Watch the spot HERE.

When are you going to fact check Obama's totally conflicting stories about his affiliation with Rezco?

Is it fair to say that a biography should include real characters? If so why did Obama's have so many composites?

Can you let us know which of Wright's statements Obama has an issue with? Was obama in the habit of sleeping in church in order to miss Rev Wright's most inflammatory sermons?

Also since Barack has reaffirmed his support for sex eduction in kindergarden because he didn't want his children "punished with babies"....can someone please let us know if his children believe that AIDS is a government invention created to harm Black's? Apparently Obama's spiritual mentor believes and teaches this and I really think someone should ask!

Does the media think that it is acceptable for Obama to purchase a home with money funneled from an Iraqi millionaire that may or may not be involved with terrorists? What has been happening on the Rezco case anyway? We have a presidential candidate with close ties with the most corrupt fixer in IL politics....I am a little concerned that the tabloid media does not think this is news.

Why don't ya'll do a poll to see how much of the American public knows who Rezco is.

The truth about things can be located,,,just not in the mainstream media. Check out the Chicago Sun Times and you can find out who Obama is.

The attack over the "hospital story" which Hillary always said was told to her by a deputy sheriff tells me that the media will stop at nothing to sell us Obama.

Check out fox news for an interview with the deputy sheriff that told Hillary the "hospital" story...Don't trust anything you read here.

I listened to hillary's MLK speech. Her ability to lie in any given situation is astounding. I was in college at the same time hillary was, and backpacks were non existant at the time. they came into common use in the mid 1970's. Another hillary rememberence which never occurred but is far more dramatic than the reality.

Is it just me, or is there a name missing there? The same name that's been missing from similar stories for, oh, at least a decade now.

i see you remmoved my question about
larry sinclair and obama
this is not fair

Fact is, McCains too lame and Baracks a born again liar. There IS only one candidate fit to be PRESIDENT of USA (the toughest job in the world some say). It always takes a Woman to "keep house", perhaps because, unlike men, women are lateral thinkers and it will take a Woman to clean up the mess in the White House!
Guys, before you start attacking me for being a Woman, remember where you came from and make your Momma's proud of you! ;)

7:26 on the Web re: Mark Penn resigns

Penn steps down as Clinton chief strategist Posted: Sunday, April 06, 2008 7:26 PM by Mark Murray
Filed Under: 2008, Clinton
From NBC's Mark Murray and John Boxley
Mark Penn, who recently met with the Colombian government regarding a trade deal that Hillary Clinton opposes, has resigned his post as the Clinton campaign's chief strategist.

"After the events of the last few days, Mark Penn has asked to give up his role as chief strategist of the Clinton campaign," campaign manager Maggie Williams said in a statement. "Mark, and Penn, Schoen and Berland Associates, Inc. will continue to provide polling and advice to the campaign."

Williams added, "Geoff Garin and Howard Wolfson will coordinate the campaign's strategic message team going forward."

Per sources in the campaign, Hillary Clinton was disappointed with Penn's meeting with the Colombian government. She is a big opponent of the trade pact. Penn knew that he had made error in judgment and realized over the weekend that he would need to step down as chief strategist.

Clinton agreed.

raven,

If I still have the email I will do so.

Posted by: countallthevotes | Apr 6, 2008 8:38:32 PM

@countallthevotes
"I got an email about it from NYT before westcoast messenger even posted it. I have set up alerts. I am definitely not anyone's insider."

Could we verify that? Please copy @ paste (the hillbillies'favorite pastime anyway) the text of that e-mail and the time it was sent.

Not that I don't believe you, but please verify your statement to do away with any suspicion.

"Yeah, Hillary will win eventually!!"

Sure she will! But what will it be? Snakes and ladders, flea circus, trivial pursuit?

Posted by: freda | Apr 6, 2008 6:57:15 PM

Good news. Mark Penn is leaving Hillary's campaign. He really has been giving her bad advice. Now we can finish out the remaining 10 contests on a high note and take this election.

Obama is still green behind the ears!

I Think many delegates are backing Obama due to the fact he is new, naive and inexperienced. He can be their puppet and public speaker, to talk the American people into anything they want to do.

Obama has proven His knowledge base is based on what others have told him. He has proven His own personal ideas can be swayed to the needs of others. He has proven he go's along with the crowd and he says what people want to hear.

He has proven His high motivational speeches can twist the minds of the public to beleive what he says. Making it easy to talk them into or believe what he says.

He has proven he is someone who can lie on their best friends and family and has no scruples.

He has proven he can lie and the media brushes them off.

He has proven he can blame anyone for anything

From the NYT:

From an August 11, 2000, New York Times article:

Among her other accomplishments, Mrs. Clinton said she helped to initiate and promote the Children's Health Insurance Program, created by Congress in 1997 to provide $24 billion over five years to states to insure children.

"She was a one-woman army inside the White House to get this done," Mr. Littlefield of the Health, Education and Labor Committee said. He said that he and Senator Kennedy, the Massachusetts Democrat who was the major force behind the bill, enlisted Mrs. Clinton's help in the spring of 1997 when the president became "skittish" about the program. Mr. Littlefield said the Senate majority leader, Trent Lott, was threatening that it was a "deal buster" on the balanced budget agreement that he and Mr. Clinton had reached.

