Why Can't Obama Just Eat His Waffle? No, Seriously, Why? I Mean Really, for the Love of Pete!
April 21, 2008 7:44 PM
Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, hasn't made himself available to his traveling press corps for questioning since April 11.
At the Glider Diner in Scranton, Penn., this morning, he and Sen. Bob Casey, Jr., ordered some breakfast. Waffles, sausage and orange juice for himself; pancakes for Casey.
An NBC reporter sidled up and asked him if he'd heard about former President Jimmy Carter's meeting with Hamas.
"Why can’t I just eat my waffle?" Obama asked.
Obama is remarkably inaccessible to the press in comparison with his Democratic rival, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, who has availabilities every couple days, and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz, whose life is a non-stop avail.
Last Friday, a desperate reporter threw Obama a rare question on the tarmac. Obama answered. The next time reporters were on the tarmac -- coming back from that event -- they were kept at bay about 20 feet behind Obama.

I think we all should be asking ourselves why Hillary has chosen to use the idea of nuking Iran as a political football during a primary campaign. How irresponsible is that? This from someone who has constantly derided Bush's "Cowboy Diplomacy"?!?!?!

All pols lie, some more than others. Some are actually damn good at it. Some talk as if a lie were the truth...they've convinced themselves of it. Sadly, Hillary has squandered any high ground she had with her causes because she will stop at nothing to gain power, power she feels is owed to her. She waited till Obama had an insurmountable lead to start hammering him. Huh!??!?!
She put up with Bill's BS for 30 years to be in this position. Actually, she continues to put up with it. Without Bill's nasty gaffs she would have this thing sealed up by now. This couple has way too many issues between them to be put in any position of power. Hillary can't even run her own campaign, how can she be expected to run the country? No money, no organization, what the hey!?!?!?
Who the hell wants to go through another 4-8 years of cut thraot politics? You think any red/purple state Dem/Rep will vote for a Hillary health care plan? Seriously. Which one of them wants to go back to their constituents and say "Re-elect me, i voted for HillaryCare!"? No one will want to do that. It's a no win situation.

Hey Cali Girl who said, "I expect more from my President AND Harvard grads."
Considering that Kennedy and Kerry are both Harvard Graduates and Presidential Losers, maybe we shouldn't expect much from Harvard Grads...or is it just a small group of Harvard Liberal elites that try and get what they want by cheating and using their Harvard connections? Obama is a wimpy waffler and one has to wonder about the grads Harvard is turning out...

Do you still have the Dr Maya Angelou essay for Hillary?. Would you please to post it again?
I'd like to save it.
Thanks

Just heard on TV that his uneaten waffles are being auctioned off on E-Bay. Wonder when his dirty socks and dirt politics will be auctioned off?????. Can't believe this man. He is so childish and full of his own ego.
Will be very glad when this election is over and he goes back to Chicago.

Given what a crappy job the press usually does? I'd avoid them too.
I guess that Obama should realize that he should butter up the press so that they can start covering up his gaffes or even potential real stories as much as they do for McCain. Who not so coincidentally, had a bit shindig at one of his 8 homes where he treated the press to dinner and facials. Oh silly Obama, don't you know how that the press are their to be used and manipulated? I mean, look at how wonderfully the press helped get us into war with Iraq.
What are some waffles compared to that? Maybe soon he'll learn to play the game more and not just distrust the media for the bottom-feeding scum they have generally degenerated into these days, and instead use them because that's what they are.

Read the CBS article "Bad Company" dated april 13, 2008 for a glimpse of what an Obama presidency may look like.
America doesn't deserve this kind of hatred. I love my country.

Of course they are keeping Obama away from the press, just like they did when "W" campaigned. Obama is sitting on his lead, trying to run out the clock on Hillary, and trying not to fumble the ball. When Obama is not reading from a script in front of an adoring crowd he is apt to say something pretty dumb. When he has to answer real questions from real people, including the press, he makes mistakes. Consider his performance in debates, where he either says "Yeah, like she said ..." referring to Hillary, or simply stares back at the camera like a deer in the headlights.
Oh yeah, this is who we really want to go toe-to-toe with the Russkies for us.

