Jack and Hill

March 01, 2008 11:01 PM

"Let's get real about the future," Jack Nicholson implores in his youtube video featuring some of his more memorable characters laying out the argument for Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY.

Many of the characters doing the extolling are, oddly enough, villains. Such as The Joker, Jack Torrance from "The Shining," and the barbarous Lt. Col Nathan R. Jessup from "A Few Good Men," who is shown saying, "there's nothing on this earth sexier -- believe me gentleman -- than a woman that you have to salute in the morning."

We also hear from "Chinatown"'s  J.J. "Jake" Gittes and Robert Dupea from "Five Easy Pieces" -- the chicken salad sandwich scene, though not the great exchange.

For those of you interested in the Nicholson involvement in the Clinton juggernaut, recalls his on-air endorsement of the former First Lady on the Rick Dees Radio Show right after the Superbowl (listen HERE and of course this robo-call placed to Californians on Super Tuesday (listen HERE.)

YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE CAREFULLY PARSED, HEAVILY LAWYERED AND FOCUS-GROUPED TRUTH!

Hillary is awesome. And Hillary should be the next President of the US. That's all Jack's saying and he has every right to say it.

Wes Clark said the same thing here in Lubbock, TX.

He walked in, on time, to Hillary's Lubbock office where about 150 people stood waiting - many of whom were veterans. Some WW II vets. It was a beautiful sight.

Fictional criminal characters endorse Hillary! LOL What a poor compensation of Rockefeller's endorsement of Obama.

Here in Hollywood all the talk is about the copyright problems the demented Nicholson will face for using the intellectual property of film directors and script writers who happen to HATE Hillary Clinton.

Poor Jack. He never thinks twice.

A force, an idea, or a system of beliefs that overcomes opposition — especially if it does so ruthlessly — is called a “juggernaut.”

I agree with the ruthless part

Let's see, this week Obama was endorsed by the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Clinton was endorsed by Jack Nicholson. Who is calling who an empty suit? Hillary, you are the one who is all talk. Obama is the one with the substance. Obama 08!

Jack is right to back Hillary and Oprah

Please tell me you meant "Clinton juggernaut" as a joke.

If Jack Nicholson is yesterday then Oprah is last century. The guy has Oscars and earns $20M per movie. Nice try to shrug off an interesting, creative endorsement. Thanks, Jack - Hillary will appreciate it and you'll rope in some additional votes. Go Hillary Go!
