't going to shut up and be bullied out of the process any longer.
Deal with it.

In March 2007 a Pakistani immigrant named Abdul Rehman Jinnah was indicted by a grand jury for violating federal election laws. The charges stem from $30,000 in illegal contributions to Clinton's presidential campaign.

Hillary simply cannot tell the truth. Here’s her scorecard:
Admitted Lies
• Chelsea was jogging around the Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. (She was in bed watching it on TV.)
• Hillary was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. (She admitted she was wrong. He climbed Mt. Everest five years after her birth.)
• She was under sniper fire in Bosnia. (A girl presented her with flowers at the foot of the ramp.)
• She learned in The Wall Street Journal how to make a killing in the futures market. (It didn’t cover the market back then.)
Whoppers She Won’t Confess To
• She didn’t know about the FALN pardons.
• She didn’t know that her brothers were being paid to get pardons that Clinton granted.
• Taking the White House gifts was a clerical error.
• She didn’t know that her staff would fire the travel office staff after she told them to do so.
• She didn’t know that the Peter Paul fundraiser in Hollywood in 2000 cost $700,000 more than she reported it had.
• She opposed NAFTA at the time.
• She was instrumental in the Irish peace process.
• She urged Bill to intervene in Rwanda.
• She played a role in the ’90s economic recovery.
• The billing records showed up on their own.
• She thought Bill was innocent when the Monica scandal broke.
• She was always a Yankees fan.
• She had nothing to do with the New Square Hasidic pardons (after they voted for her 1,400-12 and she attended a meeting at the White House about the pardons).
• She negotiated for the release of refugees in Macedonia (who were released the day before she got there).
With a record like that, is it any wonder that we suspect her of being less than honest and straightforward?
Let’s join together to move this country forward, and not backward into the divisive and hateful politics of the Bush/Clinton past.

I have a message for the Democratic Party, to all those who think the votes of those who've had a chance to vote are more important than mine, and to all those that think arbitrary Party rules and punishments are more important than the individual voters of Michigan and Florida:
If you don't let me vote now, don't come looking for my vote in November.
If you tell me my opinion and vote don't matter now, don't come looking for my vote in November.
If the Party can't figure out how to run a fair primary, don't expect my support in November of any other Democratic candidates.
If, as chairman Dean so ineloquently phrased it, he believes supporters of Senator Clinton just need to "shut up" so the Party doesn't split, don't be surprised when you find out I'm not willing to vote for Senator Obama if he should be on the ballot in November, I've been trying to tell you that for some time.
I'm not being childish, I have grave concerns about Senator Obama's experience and Chicago ties. As far as I'm concerned, Senator McCain would be a safer alternative. Also, I'm not so sure I even like the Democratic Party anymore, its behavior this season has not impressed me.

Hillary Clinton is in it to WIN it! Hillary Clinton is a fighter who has shown great courage and determination. This is exactly the type of person this country so desperately needs. We want a president who will work hard to get this country back on track.
Hillary Clinton supporters don't get intimidated easily. We are a tenacious bunch. There are 10 more contests, FL and MI votes need to be counted, and if this must go to the convention, we're prepared to support her all the way. Go HILLARY! 08!

Just met the Prez today in Portland Oregon. His wife will be in town next week-end.
You ROCK Hillary!

Unfortunately, I am going to have to leave the Democratic party because it is no long a party where voters have the freedom of choice. This has become a cult, and I refuse to drink the Kool-Aid! I will give my local party notice because I have always been very active in volunteering, etc. NO LONGER. If Obama is GIVEN the nomination, thanks to the biased media and the throngs of mindless "fans" who obviously know very little about anything Obama has done or might have a plan to do, and thanks to the Democrats who are jumping on the bandwagon hoping to gain the favor of their new-found savior, and thanks to Pelosi who does not want any woman more powerful than she, and thanks to the "good ol' boys" in Congress who do not want a female as their leader. I will be voting for John McCain! -- or Ralph Nader -- or Mickey Mouse if he gets on a ballot somehow! Right now I think the Obamacrats would swoon if Barack just stood behind a microphone and recited the alphabet with a smile on his face. He should be on Broadway -- could probably win a Tony Award for his outstanding perfomance impersonating a president!