JG,
If you haven't seen any probelms with Obama, then you haven't done your research and clearly aren't going to do any.
Anyone who has half a clue about Hillary's baggage and hasn't looked into Obamas is frankly too scared to look because they know they will find it.
Anyone who claims that Hillary has run a mean campaign and hasn't run down the entire quotes and what was actually said and in response to what. Is too scared to see who Obama really is.
Anyone who thinks that Obama isn't taking money from lobbists and thinks he is just accepting donations from it's employees. Frankly, have never worked in a Fortune 500 company and seen the memos of how companies secure donations from employees to get around laws. It it extorted donations often with a unspoken perk for doing so.
This whole ruse that Obama is upbove it all doesn't fly when 11 slums in his district went without heat so that Rezko could have gold fixtures in his bathroom. It doesn't fly when he claims he is against utilizing Yucca Mountain in Nevada, when Exelon, Illinois largest utility is, and an Obama supporter, is trying to force their waste on other states. Or the fact that Ayers' father was CEO of Commonwealth Edison, who is owned by Exelon.
There is a lot in Obama's past, but I doubt any of this makes a difference. Because if you haven't looked and judged for yourself, and are expecting others to do your work for you, then you are perfect as one of his supporters.
He likes doing the same. His stole MLKs tone....JFKs words....and Ceasar Chavez' battle cry. He is lazy intellectually and when you watch debates or him run from questions. That becomes a more glaring fact.
I expect more from my President AND Harvard grads.

Obama didn't back out of any debate. He actually agreed to one BEFORE Hillary did. She couldn't make it and agreed to another one on a different date. Now Obama couldn't make it. Why don't people on these boards actually read the articles and not the headlines. If everyone did their research in this country we wouldn't be where we are now!!! Now be quiet and let the man eat his waffles.

"Before the race began, I started doing my research. I started reading about the man. He's done amazing things with his life for a lot of people. The average American - of every color. That's why there are so many rallying behind him. They actually KNOW about him. After all I learned about his experiences and work.."
lol! This is a meme the Obama campaign is sending out through fake comments by astroturf posters. I saw the same thing posted elsewhere earlier today.
A total crock, unless the "research" was done at Obama's own website. Not only has Obama not even won a campaign on his own (every opponent has been forced out of the race, just as they've been trying to force Hillary) but none of Obama's listed "accomplishments" were his own...they were hijacked from the lawmakers who actually authored and worked on the bills, and given to Obama by king-makers. Obama is a fraud...his willingness to defraud people is proven by this. And according to the Washington Post, he's been doing the same thing in DC...horning in on press conferences and laying claim to bills he had nothing to do with.
Anyone who really researched him would find this, so NICE TRY with the astroturf meme, but you're shilling for a fraud and we know it.
Oh...and I guess Obama was busy EATING WAFFLES when his constituents in his home district were freezing in apartments without heat after slum lord Rezko kept the taxpayer money Obama recommended him for.

I find it funny that people are defending Obama, the press is in his corner since day one , they were so bad they made Hillary feel like a Republican for how they treated her though she was treated better.
Now one debate he is asked a couple of tough questions and he cowers, is that because people now want to see substance!!
Whats he going to do if asked a question by a leader of another country, tell him he is afraid.
This guy is a disaster of of Global proportions.
No wonder he would not go on FOX, If you libs were smart you would of wanted you candidates in the toughest questions during the primaries so you could weed them out. Now you are stuck with the two weakest people, well thank you!!

Gallup Poll: Obama Widens National Lead
Obama has widened his lead over Sen. Hillary Clinton nationally for the Democratic presidential nomination, according to a USA Today/Gallup Poll.
Obama leads Clinton, 50% to 40%.
RCP Average for the Democratic Presidential Nomination is at an all time high today, a 9,6 lead for Obama.

Obama is a fraud and a phony. Wake up, people! He is weak on policy and he stumbles every time he is without a speech or teleprompter in front of him. He is a media and DNC manufactured creation, much like Bush. Please do not vote for an inexperienced neophyte. This country cannot afford an apprentice. The cLintons are flawed but we can sleep at night knowing they will do anything to fix the mess Bush has left us in. They are both bright and Mrs. Clinton has many ideas and policies she wants to push through.

