Sunday Church Services With Bill and Chelsea
March 02, 2008 10:17 AM
We're church-hopping with Sen. Hillary Clinton's family this morning. We're at Rev. Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church in Houston right now. It looks exactly like it does on TV.
The former president and former first daughter are in the front row, seeming to enjoy the Grammy Award- winning pop gospel of "Israel & New Breed."
Chelsea Victoria in particular seems to be God-rockin' out. (She's not alone here! The parishioners love it.)
Two more churches to go this morning, followed by a full day of events in smaller, rural towns that Mrs. Clinton needs to turn out for her Tuesday -- Abilene, Wichita Falls, Marshall.
The race here, according to polls, is tighter than a tick.
Happy Sunday to you.

Is this the same guy who fell asleep during a Martin Luther King commemoration?
These folks have no shame.

I agree that there is a pro-Clinton media blitz going on today - barring MSNBC cable - as of 3:00 PM.
I hope that American voters are watching - the media - try to tell us what to do, how to think, and how to vote - for the last time.
And those pro-Obama stories are where?
The Democratic party - needs to cancel the media blitz - and recall what the word 'integrity' means.
Democratic party leaders are doing a lot of damage - to voter's sense of unity and to the party - by allowing this to go on as long as it has. Eleven straight wins is eleven straight wins and thousands of Democratic voters showing up at rally after rally - asking for change - is thousands of Democratic voters showing up at rally after rally - asking for change.
Democratic party leader's 'ears' appear to be closed and the 'superdelegates' that show up to support Mr. Obama after Tuesday - will appear too late for some voters to respect.
'Leadership' - isn't about allowing Mrs. Clinton one last stand due to IOUs or party politics. It's about hearing what the people are trying to tell you - and taking action. To date, 'leadership' in the Democratic party has been lacking - and party/voter unity - is fracturing.
Is is possible that this is exactly what the Democratic leadership wants - so that they can guarantee - that Mrs. Clinton becomes - the nominee? If so, it's a fairly poor - strategy - especially if someone like me - can see it happening.
It's time for the party 'leaders' to get off of the fence - and state their cases. I'm not impressed by their inability - to make a decision on something as important as this.
Mr. Obama needs 12 or 13? Democratic party leaders need to explain - why 11 straight - isn't a loud enough message - for them to hear - or 'good enough.' Who is driving - this bus?

So, the Clinton's visit Joel's Church, What is that leading the congregation to do. They were honored guests and everyone knows H.C. needs to win TX. Don't the Democrats running support stem cell and abortion still and gay rights and ammendments to Constitution of marriage between man and woman. The Clinton's were cheered and applauded. Well, there must have been some Leadership involved with inviting the Clinton's or some poll to show visiting they had enough supporters there. UNBELIEVEABLE. HAD IT BEEN,(WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN MY PASTOR), BECAUSE HE WOULD NEVER COMPROMISE NOT ONE SECOND. MY PASTOR ENCOURAGE US TO VOTE ON PRINCIPLES OF GOD THAT IS HOW WE VOTE. I WOULD MAKE IT A B LINE TO SPEAK WITH MY PASTOR TELL HIM YOU HAVE LOST YOUR MARBLES, WITH ALL DO RESPECT MAY GOD FORGIVE YOU.

So what if politicians make church appearances? I'm glad they do, but I hope it has an effect on their lives.
Some of the other bloggers are commenting on Obama and trying to relate him to Jesus. First off, the Bible says clearly that Jesus is God incarnate, not just some nice young man that God decided to use. Secondly, I know Jesus and Obama is no Jesus. (no one is)

From the Washington Post:
THERE'S THE BEEF
"During the course of our endless presidential campaigns, lots of silly things are said by the candidates and the press. But few are more ridiculous than the idea that Barack Obama is just an empty suit."
"We're talking here about a former president of the Harvard Law Review. Have you ever met the people who get into Harvard Law School? You might not choose them as friends or lovers or godparents to your children, but -- trust me on this -- there aren't many lightweights there. And Obama was chosen by all the other overachievers as top dog. Compared with the current leader of the free world, this guy is Albert Einstein."

This is huge for Hillary Clinton in Texas. "Joel Osteen was featured as one of Barbara Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People of 2006", and was named "Most Influential Christian in America" in 2006 by The Church Report."
Excerpt from the report of the Houston Chronicle.
"Pastor Joel Osteen introduced them from the pulpit to cheers from the crowd gathered in the former basketball arena. Neither Clinton addressed the congregation.
Osteen said Lakewood members have prayed for the former president and his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, who is in the middle of a bruising battle to capture Texas votes in Tuesday's primary in her bid to win the Democratic presidential nomination."
"We just appreciate you serving the country," Osteen said.
He said leaders at the mega-church don't tell members whom they should vote for, saying there were many fine candidates. But he encouraged the crowd to vote.
"This Tuesday is an exciting time for the state of Texas," Osteen said.

Including this post, the last 4 items have promoted Clinton, and the last 6 either have promoted Clinton or featured digs at Obama.
Just keeping score.

Hmmmm did Bill play the saxaphone? Now that would be a news story.
Do the good people of that church remember Bill Clinton not having
S _ _ U_ A_ L_ relations with THAT WOMAN? Do they remember that he was impeached and disbarred?
He took Chelsea as cover. Honestly she was probably the only one who was really welcomed there. Bill himself probably doesn't have enough Sundays left in his miserable life to make up for his transgressions.

Now there is a typical quality of the Obama campaign.
Don't confront an issue that you are uncomfortable with, especially one that is about to be considered in a court of law.
Simply resort to another buzz word of the Obama mantra: change. In this case, change the subject.
Well, we shall see if the news media allows that to happen.