Hillary should listen to John Kerry's calls to drop out of the race.
He knows from experience the uber popular candidate always wins against the hated Republican.
Oh wait...he lost to Bush didn't he?
He is the LAST PERSON who should say how and how not to win THE PRESIDENCY!
Posted by: John | Mar 31, 2008 4:00:56 PM
Muzza,
You are obviously an ardent Hillary supporter, which is great. As an Obama supporter (and volunteer, and donor, etc.) I appreciate the time it takes to get excited about a candidate. You're obviously excited about Hillary.
I am disappointed that you lump together the Obama campaign with "media" and "DNC" as spreading lies and intimidating Hillary, especially because any are sexist. We as Democrats have to resist the standard, worn out wars of the past that turn every critique of a woman into a sexist remark and every criticism of a black man into a racist remark. They aren't. Hillary and Barack both have flaws, neither is perfect. There are sexists and racists out there. But it isn't true that all Barack supporters are sexists any more than it's true that all Hillary supporters are racists.
America has elected plenty of women to the Senate and House, to governorships, to CEOs and other high profile positions. We are not yet equal, but this country is not the sexist place you describe in your post (in my opinion). A woman will eventually become president; it's bound to happen, as it has in many other countries all over the world. That woman is unlikely to be Hillary, though, at least in 2008.
I hope that, come this summer and fall, you'll be able to take a fresh look at the Obama campaign that you now so despise -- especially when it is being attacked by the right wing of this country that wants another Bush term in John McCain -- and consider working with us to return the White House to the Democrats. Without your help we won't get there.
thanks
your Obama friends

A Real Texan,
Thanks for your comments. I agree with your observation about Chelsea -- I had forgotten she was 28! It is true, anyone who has taken as large a role as she has in the campaign (and she gets plenty of press for her events) ought to be willing to at least speak with the reporters giving her chosen campaign free publicity. If she were 16 it would be different, but she is a grown woman and should be treated like anyone else. Interesting.
Posted by: dan | Mar 31, 2008 3:48:12 PM
Muzza, are you kidding me. They don't fear her, they can't stand her. They are tired of the Clinton machine and their bully tactics.
Posted by: lulu | Mar 31, 2008 3:47:20 PM
Irma,
I respect your decision to support Hillary, but you cannot reasonably state that the Democratic party is "not listening" to the voices of its members.
42 separate contests have been held all over the US, and Barack Obama has won more of them, more popular votes and more delegates than Hillary. Yes, there are still more voices to hear, but the vast majority of the country -- the vast majority of Democrats -- have already done so.
Please don't fall into the media-driven trap of believing that you, a Hillary supporter, are somehow being "disenfranchised" or that anything is being stolen. Every election has been held according to the rules set up to govern it. Your candidate is simply losing, and will likely lose. It may be hard to swallow, but it does not mean anyone was cheated.
Posted by: dan | Mar 31, 2008 3:45:27 PM
Regardless of what she did or didn't say (and who would honestly trust any journalist these days given the LIES we have been force-fed in the past 3 months!), it remains TRUE that Hillary Clinton is beeing BULLIED by SEXIST men! And why? Because they fear her.
Heck, it's a man's world, where patriarchy has reinged for an eternity. Why would these men want to hand over their power so willingly? They are the corrupt products of a sexist society! I have full confidence in Hillary Clinton's ability to withdstand and overcome the IGNORANCE and JEALOUSY of those men who seek to shut her down.
We all know why they want her out...it's so blatantly obvious. It's because they KNOW she has the grassroots support to WIN this nomination. They want her OUT - by whatever means - so their chosen "candidate" can cheat his way to the nomination. Keep dreaming.
Hillary Clinton has MILLIONS of supporters who have invested emotionally and financially in her campaign. Anyone in their right mind who thinks we are going to SHUT UP and be SILENCED by the INTIMIDATION and LIES of the Media/DNC/Obama coalition, has ZERO idea.
Just wait...Justice will prevail.
Hillary will win. Believe me.
PS - I am MALE.
Posted by: Muzza | Mar 31, 2008 3:43:08 PM
HoosierSue,
I share your frustration with the closeness of the election. Although Barack Obama is extremely likely to come out on top, all signs point to a very close outcome with many millions of supporters on each side, each pointing to reasons why their candidate is the one true choice of the Democratic party.
I have said (and many Obama supporters have said) that they would put party above their own personal preference and vote for Hillary if she were to somehow win. I would hope that you could do the same. The candidates have very, very similar views. They each poll well against John McCain. They each have relatively short careers as public servants (compared to McCain). Neither has military experience. In short, they are very similar.
If you are willing to say up front that you will not vote for Obama if he wins the primary, what you are saying is that you are too bitter or angry to put your party above your personal preference. Hillary herself has said that her supporters should NOT vote for John McCain. Will you ignore this?
I hope you'll reconsider before November. This election is too important for any of us Democrats to let personal pride get in the way of our vote. Spite is not a good enough reason to NOT cast your ballot for Barack Obama in November.
sincerely,
your Obama friends