According to a CNN report last night, well over 40% of Obama's campaign supporters have maxed out their legal limit on donations.
With Clinton, only about 20% of supporters have hit that legal limitation on donations.
The August convention is still about three months away.
And, McCain and the Republicans have spent next to nothing...yet...

Just for reminders.
If Hillary will win today, as she probably will (for Governor Rendell already told that a lot of white folks in PA would never vote for a black candidate), nothing will have changed in this race.
Except for two things.
1. Obama's lead will have became MORE insurmountable if Hillary wins PA with less than 63% of the vote. If she wins with 63%, Obama's lead will be JUST AS insurmountable as before. Hillary has no chance of winning the large state of North Carolina.
2. Hillary's campaign will in be historic financial problems, with a historic high amount of debts, after this month of April. She started the month with more than 10 millions in debt and 8 million in cash. This was her most expensive month so far, while her donations have slowed down. The campaign will a financial wreck on May 1, with all the serious consequences.

Michael Moore endorses Obama
Fresh off the wires today, filmmaker Michael Moore is endorsing Barack Obama for president:
I want to say a word about the basic decency I have seen in Mr. Obama. Mrs. Clinton continues to throw the Rev. Wright up in his face as part of her mission to keep stoking the fears of White America. Every time she does this I shout at the TV, "Say it, Obama! Say that when she and her husband were having marital difficulties regarding Monica Lewinsky, who did she and Bill bring to the White House for 'spiritual counseling?' THE REVEREND JEREMIAH WRIGHT!"
But no, Obama won't throw that at her. It wouldn't be right. It wouldn't be decent. She's been through enough hurt. And so he remains silent and takes the mud she throws in his face.
That's why the crowds who come to see him are so large. That's why he'll take us down a more decent path. That's why I would vote for him if Michigan were allowed to have an election.

I don't care what anyone says -- in the primaries, this will help him, if anything.

Obama is surrounded, endorsed by, and apparently in simpatico with anti-Semites. Of course he doesn't want to answer questions about why Hamas is thrilled with the idea of his becoming POTUS.

I doubt that all the blogging that has taken place during this campaign has changed anyones choices....at least not in the comments section.
It has made me more certain than ever that I will vote for McCain if hillary doesn't make it. I don't want the kind of change that represents a candidate that is all "sound and fury signifying nothing."
Obama seems like a nice guy...he consistantly lies about his policy record, his associations and his experience. And he has not been called on it by the press. He is far to scripted for me.
Did anyone see M Moores endorsement? The funny thing about it is that he said that Obama was inexperienced and had a voting record that did not match the policy he advocates....Moore was all for "the movement not the man".
Shades of Sinclair Lewis...I do think that Obama is more like Bush than any other candidate...Remember when Bush convinced America he was a "centrist"? My problem is Obama really is all over the place. I would assume from his record he would be ultra liberal. But it really is hard to tell because I think in the Senate anyway Kennedy and Kerry are telling him how to vote.

@Hillary is a STRONG CANDIDATE,
I think we should get the facts right - Please.
Obama had agreed to another debate for the 19th, which HRC backed-out on. Obama did not make a noise about it. It took her a month, before she decided to back-out of it. Later HRC now said she wants another debate for the 27th, which Obama's camp is yet to respond to. Following the fact that there are no much differences between the candidates, the DNC in N.C decided to cancel the debate. This idea of HRC spinning everything in a way to smear Obama is not fair and is honestly not democracy. I am not an Obama supporter, but I am truly disappointed w/ Hillary. She is making a mockery of our democracy.

Interesting.... How come reporters are not asking McCain about Cindy's tax return. Is Obama the only front runner. McCain is also a front runner and he is having a free press ride. Ask McCain about Cindy McCain's tax returns, his medicals, and some of his recent gaffes on ABC interview w/ Stephanopoulos, where he seems to imply that people with 401K plans would therefore be paying higher capital gains taxes under the Obama plan.

