Obamagirl Responds to Anti-Obama/Anti-Obamagirl Harlem Pastor

March 20, 2008 8:38 AM

On Youtube, via Drudge, I saw this video of this rather…eccentric…Harlem minister, James David Manning, railing against Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., for being a "long-legged mack daddy" who "pimps white women and black women." (Warning: Pastor Manning uses some rather harsh language.)

His main objection seemed to be the "I Got a Crush on Obama" video, which of course the Obama campaign had nothing to do with.

"You don't get your campaign started with a big chested white woman!" Manning railed. "She must be a 54-D! Double-D!"

I emailed our old friend, Amber Lee Ettinger, aka Obamagirl, to get her take on Pastor Manning's video.

"For starters I'm not a 54DD!" she says. "But that video was misleading. It says our 'Crush on Obama' video came from the Obama Campaign, and I have always made it very clear that we did the video entirely on our own. There have been a lot of positive support videos for Obama like the will.I.am one...and I like to put us in that category."

She found Manning's sermon "really offensive," and it's not hard to see why.

Now this so-called preacher - Rev Manning - needs to stop his railing against anyone. He says some awful things about Obama's parents. The rest of what he says is pure 'comic relief.' I was LMAO...

Well, I think they need to have Manning and Wright or his supporters on CNN or Fox and let them talk. Just because he talks against, I guess that means he's bad. He is neither a supporter of BO or Hillary but he is right about a lot that he says. I'm not talking about the clip that is being passed around. I went to his website and listened to a lot of videos and radio plugs. He tells it how he sees it, just like the others or doing but because he doesn't support BO and believe he is the deliverer then he is mentally off. Wise up people and open your minds to others thoughts. Tunnel vision will make fools of you in the end.

Yeah, that video was insane...

To Vanessa, visiting church several times is very different from attending the church every sunday and being associated with the church for the last 20 years.

Barack is an emissary of the devil? If you support him you're less than a maggot? I watched the other people up there. How did they manage to keep from laughing out loud? And what was the woman on the left writing in her book? It's like watching an episode of Lost....

Jake just wanted to compare the number of his readers who clicked on the Manning video vs. the number who clicked on the Obama Girl video. Which video won? I'm guessing.... ;-)

This type of stupidity is what's wrong with America. I can't wait until we get past this racism and sexism and live in a country of the FREE and the home of the brave with RESPECT for others. This why I will be voting for Barack Obama.

I was afraid of Obama turning this campaign into a race issue. I am a man of color, an immigrant, who has found success in this country. I've been color-blind to the opportunity to this country and I feel the country has been color blind toward me. Why do we have to make everything about race? I though obama was going to transcend race -- he appears to be just one of those who dwells on this stuff, just did a job hiding it. There are waaay more important issues than race facing this country - national security, economy...hello! - for once can we put the racial stuff aside and focus on the critical items!

This is just too much...obama now needs to step aside. for being so well educated...both he and his wife have underestimated america and the about of BS we can tolerate. it's over..stop tap dancing...

Pastor Manning is mentally ill and traveling three ways to Crazyland. Everyone in Harlem knows this. Let's move on people. This is not "news."

Obama has STILL not answered the following questions about Jeremiah Wright:

(1) Why did Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Barack Obama vociferously attack Don Imus and call for his dismissal from NBC radio after his comment about the Rutgers basketball team on one of his radio broadcasts, while this trio did nothing about Jeremiah Wright's hatemongering for 20= years? Why is that acceptable?

(2) Why did Oprah Winfrey support Jeremiah Wright for 24 years, when the people he railed against in his church are the same "rich white people" sitting at home in front of their television sets watching Oprah and reading her magazine. The awful things he said about Hillary Clinton were said not just about her, but about 90% of Oprah's viewership. Where was Oprah's outrage? We know Barack and Michelle Obama gave more than $20,000 to Jeremiah Wright. How much did Oprah give?

(3) Barack Obama demanded Hillary Clinton's schedules as First Lady. She produced over 11,000 documents. When is Barack Obama going to produce a calendar of what days he attended Jeremiah Wright's services at Trinity United Church of Christ. Which sermons did he sit in a pew and listen to? Why did he not speak out against Wright when better judgment would tell him Wright's comments were racist, un-American, and unpatriotic?

You go Obama Girl!

Obama couldnt even come in third in a two person race.

One more thing Obama is not responsible for the revote in Michigan not passing. The way the revote was set up is the problem. Why would anyone approve of something that benefits one party and not the othe?. If you want to blame someone blame the DNC.

I love how this is back page news since it is someone Clinton is tied to. If this were someone Obama was tied to it would be headlines. So much for fairness.

Posted by: Tiffany | Mar 20, 2008 11:23:13 AM

Obama would denounce, disown, and any thing else he could DIS. of this Rev. Manning..

Pot meet Kettle.... good can we be done with this now? Back to the issues at hand!