Politico reports, “During his first run for elected office, Barack Obama played a greater role than he acknowledges in crafting liberal stands on gun control, the death penalty and abortion– positions that appear at odds with the more moderate image he’s projected during his presidential campaign. The evidence comes from an amended version of an Illinois voter group’s detailed questionnaire, filed under his name during his bid for a state Senate. In response to a Politico story, Obama’s answers he never saw questioaire?
Obama said he goofed on votes angered fellow Democrats in the Senate when he voted to strip millions of dollars from a child welfare office on Chicago's West Side. But Obama had a ready explanation: He goofed! Also announced he had fumbled an election-reform vote the day before, on a measure that passed 51 to 6. The next day, he acknowledged voting "present" on a key telecommunications vote. He stood on March 11, 1999, to take back his vote against legislation to end good-behavior credits for certain felons in county jails. "I pressed the wrong button on that," he said. Obama was the lone dissenter on Feb. 24, 2000, against 57 yeas for a ban on human cloning. "I pressed the wrong button by accident," he said. But two of Obama's bumbles came on more-sensitive topics, he backed legislation to permit riverboat casinos to operate even when the boats were dockside. The measure, pushed by the gambling industry and fought by church groups whose support Obama was seeking, passed with two "yeas" to spare -- including Obama's. Moments after its passage he rose to say, explaining that he had mistakenly voted for it.

I would never vote for either democratic candidate. That said, I do believe Clinton is the victim of far left politicians -- mostly, the elite east coast liberal establishment. There's no doubt Obama is more to the left and less to the center than Clinton.
Then, there's the media. It's well known that they lean far to the left -- that, by their own admission. I can't see how anyone who reads the papers or listens to CNN or NBC could possibly believe Hillary is getting a square deal.
So, Hillary will probably loose. The left is betting her followers will be bound to the party enough that they'll rally around Obama. I don't think that will happen. I think there will be ample resentment about how the media and special interest manipulated the coverage and, consequently, the election.
I'm laughing all the way to the polls!

Who wants Hillary to drop out? I don't.
I do want my candidate to win. I listened to their platforms, did my own research and I made up my mind. I worked hard and contributed money to help get my candidate elected.
I really don't care if the other candidate gets demoralized or trounced by American voters. That is entirely their option.
I want the rules followed by ALL candidates and if the rules get broken, I want there to be consequences.
I do want Democrats to ralley behind ONE candidate in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and all the remaining states. I just don't believe that Democratic nominee will or should be Hillary.
I do want BILL CLINTON to drop out of this race since he is NOT eligible for a third term. Like I said there are rules that must be followed.
I do want a 28 year old Chelsea Clinton who campaigns for her mother to take questions from the press. Obviously, she chose to become an active political advocate and as such she SHOULD be prepared for the bad along with the good.
My gosh, I think really all I want is for the democratic process to work.

Check your history. It was Newt's congress that reigned in the budget. Clinton was too busy interviewing interns to take a substantial role in government.

It's Hillary or McCain Democrat for me this year! I have no problem voting for him. Especially, if my only other choice is Mr. Obama. I'm glad she's staying in and dragging this until the convention. I know why they want to force her out! (AND YES IT'S TRUE ABOUT THE WOMAN THING AS THE COMMENTS POINT TO HER HAVING HER PLACE) LOL The reason they want to get her out now is because the Rezko trial could prove to favors for him by Mr. Obama! I mean after all he is on trial for this reason with others in the Illinois political elite. As a major donator for Mr. Obama you cant think that he did just for him out of the goodness of his heart... believe me in my line of business I understand this all too well...

Hoosier Sue; So true, as if making us feel pressure to vote for the party will work. Excuse me, put a party that refuses to listen to it's own member's voices, doesn't deserve our vote. If we are not represented, it is not our party.

No one wants to go back to the great Bill Clinton years, we simply remember the surpluses that Bush deminished. We do however want to go forward with the most qualified, intelligent, knowlegeable person for the job: HILLARY CLINTON. Anyway, we all know now that Obama is a KENNEDY/KERRY PUPPET, they-the "old guard" are the ones Hillary is really running against, meaning it is Hillary who represents "Change".