It is sadly apparent that not one person who's posted snide ignorant remarks knows anything about Barack Obama. What motivates a lynch mob?
He's got a bad taste in his mouth for debates that focus on drivvel instead of important issues. Many were completely disgusted by the last inane line of debate questions.
Before the race began, I started doing my research. I started reading about the man. He's done amazing things with his life for a lot of people. The average American - of every color. That's why there are so many rallying behind him. They actually KNOW about him. After all I learned about his experiences and work, I knew who I needed to see in the White House. George Bush bears absolutely no resemblance to this man. George Bush is a self-serving idiot. This is not Barack Obama by a long shot. He has no reason to avoid real questions. He hasn't in the past. He's simply learned the tricks of the media and won't entertain it. And he shouldn't. When they start asking real questions, he's got the answers for them. When they continue to harp on Rev. Wright, he's correct to banish them to the sidelines. (And I finally heard what Rev. Wright said. It actually offended no one. People, get a life.)
What do we know about Hillary? She hasn't done one third as much as he has in office. And the woman has the reputation of a bitch. She spouts the same rhetoric and hollow promises as all those who've come before her. She is truly another "George Bush".
If anyone has some real, informed critism of Barack and not more snide, ignorant, opinionated taunting - I'd be interested. Haven't seen any yet.

And by the way, the ABC story 'Clinton on Iran Attack - Obliterate Them' leads into another piece on the site.
John Hagee, the controversial McCain supporter, would evidently want Israel to get into a nuclear war with Russia. He denies it if you ask him, so you have to do a lot...and I mean a lot...of reading about what he's said in the last few years. You can't research through the CUFI website - the site has been scrubbed on any controversial topics. You may have to infiltrate the church.

After the Obama inauguration, will there be a period where the media reflects on allowing double standards in coverage, the mere unfiltered reproduction of press releases and conference calls, etc. And perhaps investigate how a certain public relations firm uses its size in an attempt to bully open forums such as this.
Hillary's campaign is TEN MILLION DOLLARS IN THE HOLE. And here, the topic is Obama having breakfast.
Minds have been lost.

obama refused another debate?
I am not suprised. Geo. bush refused to debate anymore with al. gore.
why?
if you believe in what you are offering
and you know what you are talking about.
you can defend it.
VOTERS OF PA.-THE MEDIA TRIED TO TELL YOU HOW TO VOTE.
THE DNC HAS TRIED TO TELL YOU HOW TO VOTE,
THEY SILENCED MI,
THEY SILENCED FL.
VOTERS OF PA. LET THE MEDIA, OBAMA, AND EVERYONE ELSE KNOW, THE VOTERS ARE THE ONES WHO DECIDE.
PUT HILLARY OVER THE TOP IN THE AM.
think about it obama only copies hillary.
he cannot even put up an original ad. has to copy hers.

And it was not that Obama was just tired and wanted to eat his waffles. The story is reported all over the web and here is one from the Swamp:
SCRANTON, Pa. - As Sen. Hillary Clinton was preparing to campaign here today, Sen. Barack Obama was meeting with voters at a diner and apparently pretty hungry.
"Why can't I just eat my waffle?" he said, when asked a foreign policy question by a reporter at the Glider Diner.
On the day before the Pennsylvania primary, Obama is campaigning in the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh areas, avoiding the so-called "T" section of the state dominated by rural and conservative voters.
At the diner, Obama listened to a trumpet solo from a high school student. A waitress said the 17-year-old had been waiting outside the diner for several hours before Obama arrived.
On the other side of the diner, two high school seniors had skipped school to meet Obama and got him to sign passes saying "Excuse Colin!" and "Excuse Joey!"
The Swamp is Chicago Tribune's Washington Bureau.
So, Jake, it is the press Obama has not time for.

