Roger Stone and the Spitzer Scandal
March 23, 2008 12:26 PM
Republican consultant Roger Stone -- whom our friend Ben Smith describes as "the GOP trickster known, among other things, for an allegedly unorthodox sex life" -- has taken a particularly schaudenfreudian relish in watching the political demise of former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D), writing that call girl and erstwhile "Girls Gone Wild" star Ashley Dupre shouldn't be the only one to profit from the Eliot Mess.
At his Web site, Stone proposes book titles for Spitzer and his poor wife.
Stone's glee is rooted in an ugly history with the former governor.
And the Miami Herald reports there's even more to it than that.
On Nov. 19, an attorney for Stone sent a letter to the FBI alleging that Spitzer ''used the services of high-priced call girls'' while in Florida, which Stone learned from ''a social contact in an adult-themed club.''
Ick.

Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Roger Stone and the Spitzer Scandal:
"Stone's glee is rooted in an ugly history with the former governor."
Stone's "glee" is rooted in the fact that he is a average scumball the right has pumped out for years. They simply glee over any dirty trick they pull. This is who they have been conditioned to be. Like Coulter and Savage, Stone is their hero.

The fundamental problem causing the mortgage crisis is a tax system that rewards people for borrowing and spending money rather than for saving it or for furthering their education.
Thay knew this was coming for a long time.

Who really cares about Spitzer anymore when we have the corruption, hypocracy, and anti-American hate speech given by the lunetic racist Rev. Wright?
Now Obama is trying to distance himself from his pastor, but the fact remains that he is damaged goods. The information that is out on Obama is very damaging to not only himself, but also the Democratic party:
Obama cannot be trusted and must leave!

Spitzer hurt little people with his prosecutions? You mean the multi-millionaires that were fleecing wall street and average people? I wonder who you consider big people.

Look Spitzer hurt many little people with his arrogant prosecution so I don't see how anyone in the world would have sympathy for such a man, his family yes but not Spitzer!

Spitzer seemed the only public figure that actively tried to regulate wallstreets major excesses. He should have stayed doing that rather than become governour as he obviously made too many enemies. The damage the big banks and wallstreet and some large corporations have done to our financial system is immense. We need an advocate as obviously the bush administration totally let them get away with appears to be fraud on a grand scale to me. So lets see, destroying America's finances is okay, pay big bonuses to the people on wallstreet doing it, and bust the governor of New York that tried to stop some of their excesses, for paying a call girl. Its totally insane.

Mr. Bunny,
Not fast, it's two hours. Compared to a 30-45 minute plane ride. First Class flight is much more comfortable than a train ride anyday!

Unlike, Larry Craig, David Vitters, William Jefferson, Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, Elliot Spitzer did the right thing - resigned.

Why ... take a cheap train ticket to DC, rather than a flight?!

People who live in the shallow world of stereotypes can get medical help. You should really seek such help. The world looks better when seen objectively.
You can look it up!