"At that point we went to Mrs. Clinton and said, 'You've got to get the president to come around on this thing,' " Mr. Littlefield said. "And she said, 'Absolutely.' And we very quickly noticed a change. The president was very much on board."

Clinton’s claim RE: SCHIP – She said that she HELPED create SCHIP – and that is clearly true (Ted Kennedy in 2007: “The children's health program wouldn't be in existence today if we didn't have Hillary pushing for it from the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue”)

Clinton’s claim RE: NAFTA – David Gergen : "I was actually there in the Clinton White House during the NAFTA fight and I must tell you Hillary Clinton was extremely unenthusiastic about NAFTA.” I’ll grant you that it’s probably fair to say she kept her criticism inside the White House.

Obama’s claim RE: the IVI/IPO questionnaire: You didn't mention that Obama was also interviewed by that group and filled out an amended questionnaire. And - his campaign is STILL denying that he approved, signed-off on or even saw those answers. And you didn’t mention that IVI/IPO based their endorsement of Obama for IL Senate on that questionnaire and they're not happy that he’s denying some of his answers now.

Yes, Obama gave anti-war speech in 2002. However, in 2004, during his US senate campaign, he publicly stated his beliefs in US forces remaining in Iraq to stabilize the war-ravaged nation.
It does not make much difference his objecting C. Rice when in fact he did vote for her confirmation.

In my opinion, both democratic candidates are not trustworthy. It seems that now, Mrs. Clinton fell into Mr. Obama's category -- "just words".

Posted by: magda | Apr 6, 2008 4:49:45 PM

It comes down to voting self-interest and conscience. All the history is simply a way of getting a sense of the character of the candidate. Politics is and always has been a mean business, but in the face of a problem that affects all the people all the time, the candidate of character does the right thing.

I have to interview candidates for jobs every day. I hear lots of speeches. I pose test questions and see how they will solve the problems I present. The ones who can offer a solution I know will work gets the job.

Hillary has a much longer history of doing the right thing when every vote is stacked against her. I'm going with the big girl. When Obama puts together a successful career as a leader instead of a man running for office, I'll consider him, but on this pass, if not Clinton than McCain.

On the other hand, I'm in Alabama and my vote for Hillary didn't count. This is the absolute center of the vote-your-skin-color-regardless voter, so in November, McCain wins. I have to hope Pennsylvania is smarter than Alabama.

Posted by: len | Apr 6, 2008 4:43:40 PM

Jake Tapper needs to FACT CHECK MCCAIN! I am TIRED of the media giving McCain a FREE RIDE.

McCain has made MANY misstatements and the media just IGNORES IT.

Posted by: Maritza | Apr 6, 2008 4:30:20 PM

The flaws in Hillary's history cannot be covered up by applying a heavier coat of concealer. And when they come to light, they are not very reassuring at all.

Posted by: kravitz | Apr 6, 2008 4:26:21 PM

Sloppy reporting, Jake. I can run off a list of the lies and "misspeaks" that can be attributed to John McCain.

But why cover the full story when you only want to fill 2:30?

Posted by: Jeremy B | Apr 6, 2008 4:06:18 PM

OBAMA08: YOU HAVE IT ALL WRONG: IT'S GOD DAMM AMERICA AND THE U.S. OF K.K.K. - NOW YOU REMEMBER!!! OBAMA LIES ABOUT EVERYTHING; KENNEDY GAVE DADDY THE TICKET TO COME TO THE U.S - FALSE; PARENTS MET AT THE SELMA MARCH - FALSE; DON'T TAKE OIL MONEY - FALSE;AFTER 20 YEARS OF LISTENING TO HIS RACIST PREACHER HE WOULD HAVE LEFT THE CHURCH - YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING; ETC.

Put ABC to run the country seem like they never distort the truth and as a media house has always been above board.

tony, the difference between Obama and Hillary is that Hillary is a Bosnian General who is specializing in snipers' brigade. Agreed with Dom that beyond McCain's flip flop from on tax cuts, torture, etc, this is the time to add him to the list and vet waht he is saying as WBush has done in 2000 when he was running against McCain in the republian primaries. God bless America and God bless Obama. OBAMA08.

Posted by: BKMC | Apr 6, 2008 3:31:41 PM

It's not just that politicians bend the truth every now and then, these two candidates tell outright lies every day. And bold lies at that.

They really do believe their followers are too ignorant to understand what's being done to them. Hmmm -- maybe they are???

Posted by: Surelock Homes | Apr 6, 2008 3:17:38 PM

Since he wasn't included in this piece, should I guess that McCain hasn't lied recently. It's no wonder that McCain is doing so well in the polls.

Posted by: Dom | Apr 6, 2008 3:17:19 PM

Water broad All of them for the truth

Posted by: Bubba | Apr 6, 2008 3:10:23 PM

Jake you have the temerity to run that story again even though factcheck has discredited Kennedy's attempt to downplay Clinton's contribution to the children's health plan? Of course she didn't "create" it -- that's just drama for the commercial. Kennedy didn't create it either -- federal money, presidential signature, state implementation, agency involvement "created" it.

Obama has other lies too - the Kennedy/Selma thing was a good one. But of course, in your greedy and angry zeal to stain Clinton, you focus primarily on her. YOU ARE ONE-SIDED

Posted by: tony | Apr 6, 2008 3:01:26 PM

Like all politician they all tell lies and half-truths, that's politics.