WHAT?!! obama just backed out of the North Carolina debate?? There he goes, again: making himself scarce and unaccessable to REAL voters who want to know what he is all about before they have a chance to go and vote for their choice of Democratic Nominee.
This becoming in-accessable to the American people is becoming a habit with obama. Candidates and President's need to make themselves ACCESSABLE to America, because that is what we are getting rid of in George W. Bush--he sits on his throne somewhere and does as he pleases, and doesn't care what American's think, so he doesn't show up in public to see what they are wanting.
We don't want obama-----he's another uncaring George W. Bush, and arrogant, "MY WAY, or the Highway" guy, trying to make himself King----rewarding his rich friends for sticking by him.
Posted by: Hillary is a STRONG CANDIDATE | Apr 21, 2008 10:51:28 PM
Hillary Clinton has out-campaigned, out-fought, and out-debated obama during this WHOLE CAMPAIGN for the Democratic nomination process.
Hillary has not given up, has worked hard to show people who she really is, by meeting with the voters in America, and answering any questions that people have about what her solutions are about for America's problems, or questions about her qualifications to be President.
obama just gives speeches. Then he praises himself, and actually claps for himself when he is going to the podium to give a speech. Watch him when he gives a speech. That's the disappointment that obama would be as President if he were by chance elected: he would give speeches behind a podium, and would lecture to Americans, instead of engaging them in what they REALLY have questions and concerns about.
The way obama is, is what you will get: obama is like George W. Bush: he is FULL of himself, is arrogant, and does not really care whatsoever what concerns the average American. Do you see obama having a Town Hall meeting, where he spends time just taking questions from the American people? NO. He doesn't WANT to know what the average American wants to ask.
Hillary Clinton has those Town Hall meetings, where she does not stand behind a podium and use a teleprompter. Hillary Clinton engages the audience, and cares what their issues are. The American peoples' concerns are Hillarys concerns. She makes herself as accessable as possible, traveling all over to meet the people of this country. George W. Bush is not at all accessable to the American people, and obama would not be, either.
What you see in Hillary is what you would get in a Hillary Presidency:
HILLARY CLINTON WOULD BE THE PEOPLE'S PRESIDENT. obama is the wealthy, educated, Elitist-Democrat's person.
It's YOUR CHOICE. Choose wisely, for yourself AND your children's future, also.

HUSSEIN OBAMA IS UNELECTABLE IN NOVEMBER.
HIS RECORD DOESN'T REPRESENT THE MAINSTREAM OF AMERICAN POLITICS.
HE MAY WIN THE NOMINATION OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY,BUT IN GENERAL ELECTIONS HAS TO FACE THE REPUBLICAN
VOTERS,INDEPENDENTS AND SOME HILLARY'S
SUPPORTERS.
....AND THAT'S THE REALITY CHECK.

Obama is unavailable to the press?
Hilarious. What I find hilarious about obama is this elitist attitude he has and this message of change, yet everything lofty rhetoric that comes from his siler tongue, he manages to contradict everytime he wears his "typical" politician hat.
Obama is like every other politician, except hes inexperienced and has a hell of a lot of baggage. Going against the 527's and the republicans, I don't want another bush term, but with him running against mccain, thats we are going to get.

Is Obama that afraid to talk to the press? One really bad debate, and the questions he was being asked really were not that tough, and Obama has put an end to answering questions? This is a man who wants to be president on a platform of UNIFYING the country? If Obama can't even bring democrats together, and he can't even speak with reporters on the eve of a big primary, what's going to happen when our country is in crisis, and the American people want to know what Obama as our president is going to do? Will it be a White House news blackout? It seems that the longer the Obama campaign has to be out and about, the creepier the vibes it's sending to anyone considered "not on his side". What happened to bipartisanship? Hillary was AWESOME tonight on Keith Olbermann and Larry King Live! Hillary is just like that bunny, she'll keep going and working hard for the American people!! Hillary's not flipping the bird at anybody tonight!!! Obama waffles, Hillary shows up and talks policy!!!
NO OBAMA 08!!! He's a wimpy waffler!!!

Obama is a clean cut guy and he is head and shoulders above the other candidates in veracity and class. But it's moments like this when I wish he had served in the military. He would have a higher tolerance level for uncomfortable situations and wouldn't be so stunted and halting when he speaks extemporaneously. Four years as a junior officer or as an NCO would have done him a world of good in how he carries himself in non-scripted conditions.
Funny how lowly military veteran credentials carry more substantive qualities than an Ivy League degree. Especially when running for President.

