Obamagirl Responds to Anti-Obama/Anti-Obamagirl Harlem Pastor

March 20, 2008 8:38 AM

On Youtube, via Drudge, I saw this video of this rather…eccentric…Harlem minister, James David Manning, railing against Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., for being a "long-legged mack daddy" who "pimps white women and black women." (Warning: Pastor Manning uses some rather harsh language.)

His main objection seemed to be the "I Got a Crush on Obama" video, which of course the Obama campaign had nothing to do with.

"You don't get your campaign started with a big chested white woman!" Manning railed. "She must be a 54-D! Double-D!"

I emailed our old friend, Amber Lee Ettinger, aka Obamagirl, to get her take on Pastor Manning's video.

"For starters I'm not a 54DD!" she says. "But that video was misleading. It says our 'Crush on Obama' video came from the Obama Campaign, and I have always made it very clear that we did the video entirely on our own. There have been a lot of positive support videos for Obama like the will.I.am one...and I like to put us in that category."

She found Manning's sermon "really offensive," and it's not hard to see why.

If you can sift through it, he does have some interesting things to say. I'm sure the same can be said about Reverend Wright's sermons, for Obama supporters. But at least this guy doesn't preach "God damn America."

Any re-vote here in Michigan - it was screwed from the very beginning.

For a start - here's why:
A) Cross-over votes in the Dem Primary means some Dems voted Romney and some Reps voted Clinton - any revote would only allow those who voted Dem in Jan to partake in re-vote.
B) Cost - who can afford the 12 mil to stage the revote? Certainly not us MI voters or citizens.
Split 50/50.

You may remember (oh, I forgot about your selective memory). The candidates agreed to keep their names OFF our primary and the Sen. Clinton put hers on anyway. Gee, that seemed real fair.

How is this man even a pastor???"

Vanessa, that is what most non-blacks say about Rev. Wright. You see what I mean.

They are both nut jobs!!

Jake ~
A bit off the hoopla re. Manning.

How about addressing why Obama wants to dismiss Democratic Michigan voters?

I must admit I did not watch the videoclip in its entirety. Other side of the argument.

Framers of the constitution got it right with the separation of church and state.

Interesting to watch. If you do not condemn Rev. Wright and Sen. Obama for his longtime relationship with him, you have no business criticizing this preacher.
