April 29, 2008

Harrisonville, MO - Today, U.S. Representative Ike Skelton released the following statement regarding the Democratic Presidential contest:

The fallout caused by Obama's ex-pastor
the Rev. Wright controversial anti-white
and anti-American statements, is quite
damaging the candidacy of Obama. This
racially charged-sermons should help the
Dems superdelegates determine the best
electable Democratic Presidential nominee. Sen. Clinton is the right one.

Obama BARELY won Missouri. Hillary was originally projected the winner. Many women are Furious with Claire McCaskill and she didn't win by much in her election. Predict some "CHANGES" in my home state.

Talk about “chickens coming home to roost.” Obama began a vicious campaign against Hillary by going after her character in a shallow, insulting way. He gave praise to Reagan, which of course is fine. However, he took praise a step further (obvious political plan) to bring up Clinton (a fellow Democrat) into a negative light in comparison to a Republican. You Obama, do not use Karl Rove tactics, your tactics are unique in a megalomaniac sort of way, until the real you slips in on the stump; i.e. “Bitter”. You thought that would work, but it simply added to a list of insults you and your campaign have developed for those voting for Hillary or McCain. Everything you have done IS political, no matter how low. But the people didn’t accept your political attacks on them. We believe in issues first as a people, naturally. Who a person is also means a lot. Many of us caught on to who you are long ago. I am glad the rest of America is finally seeing it to. By the way, I am half black and that side of me has cringed at many of the attacks you have made against the Clintons. We know Bill’s weakness. We also know their records. They are good people in general. You Mr. Obama are NO saint. I like Hillary because of her intelligence, determination and proven record of doing the most possible for the people. All of you use politics, but you used it by coming in as a “Unifier” when in fact you were performing a cannibalistic move on a woman who is respected by many. Your attempt to make your views seem elite, proved your elitist attitude in your “I deserve to be President” campaign.

Mary L. I am Barack's supporter and there are 15 million plus of us who have voted for him so far. You are calling him bigot and other derogatory terms. My question to you is,do you expect me and my 15 million friends to vote for Hillary if she wins the nomination,or, your desire is to make us angry and not to vote for any democrat?

Comeon SUPER DELAGATES time to get off the fence. Let your beliefs about Florida and Michigan be known. The DNC can only strip delagates they cannot disallow the popular vote. Either jump on the rapidly sinking TITANIC OBAMA MISTAKE, or cast your support for Hillary, make the race close enuf to quell the Obamabots objections to the enevitable outcome of the convention. Hillary will be the candidate. Then all the Clinton supporters will enthusiastically work to heal the party and unite both camps. It's what we the core Democrats do best.

Obama has heard comfortably Wright for 20 years, why now he is angry. because, wright said ,obama is a politician.

All super delegates and voters should look very carefully at the disgraced Senator Obama (which he brought on himself) and vote for Senator Clinton. Senator Obama used his church and its members, Tony Rekzo, Bill Ayers and the Rev. Wright to launch his political career. Now he is disclaiming all these undesirable people. Obama should fold up his tent and go back to so. Chicago. He is a bigot.

21st Century American.

Okay! Feel better now.

Hey Jake,
Well this shows some of the undecided Super D's have been paying attention and to what democrats want and have got the guts to stand up and say so.

HillLovers, you are testifying that Hill the Bosnian General cannot win alone but she needs Edwards, Wright et al. Sorry for you all. God bless America and God bless Obama.OBAMA08.

Jack,

Don't humiliate people on their gender, age and education level as well as race.
People with high education doesn't mean they are educated in manner and behavior.
If Obama or even McCain in the G.E they will need these voters.
If you don't want them, so ...you know what I mean..good luck!

Joe-Bob,
Your misogynistic attitudes and immaturity is showing. Belittling Clinton supporters does not drum up business for obama!! It only shows people why they do not want to be equated with the obama fan club!

Joe-bob...HA!HA! okay that was a funny response! You win

I feel bad for the obama supporters. obama should have disowned him from the beginning. He still hasn't completely. He said the relationship is damaged.
Hillary has 2 super D's and that is good news. I wish everyone would have listened from the beginning that this wright guy was a racist and bad for the obama camp!!

Hey LL Barra, who cares for chairman of the House Armed Services Committee? Chairman of 911 commission Lee Hamilton endorsed OBAMA, and that matters now in Indiana. After Pensylvania, OBAMA bagged 7 SDs against 4 for Clinton, the Bosnia Sniper fighter. After all primaries Clinton needs 70% remaining supers, and at the rate at which Supers are going, you know who will win the nomination!

Posted by: TwentyFirstCentury American | Apr 29, 2008 4:40:26 PM

After Sen. Obama's press conference today, they should all come out and endorse Clinton. I don't think Sen. Obama did himself any favors today, he just made the Wright issue worse by saying he condemned Wright's comments yesterday. Wright only reiterated what he has been saying for years, why the sudden indignation and anger? Oh, right, he's slipping in the polls now and his advisors probably told him he needed to "distance" himself more. I actually did feel sorry for him though at the press conference, he was struggling for the right words to not totally rip the Rev. but yet appease the voters. He reminded me of George Bush at some of his more difficult press conferences. I hope for his sake he is starting to understand that being President is not going to be easy.

Hillary supporters-White,uneducated bluce collar workers, and people over the age of 65...the truth must really hurt.

Posted by: jack | Apr 29, 2008 4:27:23 PM

Why didn't you blog about the 2 Supers that Obama picked up today. One (Machacek) from Iowa and Rep. Ben Chandler from Kentucky. If you're going to report on SuperDs, then you should give an accurate count per day.

Posted by: IndiDemGirl | Apr 29, 2008 4:24:23 PM

Okay, so now it's 7-4, with Obama ahead, since the PA Primary. And still an overwhelming majority since Super Tuesday.

And he's up 2-1 today!

Obama 2008 -- Yes, WE CAN!!!

If the Edwards decide to back Clinton ahead of the North Carolina vote, that would be significant. Could possibly close the gap with Obama which surely would convince other uncommitted Super D's to seriously back Clinton. The more time Obama has to spend spinning and cleaning up on the Wright issue, the better it is for Clinton.

Posted by: Deborah | Apr 29, 2008 4:20:25 PM

The Super D's know Rev. Wright will never go away.

Posted by: Tina from Florida | Apr 29, 2008 4:15:08 PM

Yeah. I wish this would have happened months ago.

Posted by: benj | Apr 29, 2008 4:14:46 PM

I find it extremely funny to read posts from irate Obama backers whenever Hillary gets any legitimate good news. Two Super D's today and Tapper all of a sudden a Clintonite for reporting on same? LOL.

Posted by: Deborah | Apr 29, 2008 4:14:17 PM

Finally, SD opened their eyes.
Go Hillary...
Good luck!