The right answer to that question is, "As a US Senator and Presidential candidate, this is not the time for me to comment."
Simple. Then offer to trade him a cup of good coffee if he won't repeat the question. If he asks again, then you can be more direct.
Rude pushback is a famous trait in management circles. The test is, "Don't do business with a man who is rude to the help. He will be so with you or your customer."
Barack Obama is not ready to be POTUS.

I just read Obama backed out of the N.C. debate. I guess he will be eating waffles instead.

Hillary is gonna blow obama away tomorrow---I can't WAIT to CELEBRATE !!!
obama can try to spend ALL of his campaign money in PA because he is desperate to win, but the PA Voters are going to SHOW THE WORLD that obama CANNOT buy their votes, or BUY THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINATION.
Ask yourself THIS: if obama is the "clear winner for the Nomination", why hasn't he wrapped it up by NOW----or by the last couple of Primaries weeks ago? THIS ISN'T A PERSONALITY CONTEST. We Americans are looking for a PRESIDENT out of these 3 persons----who will be the REAL ONE that will start taking ACTION with doing what AMERICA WANTS:
* OUR TROOPS HOME & THE WAR OVER
* AN INVESTIGATION INTO HIGH GAS PRICES
* GETTING THE ECONOMY UNDER CONTROL
* HEALTHCARE FOR EVERYONE
* MORE MONEY FOR OUR CHILDREN'S
EDUCATION
* A REPEAL OF TAXES ON THE MIDDLE
CLASS & PUTTING THE TAX BACK ON THE
WEALTHY, WHERE IT BELONGS
--->A CLINTON GOT US THERE BEFORE, A CLINTON CAN GET US BACK THERE AGAIN.<---

When the media stop KHA then she will remember how hot that kitchen was when she was crying after Iowa, and whining during a debate. It appears that she is the only one allowed to have choices.
Posted by: MyAudacity | Apr 21, 2008 10:21:10 PM
The Hillary supporter's on all the blogs I have seen have convinced me that if she is the nominee, I will most definitely vote for McCain!
If this is the type of people who supports her style of politics, and admire her bad behavior, then I agree with Obama, John McCain would be the better president........ than George Bush! (maybe that was a dog whistle I heard.....woof!)

Senator Obama complaining and eating waffles. How in the world is he going to run the country? Senator Clinton goes on Keith Olbermann, she is not afraid of anyone or anything, certainly not a reporter asking her a question while eating a waffle.
Posted by: Tina D | Apr 21, 2008 10:17:19 PM
This is not the first time he got pissed with the press, he did that leave me alone I have answered enough with the Wright issue.
This is how he operates once the press is not on his side, or he feels the questions are not to his liking he runs off or put up a wall.
If he becomes president what will he do if he does not like what the press is saying banned them from printing anything negative about him??

Did Obama tell the reporter to Moveon? Hillary was terrific with that pompous blowhard Keith Olbermann tonight! It was shocking to see her on the show, especially since KO hasn't had one positive thing to say about her since Iowa. It says a lot about Hillary's character and what the American people mean to her, that she would go on KO's show to get her message out. Hillary was great on Larry King Live tonight as well. Hillary is tough, capable, smart and strong, exactly what we need from a president. Hillary also talked about the bipartisan work she has done and wants to continue to do if she makes it to the White House. Unlike cry baby Obama, don't interrupt my waffle eating which is much more important than the American people, Hillary can answer questions and talk policy on a moments notice. Love that Obama was eating a waffle - waffle, get it. Obama waffles, and flips, and flops, and waffles, and cries no fair, and complains that he needs a vacation...let's go to the Virgin Islands,,,,it's going to be a long hot summer for Obama....