Dear Obama Friends,
We know you'll need our support come November. YOU WON'T GET IT! What part of "we will not vote for Barack Obama" do you not understand?
Your pleas for a unification are becoming tiresome, and frankly, are beginning to border on stalking. Face it, Obama has brought together everybody he's going to and it isn't enough to win the general election. Perhaps instead of trying to persuade us to support Obama, you should instead concentrate your efforts on encouraging Obamaites to support Hillary since you said you'd have no problem voting for her in the general.
Sincerely,
Hillary Supporters

MC,
I remember the 90's fondly, too, but we can't go back. 2009 is not 1992, and pretending we can just flip a switch and return to those days is foolish. The next President has to govern in a world very different from the world of 1992. Please don't fall into the trap of believing that a vote for Hillary will magically bring back the dot-com surpluses and balanced budget and fun times. It won't.

CNN poll of polls released Monday, which includes the results of several recent major surveys, shows Hillary Clinton with a 14 percent lead in Pennsylvania over Barack Obama.

I do know about the convention rules and organization. If someone is willing to take the results of an fake election where she was the only major candidate on the ballot to the convention, then there will be no question about her character. She said she left her name on the ballot because that election won't count anyway. Was that a misspeak??

So why is everyone upset about Fl and Mi. Of course they will be seated. The dem party can't afford not to.

Who cares what phrasing she used? It's the truth and there's no vulgarity in the statement, so what's the problem? Obvious bullying is happening and we all know it. I find it incredible that we Americans are treated as if we're freakin' retarded or something. Just how dumb are pundits, journalist and people on the Obama campaign to set such low expectations for the public's ability to use common sense and see what is really going on?

The Doom day for our country will be the day Hussein Obama get nominated.
Could any one imagine that extremists are invited to the White House ( Not sure it will then be called The Black House )?
Look at the Obama's circle of friends REALLY MAKE ME SCARE TO DEATH. They are all extremists promoting Hatred, and ANTI-AMERICAN. Are you AMERICAN? IF YES, THEY ARE AGAIST YOU, YES YOU. I MEANS YOU.
WAKE UP VOTE FOR HILLARY OR JOHN MCCAIN.

Oh Please! Hillary is going after sympathy votes. Though I know she's unstable after that lie she told over and over again, I just can't drum up any sympathy votes for her after the Bosnia lie. It would be different had she "misspoke" once, but she did it way too many times for it to be dismissed as a mistake. Her intentions were to mislead the American voters and I sure hope that the people of Pennsylvania and others are smart enough to see through this. Even the little girl in the video, who's now 20 years old, said she was "shocked" to hear that Hillary lied about sniper fire and running for cover in Bosnia. Once a liar always a liar.

West Coast messanger,
Of course Sen. Levin would say that, he was one of the State Democratic leaders and Clinton supporters who set up the January vote in the first place. He disappoints me.

HILLARY IS A ROTTEN CHEAT. SHE SHOULD FIRST PAY HER BILLS TO OHIO FOLKS WHO HELPED HER AND THEN TALK. HOW CAN ANYONE SUPPORT A CHEAT WHO REFUSES TO PAY THE BILLS AS PROMISED? HILLARY HAS NO CHARACTER. CLINTONS HAVE MILLIONS IN THEIR POCKETS AND STILL THEY DECIDE TO CHEAT SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS. SHAME, SHAME ON YOU HILLARY!!! AMERICANS CANNOT TRUST YOU!!!

Come on people. Obama partisans want Hillary to drop out. Clinton fans want her to stay in. It's as simple as that!
Now, on to the issues. Oooppps, I forgot, neither candidate is being specific about issues -- they're flying high above the clouds with raised voices and flailing arms.

I've got a better phrase "The big, huge Whiney, wimpy IDIOTS/JERKS/FREAKS" were trying to push US out. Is that better boys? I'm sure she uses gentlemen when appropriate or fitting.

Terry-
You wanna talk corruption? YOU WANNA TALK CORRUPTION? Can't say you're doing Hillary any favors bringing up THAT SUBJECT!

Stella,
You are spot on. We better not see one more of the Beltway elite stand up and run their mouth, and try to disenfranchise states which they do not represent, the states with the most working class voters, the states that are suffering from the greatest job losses, for which those elite could care less, or there will be a pressure cooker situation in the Democratic party, which will be erupting come August.