King, I have to admit that your O's fan considers 17 years cover-up is just a MINOR. But I am glad you agree that they the same bad apples...

No-good-judgment, Obama's connection to Rezko is simply NOTHING noteworthy and therefore VERY minor in comparison to for instance the Whitewater scandal that totally involved Hillary Clinton.
You may have forgotton? And others as well (except for Republicans)? Here's part of it.
THE PATTERN of cover-ups began with the first scandal, with the Lyons Report. The great flaw of the Lyons Report was, that if the Clintons had lost $68,900 on Whitewater as Lyons claimed--the loss that, in the media's minds, made moot their fraud--why hadn't they claimed it on their tax returns? On the other hand, they were probably wise not to have done so, since several of the checks they paid to Whitewater, which were counted among their "losses," turn out to have been repayments of loans from Whitewater.
Straightening out Whitewater's finances has been hard, since so many of the records have vanished. Susan McDougal said she gave the corporation's files to the Clintons in 1987; the Clintons can't seem to find them. No one can find the records of the 1984 Clinton gubernatorial campaign, which would include information on Madison Guaranty's 1985 fund-raiser. A gnome in the office of the Arkansas secretary of state told The New Yorker that the microfilms of the records had been stored in a former boiler room. "Bingo! It was all ruined. You'd open the drawers and stench from the acid would knock you down."

King, so you claimed Mr. O is the same bad aplle with less defects??
Mr. O was elected to Illinois senate with the funding of Rezko, again, with the same funding he was able to be elected to US senate... He is running for president with the same funding with Rezko, unfortunately, he was indicted and Mr. O had to do something,
Mr. O has more than 17 years of relationship with Rezko, so you called it minor affiar?? 17 years???

Since Senator Obama's judgment, or lack thereof, seems to be surfacing with great frequency, let's consider that qualilty in greater detail.
As I do every Sunday morning, I watched some of the major network news programs, including ABC's show with George Stephanopoulis.
During the course of the programming, I noticed "judgment" being coopted as a campaign buzz word by the Obama supporters with increasing frequency.
Perhaps we shall all see whether Senator Obama has exercised good judgment with the outcome and aftermath of the Rezko trial that begins tomorrow.
Another item on the news programs that kept jumping out to me were the results of the polls of voters in both Ohio and Texas.
In every poll that considered the demographic of voter race, the black vote was going to Obama by 85 to 90% or more.
In addition, a large majority of the super delegates defecting from Clinton to the Obama campaign were surprisingly enough...black.
However, when considering other demographics with regards to the candidates, the obvious racial bias was not present.
We have all witnessed the Obama campaign, delegates, super delegates, and supporters play the race card with blinding speed whenever it serves their purpose, in most cases to answer questions about Senator Obama.
Anyone who dares to question Barak Hussein Obama, his past, his family, his record, his experience, his potential, or any other of a host of relevant subjects is labeled as racist, hateful, or fear mongering.
As the judgment of Senator Obama, his family, his campaign, and his supporters is adjudicated in the Rezko trials tomorrow, the race card will undoubtedly again be thrown with great haste.
Taking into consideration the obvious racial bias of black voters and supporters as indicated in the polls, we should ask "Who are the real racists?" and pose a pertinent and deserving question.
Will the rest of the electorate allow the race baiting of the Obama campaign and the racial bias and attacks of black voters to influence their choice of presidential candidate, or not?
Perhaps the silent majority will finally stand up and say "enough is enough," thus exercising a virtue truly lacking in Obama qualifications, good judgment.

No-good-judgment, Obama is the only left in this presidential campaign who says he will not be perfect as a President; just as he acknowledges not being perfect as a man or husband. That is what we call honesty. In Hillary Clinton there's no trace of it; she only claims to have 'solutions' for everything. Well, she hasn't, nor has any human being. She is the one overrating herself, she is one playing 'God' in an incredibly lousy and sick performance.
About Rezko: a minor affair, compared with other ones in our national politics, and 'no wrongdoing' on Obama's part as far as we are informed. Besides, Obama already said he made a 'boneheaded' mistake in dealing with Rezko, the returned the money Rezko donated to his campaign, etc. Just as McCain has reflected sincerely on his mistakes in the Keating Five scandal.
The great contrast here is Mrs. Clinton who will tell you she did NOTHING wrong in the Whitewater affair; to mention just ONE of the scandals that haunt the Clintons.
I look forward to the McCain-Obama political fight, exchange of ideas, values, policies etc. With Hillary Clinton we should be glad to lose one the dirty careers and personalities in American politics.

King, both hatred and acting like god are sins.... do you mean you share the same human value as the indicted Rezko like Mr. O..
Posted by: No-good-judgment | Mar 2, 2008 12:02:50 PM
No-good-judgment, I can only say that Mrs. Clinton does everything she can to the Obama's Satan. She will fail miserably.
And I repeat, Obama is not a messiah, he's a poltician. Of a very rare kind. I do think that anyone who cares about the human values as expressed by Jesus Christ should vote for him. The Clintons are no option for those who care.

King, if you read Bible, you should know Jesus was tested ten time by Satan, Jesus showed power of healing to let a blind open his eye again, make dead men alive again... The power of God for life. Jesus is not young or old, he is eternal..
Can O make a dead men alive to claim he is God??
What

So, the media is church hopping. That means we will see coverage of Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain attending church with their children? With due respect, I am awaiting the entrance of the same tone of coverage with great anticipation.
Also, I noticed that this media source is now using the middle name of the children of Senator Clinton. Fair and unbiased coverage would also require the coverage to enlighten us with the middle names of the Obama and McCain children. Such valuable information to consider when making political decisions.