A reporter wishing to discuss Hamas during breakfast was probably as appealing to Obama, as an alleged supporter wanting to discuss Monica Lewinski with Hillary during a rally. Maybe there should be some lines drawn as to when, what, and where an issue should be discussed.
Both issues appears to have been flames to me, with the intention of stirring up some point of controversy
Posted by: MyAudacity | Apr 21, 2008 10:10:10 PM
Obama declined the invitation to appear on the show, so what are you guys saying now every network is out to get him?
All the press is after him now, well he better get use to it if he wants in this race because running from the press is nto going to help, he will have to face them eventually.
Posted by: SJ | Apr 21, 2008 10:08:52 PM
I think his staff has put him in an anti press bubble the past few days. He also seems to be unavailable for several news programs tonight because of "scheduling conflicts"....hmmmmm. This is at least the 2nd incident over the past few weeks where the waffler has come off dismissive and aloof to people who have asked him a question, first the request for a picture, and now the reporter. His aloofness, plus his "don't bother me, I'm busy" attitude aren't playing well with average people now either. He is starting to remind me of Jimmy "Rose Garden Guy" Carter, afraid to talk to the press and hiding behind his spokesmen.

As a woman she sure is not backing down, because a few men rattle her at times. She is tuff and fighting for what she wants.
Chris Matthews, and Keith were at her daily yet see took up the challenge and went for the interview, that show metal something Obama is lacking.
It's ironic as a man after one rough debate he closes down everything, said its enough, don't want to talk to the press anymore, you would of thought that a woman would of been the first one likely to throw a fit and complain.
In this case Obama is the one acting like the whiner and Hillary is facing all comers, taking everything they are tossing at her, seems to me as a women she is showing more backbone than Obama the male.

I'd have given the same response if someone interrupted my breakfast. Most of us would, wouldn't we? The reporter was rude, and intrusive.

Saw Hillary on Countdown and Larry King -- she is terrific! Smart, capable, experienced and can handle the tough questions.
Regarding Obama's non-appearances, I sure don't buy that he had scheduling issues - especially having read more about his fear of reporters.
Go Hillary!

OH,, FORGOT
If Obama's wife and Chief campaign manager was off to Colombia promoting one of Bush's Free Trade, that will take American Jobs. Would this Primary be over?
Posted by: American9 | Apr 21, 2008 9:58:02 PM
Fact is Hillary was willing to walk into the lions den, not sit at home eating waffles, or saying am tired of debating, leave me alone.
Posted by: SJ | Apr 21, 2008 9:57:31 PM
If Hillary can fact MSNBC KO and not be worried about it, what is the deal with Obama.
We all know that MSNBC as been all over Hillary for months yet she took the offer and faced KO tonight.
Obama has to stop being such a wimp and be willing to face the fire at a drop of a hat.
Posted by: SJ | Apr 21, 2008 9:55:07 PM
Know I can't get an smart answer BUT:
If Obama had stated that he talked to a woman that did not have insurance, and she died. Then it turned out to be a lie. Obama and the Primary would be over;
If Obama or his wife support NAFTA that took American jobs would This Primary would be over.
If Obama stated he had bullets flying over his head, and it was a LIE. This primary would be over.
If Obama had repeated what Hillary stated, "If the southern voters don't support you SCREW THEM". This Primary would be over.
Question, is it that because he is black that his credibility has to be 190% greater than Hillary's to play on the same playing field?
Next Question is do you TRUST a LIAR, more than you TRUST someone who puts the cards on the TABLE face UP?
OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT.
Posted by: American9 | Apr 21, 2008 9:54:48 PM
He undoubtedly declined because he would see his weak responses were not an anomoly on ABC, but that in fact, he is inexperienced and can't handle "the heat."
I guess we'll never know the truth though, will we?
Posted by: highly capable women | Apr 21, 2008 9:52:51 PM
"Obama is not ready for prime time and he knows it."
Just how much fun it is to FOOL the people. Only Obama and his supporters know.
Folks, if you hate Hillary so much (we would never know why - unless you just are like to be HATEFUL) - just vote for McCain.
Posted by: Jkan | Apr 21, 2008 9:52:08 PM
He is afraid to answer the tough questions. He has no substance and prefer to have speech only.
Posted by: stephanie | Apr 21, 2008 9:50:07 PM
Hillary will win!!!!
With all the imperfections, mistakes and negativity, she still the best candidate. No one said we were looking for perfection for president of the USA. We are looking for someone who is willing to fight for our right and to help the country get u
